Interesting book for kids to start understanding feeding the animals, pets they might have at home. While cat doesn't share the same meal as dog, this book might help young children understand that.

What a sweet board book. Little ones can choose what to feed each pop-up animal (a v-fold pop-up) from a variety of snacks that are dangling down from the spine on the outside of the book. Each of the baby animals emerge with their mouths wide open ready for a tasty morsel.

The reader must make a choice as to which snack goes into the right mouth making this book unique, interactive and loads of fun.

It is part of a series that encourages young ones to problem solve and converse with a parent or carer so the proper food arrives inside the correct animal's tummy. The book also allows a young child to practice playful hand-eye coordination. The food choices can be either the exact food the pet would eat or a silly choice which would offer inappropriate foods to each character resulting in lots of giggles and merriment.

The animal characters are adorable, colourful and very kid-friendly. The text is short and simple. I'm sure this board book will be revisited time and time again and each time will bring a smile to a toddler's face.

Hungry Pets is an adorably illustrated and vividly bright board book about feeding animals. There are lots of fun noise sounds throughout the book that will make children giggle. There are fold-out faces of the animals with food to "feed" them attached with ribbons. Very small children will love this interactive little story that will certainly keep them engaged.

Really cute! This book is great for teaching young kids problem-solving in a fun, interactive way, using some of the animals they're likely to see in their daily lives! Early child educators and librarians can easily adapt this book for read-alouds and storytimes by using puppets or felt stories to make it come alive for a larger crowd.

Hungry Pets is a wonderfully interactive book for toddlers! The story is simple, each page asks the reader to feed a different animal one of the foods attached. Kids will love figuring out the right choice and feeding the animals!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.

Thanks to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books, Happy Yak for a free digital copy.

A simple and fun board book about feeding pets. A cat, a rabbit, a bird, and a dog. They are all hungry and you need to identify what they need to eat. Colorful and appropriate for toddlers.

This book is not ideal to be enjoyed in the ebook version. It depicts different hungry pets than can be "fed" by choosing from the foods dangling from the back cover. A very cute book for small children.

This is going to be an adorable print book for kids! I really loved it and all the animal sounds. Kids will get a kick out of the interactive parts (and learn things in the process). A great all-in-one book.

Cute book with what appears to be adorable flaps and little "snacks" for kids to feed the animals, loved it! Definitely a cute paper book to help improve those fine motor skills.

This is sure to be an oft-repeated favorite! This vivid, adorable board book offers both pop-ups and interactive pieces for young readers to "feed" various pets. The text is short and simple, but contains expressive words that little ones will love to hear and imitate.

This is definitely a read-with-me book due to delicate pieces and parts, but what toddler won't love looking at pets and playing pretend? This is as close to a guaranteed hit as I can imagine!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

This brightly illustrated book is for the youngest children. They will get to feed the pets from the choices that are attached to the book. Faces also pop up which the children may enjoy. Of course, I could not get the full benefit of all of this with my ARC but it seems appealing.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

OK, so this wasn't a book that was ideal to review digitally, but what I saw was fine – to a point. We get four household creatures that are hungry – a parrot, a bunny, a cat and a dog, and the flaps that open up show them mouths agape and starving. So you have to choose one of four food ribbons dangling from the structure of the book to 'feed' to each animal. In other words, no you cannot feed the cat with the parrot, however much that would be a realistic option. Instead, moggie gets a piddly little fish for his lunch – or would you rather switch and swap, and give the animals nonsense foodstuffs? The dog must have tried watermelon some time in her life, surely?! Let's face it, this isn't a book, but it's a tool for getting the very young hand used to handling and interacting with a book, and that is a vital part of anyone's household set-up.
