Fantastic book that does exactly what it says on the tin. A holiday romance following Grace and Bridget meeting and falling in love during an avalanche that has them trapped in Mistletoe Mountain - a town that celebrates Christmas all year round! This was a brilliant, well told story that just warms the heart and feels festive.

My thoughts
This was a quick read, wasn't my cup of tea, I love romance but I just couldn't fully picture it all like I usually can so that was a disappointment. I did absolutely loved that the chapters were titled each one a reference to that chapter, not seen in many books anymore. I loved all the Christmas stuff, I am not a huge Christmas fan but I would love to go visit a place as they describe. If you need a little romance and a quick read this is your book.

My first time reading this author.
It was a quick and fun read. Nothing deep or profound but cute enough. Great for an weekend read before Christmas to get you in the spirit.

This is the first of Lisa Moreau's books that I have read, however it wasn't for me. Mistletoe Mountain is romantic and the perfect setting for a light-hearted festive read but I feel that some scenes lacked a full description. Some scenes lacked depth whilst other minor scenes were too detailed, slowing the pace of parts of the book which could have been sped up. Overall, a heart warming holiday read.

The Christmas proposal by Lisa Moreau is a fun contemporary romance where a proposal planner and an aspiring video game developer get snowed into a Christmas town.

This book manages to be equal parts fluff and introspective. The characters were likable and there was little conflict very cute lesbian romance book for the holiday season!

I've never heard of Lisa Moreau but this Christmas novel is so enjoyable. It has a fairly interesting storyline and a festive vibe to it. Bridget has been tasked to plan her boss' Christmas wedding proposal and she engages Grace from Tie The Knot, a proposal-planning company to help her with it. Unknown to them both at the start, Bridget's boss is Grace's ex and by the time they find out the truth, both of them are stuck in a small town called Mistletoe Mountain with no way to leave or back out.

I love that Mistletoe Mountain is a Christmas town that doesn't come off too cheesy. I love the irony that Bridget who hates Christmas is stuck doing everything Christmas and that it was fun. And before you think it's another one of those Christmas grinch stories again, I need to say that Bridget has an actual legitimate reason to dislike the season. One that I can buy. I love that this book is not too light and not too deep. Both characters have backstories that are sad but they open up and support each other to get past them. I suppose you can call this an insta-love story but I didn't feel the insta at all and I really loved them together.

Overall, this is a good and heartwarming Christmas novel about family and about having the strength to face the past.

Grace is a wedding proposal expert she has spent the last year getting over her ex Christina. In a twist of fate Bridget Christina‘s new personal assistant has hired Grace to put together the perfect proposal for Christina and her new girlfriend.

When Grace and Bridget find themselves stranded in Mistletoe Mountain it looks like romance is on the cards for them both.

This was such a beautiful Hallmark movie-esque escape. Incredibly heartwarming and romantic.

5/5 STARS.
The Christmas Proposal by Lisa Moreau is the perfect read and I'm not exaggerating. We need more F/F romances and more LGBT+ romance novels.
This book was amazing. From beginning to end, I was hooked and immersed in this world, following our main character Grace Dawson as she experiences heart-break, pain, love and hope again.
Reading about a character like Grace was definitely an experience. Grace is funny, quirky and relatable. I love how much effort she put into her work (she's a wedding planner) and how she doesn't give up even when things go wrong.
The romance in this book took me by surprise.. I was expecting a second chance romance but the story took another turn and I'm so glad it did. Our main love interest, Bridget, was everything and more. Her chemistry with Grace was there since the first encounter and I was rooting for them to get together. Their development and relationship was really cute and great.
The writing style is simple yet good. I love how easy this book was to read and i finished it in one sitting which rarely happens to me. The setting, the side characters, the romance, the friendship...this book has all the elements I like in romance and I had a great time reading it. It shows the importance of being yourself, while also accepting others and learning to appreciate who you are and who you love. Bridget and Grace's story wasn't easy but it was beautiful and I can't recommend this book enough.

Two women with commitment issues. One because of her childhood and the other because of a tragedy years earlier. One hates Christmas, one loves Christmas. They end up spending time together at a Christmas village. The story of how they help each other overcome these issues. No great betrayals, very little angst. A nice Christmas romance.

This was a heartwarming story. I loved all the characters. I was enthralled by the storyline and loved the setting of Mistletoe Mountain. It sounded like a lovely place to be stranded in a snow storm. The people of Mistletoe Mountain were all lovely and helpful. I loved how they looked after each other. A romantic and heartwarming story. I loved it.

I love sweet holiday romances complete with towns that want to celebrate Christmas year round. But somehow this one didn't push all my buttons. Grace Dawson works for a company that helps plan wedding proposals. Bridget Cartwright hires Grace to plan her bosses proposal, unfortunately the boss is Grace's ex. The proposal is to take place in Mistletoe Mountain which happens to be Grace's hometown. Grace isn't estranged from her family but because of bad memories she's avoided the town for years. Both MCs have some tragedy in their backgrounds to recover from.

