She is really Moxie, isn't she?

When I saw this book, I was attracted by that beautiful young couple on it, and the title seemed even more exciting. Moxie.
I wanted to read something light and romantic, so this book was chosen by me.

The book has exceeded all my expectations! Faye and Will's love story seems so beautiful, romantic and in the same time full of hope, waiting and loss.

Faye was a young beautiful girl, who dared to kiss a stranger so as not to lose the bet. She does not believe in feelings and is convinced that people always leave each other like her brother.

Will is one of my favourite character, his principles and attitude towards life and other people show him as a good person, and handsome.

The plot is full of unexpected twists, thus making the book unputdownable. The book is structured like Faye's story, what she told her granddaughter Gretchen about those distant days.

I enjoyed reading Moxie but wished more information about Faye and Will's families, their brothers and just I wanted the book not to end.

I will highly recommend Moxie to everyone who loves historical fiction and romance.

Thanks to Michelle Cornish, Wild Thorns Press and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book!

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I LOVE this book!!! I had just finished reading a thriller book (that unfortunately wasn’t so great) so I needed to read something that I was going to fall in love with. I was torn between choosing a romance or a historical fiction. I was hesitant on picking a historical one because even though it’s one of my absolute favorite genres, sometimes they are way too depressing….and to be honest, with the holidays approaching I want to read happy books because it’s a joyous time of year. I am SO glad I picked this one!!! Of course it had sad parts (every book based on WWII will make you tear up at some point while reading). But, this was so much more…it was a beautifully written love story! I felt like I was sitting in that room at Gram’s bedside while she told her granddaughter about her time during the war and the great love of her life. This was a short, quick read and if I HAD to say one negative thing about it, I would just say that I wish it was longer because I didn’t want it to end!

Faye and Will find each other during a dance that changes both their lives. Will, a typical World War II soldier, is having some fun with his fellow soldiers before he embarks to combat in the European theater. Faye is also having fun with some girlfriends when she meets Will at that dance and is inexplicably drawn to him. Faye is working long hours in her important job as a code breaker. The two exchange addresses and write to each other during this historic time.
Will's wartime journey has him spending years in a POW camp in Germany, while Faye continues to work in the Washington D.C. area not knowing what has happened to Will since his letters stop due to his capture.
This is a nice love story and the characters are interesting and the storyline is compelling. If you like romances this is a nice read. Thanks to #Moxie#Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
