Absolutely loved this cooking book ! Inside you will find a nice variety of recipe to do with tomatoes (yes obvious I know 😉). Reading the recipe they look easy to follow, clear and really tasty. I want to try quickly some of them ASAP!
The book is also nice to look at and to turn the pages. I found that there is large choice of dishes going from started to only with veggies or some with more meat.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC and for the new cooking inspiration.

I come from an area of Tennessee were we have the famous Grainger County tomatoes in our grocery stores! They are the most flavorful tomatoes you could anywhere! I was super interested when I first saw the cover of this cookbook and knew I would be able to make these recipes even better than imagined. I really like that there was an image for each recipe! I am also an owner of an instant pot, and there are recipes specifically for them! There are a lot of classic recipes like Tomato Basil soup, Chili, and Salsa as well as exotic ones like Shakshuka and Tomato jam. Very beautiful images and a good amount of recipes!

As a self-styled tomato aficionado, I was excited to receive this book. Each year, I grow over two dozen tomato plants, with several different varieties. There's nothing better than biting into a sun warmed tomato, picked right off the vine. This is followed by the end of the season rush, when they all seem to come ripe at once, and, oh my god, what am I going to do with them all! Followed by several days of canning, freezing, and giving them away to the neighbors.
Thanks to this book, I now have several more ideas of what to do. Full of wonderful photography, and loaded with interesting sounding recipes, I'm going to use this book a lot. I only wish that I had received it in August, instead of November!

What a wonderful cookbook! I love tomatoes. They are so versatile. This cookbook has so many beautifully simple delicious recipes. I cannot wait for spring/summer because I will be trying all these recipes.

Not bad though not absolutely incredible.
Some recipes are very interesting and definitely hero tomatoes - those are exactly the ones I was looking for and that I tried.
Other recipes rely on some ready made sauce not currently available to me and some are simply dishes with happen to have some tomatoes as a side.
So mixed feelings but if you have tomatoes in the garden you should definitely learn some of those recipes!

Just wonderful! I was drawn to this book by its title since I have an incredible love of tomatoes. The recipes contained sound fantastic and I can't wait to try many of them. This book contained a lot of useful information about tomatoes, different varieties, and the best variety to use in different recipes and forms of cooking. The photography throughout is brilliant and really highlights the true beauty of the humble tomato. 💗🍅💗

The title of this book says it all!
My childhood memories of going into my Granny’s green house with that unmistakable, powerful smell of home grown tomatoes, lingered with me throughout this colourful book, crammed with mouthwatering recipes. There is no doubt that this single ingredient, bursting with healthy goodness, enriches so many dishes with depth of flavour and colour, I can’t wait to try Shakshuka, sounds like the perfect family, Sunday brunch!

If you love tomatoes then this book is for you. I got a lot of new hacks (butter and box grater for scone) and obviously, new recipes to try. Please don't read this on an empty stomach, though. At the very least, make sure your pantry is well-stocked, so you wouldn't have a problem when you're suddenly hankering to cook the recipes on this book.

Thank you to NetGalley, Storey Publishing, and Joy Howard for the ARC of Tomato Love in return for my honest review.

This cookbook is full of beautiful photos and endless recipes for fresh and canned tomatoes. Many standard/traditional recipes with a new twist as well as creative new ideas. Great vegetarian selections also. Great cookbook to add to your collection--would also make a great gift for any vegetable gardener friend!

Tomato Love by Joy Howard is truly a tomato love story of recipes that are practical and will be used on a daily basis.  The simplicity inspires the reader to use these recipes as a jumping off point to try their own variations.  The author is not a “fresh tomatoes only” snob and encourages the reader to use quality canned tomatoes, cautioning that whole tomatoes are best since others have additives to hold the shape of the cooked tomatoes.

There are so many recipes that I will add to my repertoire but my favorites are the Sundried Tomato Scones (I never would have thought to grate in garlic), the Sweet Smoky Spicy Barbecue Sauce (It actually starts with ketchup!), and the Grilled Cilantro-Basil Chicken Skewers (Pure summer on a plate).  Of course, the BLT Kabobs would make the cutest addition to any appetizer table. And Tomato Grilled Cheese – pure yumminess! I’m in love with Tomato Love. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy and all opinions are my own.)

Some reworking of old favourites in this one. Not as groundbreaking as I had hoped but still has plenty of inspiration.

One of my favorite fruits is tomato! It's so good for you and you can use it for so many things. This book felt perfect for me. It contains lovely combination of breakfast, side dishes and mains. Not necessarily with tomato as main ingredient, but it shows the diversity of how you can use tomato in your dishes. I will most definitely be making the classic tomato base soup, Herb-roasted grape Tomatoes and Caprese pasta salad more often! Highly recommend it.