There is a lot of potential in the story but parts didn't work for me. Bridget is so stilted and aloof at first I almost thought she was in the autistic spectrum, which she isn't. It is hard to see introvert Bridget being a smooth confident kisser just because there is mistletoe. The intimacy moment is rushed too. I don't need to know everything but we've built to this moment and bam its over. There were a few unresolved things too. We never know if the boss does the proposal accepted or knew that Grace played a part. The ending felt quick as well. The epilogue helps with closure but it feels fast and also half done. I liked reading the story but I needed more to rate it higher, Thank you to NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sweet christmas-y romance

The premise of this book was fantastic. Ex-girlfriend who is a complete romantic has to organize a proposal for her ex and plan it with her aloof and “not so into romance” assistant. The setup in the initial pages of this book had me hooked immediately. Awful bosses and two adorable MCs with very little in common, each forced into having to engage with each other in tasks that they’d rather not. Mistletoe Mountain was made into a fantastic destination that even I would have loved to visit and the characters in the town were quite sweet as well.

There were a lot of good things going with this book and there were also moments that didn’t quite work for me. The emotional connection between the two MCs happens quite suddenly - it seemed too fast when they had just been so snippy with each other moments ago. Also each of the issues that the MCs have and then comes into play to create angst in the story feels a little forced. The ending too felt a little rushed and may have been over-edited a bit because we never did get the scoop on the ex or the proposal that Grace had planned for Bridget.

All in all if you’re looking for a fun christmas-y read, this is an easy and quick story to get you in a happy mood. 3.75 stars!

There were parts of this book that I absolutely adored, but overall I was dissatisfied with this read. I wish Mistletoe Mountain was real! However, some of the language used made me cringe and question giving this author another chance. I thought that the descriptions of romantic scenes were too rushed and lacked detail. They kissed. The end. The last 20% of the book also felt way too fast and the ending left me so bored. There were also a few key issues left unresolved/without reconciliation that made the story feel empty.

Grace Dawson works at Tie the Knot, planning proposals for people who need a little help making the moment extra special. She has been tasked with helping Bridget Cartwright plan a Christmas themed proposal and she is just the right person for that job. As they work through planning, Grace discovers that not only is Bridget not the one doing the proposing but her ex girlfriend, confirmed bachelorette, Christina that is proposing. Bridget is Christina’s assistant and has been promised a potential promotion if the proposal goes well. Bridget and Grace are forced together to find the best way to get through this task without both of them losing their jobs.
I really enjoyed this Christmas romance. I loved the townspeople of Mistletoe Mountain and the two MCs were adorable. Each having to work through their own issues to get through to the end while being forced into close proximity made for a great story. Both were likable characters who had had tough histories with family and past relationships. If you’re in the mood for a cute Christmas romance this definitely fits the bill. Only thing I didn’t like was that the end felt kind of abrupt and I felt like something that should have been said wasn’t. I can’t elaborate more without spoiling the ending but it just needed one last event for me to have felt like it was a proper end.

I loved this book! It was a perfect cutesy read to start out the Christmas season.

I loved the characters Grace and Bridget and their love story was adorable. I loved Grace’s family as well. I loved how immediately accepting of Bridget they were. The small town vibes were very cute. Everything about this book screamed Christmas!

This was my first time reading the stuck in close quarters romance trope and I really enjoyed it.

The reason I did not give this book 5 stars was that I felt it ended rather abruptly. We learn about Grace’s plans to propose to Bridget, but Bridget ends up doing it first. I thought it would have been cuter if Bridget knew Grace was also planning to propose. I also thought that some of the dialogue seemed forced or unnecessary. I also thought the one sex scene was a little out of place with the rest of the book.

Mistletoe Mountain is the perfect Christmas destination unless you’re not a fan of the holiday- Bridget- or it brings out the worst memory of your life -Grace. Cherry on top is that Grace is planning her ex’s proposal. This is a Christmas Hallmark style story with sprinkles on top. A heart warming story that’s set to put you in the holiday mood. Give this sweet romance a go.

Grace works works to assist people with wedding proposals, after leaving her last job where she and her boss had been dating or so Grace thought.
Bridget has been asked by her busy boss to make arrangements for her to propose to her girlfriend. She gets assistance from Grace not knowing that she is planning her former girlfriends proposal.
Grace takes Bridget to view the proposal site which happens to be her own hometown of Mistletoe Mountain where Christmas is the town's theme. Bridget is not a fan of Christmas as Grace will soon find out.
While these two work together they soon begin to have feelings for each other.
Will the circumstances of the proposal cause problems, what about a much desired promotion Grace has been hoping for that takes her away?
This is such a charming Christmas story that was very enjoyable.

This was a super cute Christmas romance. I really enjoyed the author's writing style and the premise. It was super Hallmark-y in the best way possible. My only complaint was that in the beginning of the book when Bridget and Grace were trying to see if each other were queer, they equated liking women to being a lesbian. Still, the story was really fun. I liked the characters connection over their boss/former boss and all the Christmasy settings were super enjoyable. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a diverse holiday read.
