I really enjoyed this book! I immediately got the rest of the series. I couldn’t wait to see what happens. I would definitely recommend this book!!

Nothing that was said in the blurb of this novella has come to live inside it. Moreover almost nothing there makes any sense. It all starts with us meeting a genius policeman (or forensic scientist? it’s not very clear as to who he is in the police forces) who has lost his first case in years. Even though he’s found the place where the victims were held, he wasn’t able to help and one of them died. Now, that has had a huge impact on him, supposedly he is having hard time sleeping, nightmares plaguing him every night, and lost his ability to solve cases. It takes the new psychologist to send him for some time off because his boss obviously cannot lose the only person that is able to work there. All that happens in the span of a few pages and, as I mentioned before, doesn’t make much sense.

The only good thing I can say about this story is that it was a super quick read. Which is bad at the same time because it seems as though the book is half-cooked. Like we’ve got only a part of the story, a few chapters, and then the rest is lost. See you in the next book! Is that a joke? It would’ve made sense if it was published in some kind of magazine or something as a serial. Well, not only is it half done in terms of the length and story flow, it seems to be also written in a rush. Everything happens at the same time, the action is speeding past any sensible limits and often it jumps from one point in time to another without explanation. All this is super confusing and just keeps adding to my dislike of this book.

I have received this book in exchange for an honest review. Well, here it is. I will not make the same mistake again and not read any further books in this series.

I haven't read any books by this author before, so I didn't know what to expect. I found this to be a quick but chilling thriller. Though the story was short, it was quite intense and was interesting and caught my attention from the beginning and kept my interest till the end. It was definitely a page-turner with a cliffhanger ending that left me wanting more. The story is unresolved at the end and continues in the next one, Finding Jane, which I am anxious to read.

I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Book received for free through NetGalley

An interesting idea and I’m more curious what happens next. That said this is a short novella that ends on a cliff hanger. It also seemed like it was written choppily and could’ve been flashed out a bit more. That said it did hook me

Interesting plot, but just not quite the type of story I like. I know it is a novella, but I think it would have been better as a novel length book.

Duel Personality is My Top Heart Pounding, Nail-Biting Psychological Thriller of the Year

Wow, Wow, Wow.... What else can I say this is a short spine-tingling read that kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through. At just under 45 pages, I read the entire novella in one sitting, (well sitting and standing) and couldn't put it down. Could this be the next viral series of the year? I think so... and I am ready for the next installment. I did receive a review copy of the book from NetGalley, but this is my honest opinion.