A small but nice cookbook with tomatoes as the main ingredients or added on. There are recipes for salsas, chilli, salad, soup, pasta and more. I was expecting more about this book, it was too simple with basic recipes. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

I love tomatoes like Bubba loves shrimp. Raw, cooked, grilled, roasted, saucy…you know where I’m going with this. So I was so excited to get an advanced copy of “Tomato Love” by Joy Howard and Storey Publishing. A whole cookbook devoted to tomatoes?! Sign me up!

The introduction is a wealth of wonderful information! Howard discusses the varying types of tomatoes, what season to best to use these tomatoes, and the best recipe types for each tomato variety. I appreciated how she didn’t just keep dwelling on “in season.” Yes, we all understand this, but most of us still have to get by with canned sometimes, which Howard acknowledges and endorses.

The recipes I’m going to try first are some of the staple recipes (Tomato Vinaigrette and No Cook Tomato Sauce) as well as the inventive yet approachable Gingery Bacon-Tomato Fried Rice. In general, the recipes are straight forward, crowd pleasing, and approachable. I would have liked the addition of a few riskier recipes to push the envelope just a tad.

I’m sure the formatting will be fixed by the publication date, as it was a little disjointed on the kindle version. I think it might be interesting to divide the recipes by tomato type since tomatoes are the star ingredient and the introduction really sets it up to support this. It could also help the reader to highlight the tomato type in the recipe in some way (bold text or a certain font perhaps). Again, we are all here for the tomatoes so it would be prudent to follow that theme.

There are definitely a lot of recipes in here sure to please all types of pallets. The cookbook made me miss the bounty of summer tomatoes and all the possibilities Howard offers!

Thank you to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for the advance copy.

Beautiful photographs of tomatoes and the actual finished cooked recipes.

A must for tomato lovers. Many recipes celebrate the tomato and some of the recipes e.g the stews the tomatoes are the ‘supporting’ ingredient. The book has a nice overview of tomato types and useful cooking tips and includes a range of recipes cover: Breakfast & Brunch; Snacks, Salads, Soups & Stews; Vegetable Mains; and Meaty.

The book has American measurements and names for herbs e.g cups and cilantro, but I don’t think this is an issue as most home cooks have cups and know the different US names for food items.

The recipes are really straightforward and easy to follow. I look forward to trying more recipes in coming weeks.

There are some really mouthwatering recipes and some recipes had flavours that I was unfamiliar with. I’ve tried a couple of recipes that I wasn’t’ familiar with, the Patlican Soslu was an absolute taste sensation. The Sun-dried tomato-white bean dip was gorgeous dip and will be my go-to recipe for a dip now!

Many thanks to Netgalley and Storey Publishing for supplying me with an ARC.

This was brilliant - gave me some great ideas for tomatoes both fresh and canned, for all meal types. Some of these I had been using but different takes on it.

The photos were an added bonus.

I was given an advance copy by netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own.

I love tomatoes! Do does my family and we can't get enough of these sweet red babies in season. This book gives me time to plan for next season's bounty, and let me tell you I want to try all of the recipes in here. I'm drooling just looking at some of these dishes and can almost taste that first bite each year.

If you're a tomato lover too, this book is for you! Filled with recipes and easy to follow instruction outlined in colored colored photos throughout, you'll be drooling and planning too. I'm going to add a few more varieties next year so we can live on love and tomatoes all summer long! PS I knew this was my book when the author said she favors Heinz ketchup as I do...and for the very same reasons. Now I'm hungry...off to find something tomatoey to enjoy!

Tomato Love is a recipe book for tomato lovers everywhere. It is healthy and luscious with beautiful pictures and mouth watering meals. The only thing that bothered me a little is that tomatoes are in nearly all recipes and without the title it seems just like any other recipe book. Maybe real tomato lovers will see it differently but for me it was just a healthy recipe book. Nice but not outstanding. It would make a great gift for all tomato growers and enthusiasts.

I thought that tomatoes would be the star ingredient to the recipes - they were there in most although not apparent in the Shrimp cocktail for two, or the Chicken meatballs although that was accompanied by Any-Day Red Sauce, that seems to be a classic tomato sauce when I found it. They were an interesting mix of recipes covering all main aspects of cooking - baking, pasta, soups and so on. Some have meat, some don't, so something for all. A pretty good mix and probably useful for a newish cook. Ingredients easy to find and make use of tomatoes fresh, dried, canned and bottled. Well illustrated. Downside - whilst there is a useful section on tomato varieties these are types, not varieties - types such as Beefsteak, Campari (not used in UK), cherry, Roma ie plum and so on. Measurements in cups but that's not a problem really - we Europeans are used to them by now. It is pre-publication so I simply assume that the Index will be compiled in due course and not be the one included which clearly has nothing to do with the book. there are an awful lot of blueberries in it! Overall an interesting mix of straightforward, easy recipes but nothing that especially grabbed me I'm afraid. However, I'll still give it 4* as it could be a useful addition to some cooks' bookshelves. Thanks to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
