This is an absolutely outstanding idea! I have read Christmas advent countdown books before, but taking that concept and making it a historical romance stories... chef's kiss! I felt they were the perfect length for what the anthology is about, and how the stories draw you into a warm cozy holiday scene is wonderful. If you love holiday reads, definitely add this to the top of your list.

A historical Christmas Advent calendar...sign me up! This was a very cute concept for a Christmas anthology and I looked forward to reading a new story each day. All of the stories are good.

I was lucky to get an arc from netgalley for this, and it made my Christmas season so enjoyable. Filled with 24 short stories of name scenarios. I loved them all, which is rare to find. I read it all at once, then I read one story a day in between other books just to provide that sweet romance feel.

A collection of 24 Regency Christmas-themed short stories that are well written. I know I will read again, and do what you are meant to do read a story a day until Christmas. They are short enough for a bedtime read. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoy this authors historical romances, so when I seen there was an Advent on for the holidays, I knew I wanted to read it! I really loved that the stories were short but sweet and heartwarming romances! I love short stories and this was perfect for that! Each story gave us a variety of characters & HEA’s! Christmas reads are always fun too! I can’t wait to see what’s next from Sophie!

I liked this collection of short stories but they could be repetitive. Overall, a solid Christmas read, though.

I've always loved advent calendars and I've been a fan of Sophie Barnes's narrative for a while, so this book was the perfect read.

This is a holiday romance advent calendar anthology where every story ends with a kiss and you read one story a day until Christmas. I love the concept of this book but I ended up binging it in a couple days 😂 The stories are pretty romantic and sweet for the most part, but some were too short to build attachments to the characters. There also isn't really any diversity among the characters, but it was still an enjoyable read for the holidays ☺️

An advent calendar, but it’s a book?!? This is one of my favorite ideas ever! Each chapter is a short historical romance story, for a total of 24 stories (December 1-24). The length of each story is perfect for reading one per evening before bed (my preference, but obviously these can be read at any time of day!). There were a variety of tropes represented in the stories. I found myself wanting more of each story – more about the characters, the backstories, etc., although that defeats the purpose of the book – ha ha! Due to a winter break vacation, I got off track with reading one per night, and then ended up reading a bunch of the stories in a row. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that; I think that’s why I was wanting more from each story. Even if you decide to read this outside of the Christmas season (which you totally can and should!), one per night will allow for optimal enjoyment!

Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC. In fact, thanks to Netgalley for introducing me to Sophie Barnes. I genuinely enjoy most of her books, but this one was different. It is a series of short stories, all Christmas-themed, as a sort of advent calendar of stories. The stories definitely had some promise, but I found they were too shallow and incomplete for my taste. They delivered exactly what was promised, but I was disappointed because I have come to expect more from this author. I would be thrilled if she took some of these stories and turned them into novels.

I have never read a book advent calendar before and I thouroughly enjoyed that experience. Getting to read a christmas-y story every single day was a whole lot of fun. However, I feel like the stories in this collection were often just a bit too short for my liking and I just wanted them to be a couple of pages longer. There are also a lot of the same tropes used throughout the entirety of this collection and that could get a bit boring to read at a certain point. So yeah, I had fun with this collection but it wasn't perfect either. The average rating actually perfectelly expresses my enjoyment of this book truly.

Sealed With a Yuletide Kiss is the romance advent calendar I've been waiting for! This idea was so fun and I looked forward to each installment. Sophie Barnes has written the most festive and easily consumable historical romance must-read for the holiday season!

This book was surprisingly enjoyable. A collection of 24 historical romances that are supposed to be read daily as a bookish advent calendar. Each short story is a standalone Christmas tale. Although short stories in this fashion tend to be under developed and repetitive, I did not find that to be the case here. I enjoyed every heart warming, romantic yuletide tale and couldn't wait for the next one. This unique idea was a fun holiday read that I will be rereading in Christmases to come!

This author is one of my favorites. I read the description for this book, a Christmas story for every day until Christmas and I was excited. But, i also thought that 25 stories were too much to read. I read the stories and each heroine is different and each hero is different. The only similarities in the stories is that a couple has an HEA at the end.
The problem with the stories is that the endings lack finishing. The first 6 stories I read thinking that the story was just skipping around between different chapters. But no, the stories just do not have an ending. It is a tease, really, to read a story and get involved, then the ending isn't a total finish.
I guess, I am just spoiled by all this authors out there that give the reader and ending and epilogue or an ending that is a final chapter. But for some authors, they just stop writing where they think an ending would go. But there isn't an ending, just the writing stopped. It seems that the character development doesn't need a finality. But I find stories like this lacking. I do not like stories like this and I found the majority of the stories in this anthology had that problem.
I am not happy to have to write a review where there is negative comments or not a recommendation to read, but here we are. I was not happy with this anthology and I do not recommend reading. So I will just say 2.5 stars, no recommendation.

I liked the idea of an advent calendar but couldn't read it once a day when I start a book I have to finish it. The novella's were very short as if to be read in a lunch break not how I read but very enjoyable story's anyway.

What a delightful collection of short, holiday stories - perfect for this time of year! Ms. Barnes has once again provided us with a satisfying and magical romantic treat.
I'd advise you to get your favorite hot drink and find a comfy place to curl up with this gem of a collection. These heartwarming stories will melt your heart and sweep you away into a world of romance and smiles. The stories are short, so you can easily get through it in one day, but that does not take away from all the sweetness and fun they will give. All the stories were well-written with wonderful characters that you will fall in love with. A charming and delightful collection!

A Countdown to Christmas with a different story for each day of the advent calendar! How unique and fun this novel was. Sophie Barnes is new to me and I'll search out her other work. Happy endings, uplifting words, emotionally satisfying and each story is complete.
