Sweet sapphic Christmas romance, a bit of a slow burn which was nice to see develop. Grace lover of all things Christmas and romance works for a company that plan special proposals. Bridget avoids all things Christmas and is too busy trying to advance her career to worry about relationships. Bridget is tasked with arranging her bosses proposal and hires Grace (who just happens to be the ex girlfriend of the boss). They get stuck in a small Christmas themed town and has all the expected tropes of a hallmark Christmas movie.

This was a fun and cozy holiday read. Perfect for curling up with some tea and a good Christmas movie.

Lisa Moreau gives us a sweet story in this beautiful romance, and it is an excellent read. We follow Grace along through the journey of healing her heart, finding a new job, and building a life for herself after her breakup from her cheating ex-girlfriend (an ex-boss). Little does she know, taking on the latest assignment in her new job at 'Tie the Knot' she will be building the celebration for Christina!

What a fun and entertaining read! I highly, highly recommend this, especially around Christmastime!

Thank you to NetGalley for the arc in return for an honest review.

I can't decide if I liked or didn't, careful choice of words, this book? A decent story, but found it hard to get into the characters. Sorry.

I'm sapphic, so Christmas lesbian love story sounds like a dream to me. However, this book was mind numbingly boring. I had no patience for the characters and honestly had to fight to get through any of it. It was Hallmark-y in the worst way possible (which is coming from someone who watches Hallmark movies religiously during the holiday season)

Lovely feel good book to read. It was a joy to read. Lovely characters. Great plot. The book was charming. Very well written. I’d definitely recommend this book. Idyllic location that set the tone of the book to perfection. Perfect seasonal book to get you in the mood for the festive season.

Thank you, NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review.

So, yes I like to read Christmas books in the middle of summer. The story of a proposal planner that has to plan the proposal of her ex, who actually asked her assistant to do it because she’s too busy with work? I really wanted to read it. And it took me a lot of time. But the second try was the good one.

The plot is messy, but so is this story. The first half of the book really made me laugh. The second half was also good. It felt like reading a lesbian hallmark movie with a lot of clichés. The one obsessed with Christmas, and the second one who builds walls around her and hates it, the instant love... Also, the fact that there is no homophobia? Yup, that’s a food point, so many lesbians. Bravo les lesbiennes.

But, because yes there’s a but, I think a lot of things were under-exploited. Like, the trauma that the characters faced? Really, love can’t heal everything, just go see a therapist. I like miscommunication, but come on, the big one felt too pushed. So you heard a rumor coming from someone you don’t know? And you just assume that she abandon you, and want to break up? Come on. Also, the sex scene? Not that good...

It’s not a bad book, but, it would be a great hallmark movie!

My next read is #TheChristmasProposal by #LisaMoreau (copy provided by @NetGalley). This book is a cute Christmas themed sapphic romance! There’s drama, and laughter, and cuteness, and lady lovin’ ladies of course! The plot does rush a bit in the last third of the book but overall an enjoyable read. #queerbookstagram #lgbt

Very cute! I was definitely in the mood for a sweet Christmassy romance - and this book delivered. The writing was a little slow-paced for me, given I'm used to less "sweet" books, but it doesn't take away from the experience. :)

If you’re looking for a not-so-typical Christmas romance this may be the one for you!!!

I LOVED the characters, setting, and background of this story. All good Christmas stories take place in a small town, right?!? Not all small towns are a breeze to get to and entering this one certainly has its challenges and risks. The setting is actually a character of its own and I would LOVE to see it in real life.

I love me a romance story, whether it be a straight or gay couple, and this one was beautiful. It’s not a linear love story which adds some dimension and fun for the reader, but it is oh so sweet and lovely!

There are challenges in this story, some of the present and some of the past, which the characters must overcome and each one is full of emotion.

I hope you will pick this one up and form your own opinion!!!!

Okay this is possibly the cutest lesbian rom-com book I have read! Lisa Moreau knocks it out of the park! Grace deserved a strong love and dealing with an ex is never easy. I was rooting for grace!

Such a sweet and cute read. It gave me all the warm holiday feelings I was hoping for. It's pretty predictable but it's exactly what I wanted.

I loved this book. It was so adorable. It had the perfect cozy feel for a holiday book. I absolutely loved Grace and Bridget together. At first I was so mad at Christina but I quickly turned those thoughts around. This book has the perfect amount of drama without being too much for a holiday book. I loved the small town feel of Mistletoe Mountain. I'm a suckered for quaint towns and come back stories. Highly recommend you grab this book and read it for yourself!

So much fun. The story was a joy to read on a nice day. Predictable but oh so good. The characters are well developed and a joy to witness as they grow

3 stars. Grace Dawson is over her ex, Christina. She left her old job working for Christina and is now a wedding proposal planner. Bridget Cartwright, Christina's new assistant has to figure out a way for Christina to propose to her girlfriend. She hires Grace, not knowing Grace is Christina's ex. Bridget insists the proposal has to be at Mistletoe Mountain, Grace's hometown. When they drive there to check the place out, there is an avalanche and the road is blocked by snow. They are both stuck there and forced to spend more time with each other.

I enjoyed the relationship between the two main characters, as they got to know each other. I was glad the drama was not originally what I thought it would be. this book was fine, I am not sure I would re-read it or anything, but I enjoyed it as I was reading it. I enjoyed how the characters developed a relationship, although I thought it was a little quick, considering they were not at Mistletoe Mountain for that long. When they get back home, it develops exactly as it seemed to be predicted and I did not like that. I sort of wish this book towards the end went in a little bit of a different direction.

The Christmas Proposal was a cute, fun holiday romance. The story was light, easy to read, and everything you would hope for from a holiday rom-com. The characters were all likable and the plot had enough surprises to keep me throughly engaged without being confusing. I also loved the setting and wish Mistletoe Mountain was a real place I could visit. I recommend this book for all of your holiday romance needs!
