I loved this book! It's well-written, enjoyable, and a great read. The author did a great job of writing in a way that captures the readers attention, and makes you not want to put it down until you're finished! I would highly recommend it!

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

HERE FOR THE DRAMA is another reason to love Kate Bromley. Her characters are fun to read about. There is humor, intelligence, and just the right level of heat. I am here for this book!

Here for the Drama is one of those fun, cute, surprisingly deep at times books that you just enjoy reading but can't pinpoint exactly why. Just a good story, with theatre fun, and a nice romantic storyline woven in. Also, the dialogue was so charmingly witty, I laughed out loud.

Hello

Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title.

While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.

I look forward to continuing to work with you in 2023 and beyond.

BOOK REVIEW

BOOK: Here for the Drama
AUTHOR: Kate Bromley
FORMAT: eBook
RATING: DNF (did not finish)

MY THOUGHTS

I started this book and found that I had a lot of difficulty connecting to the story. I did not finish it, not for lack of quality of the book but more so that I felt it was a “right book wrong time” situation where I wasn’t in the right mindset for this one at this time! Hopefully will be picking it back up in the future!

A cute book with cute dog and cute characters, A little dramatic like the title states. Thanks to Harper for the arc for my honest review.

Here for the Drama is a lighthearted and witty romance. Fun characters, smart banter, and an adorable romance make for a fun rom-com.

Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read and review this title. All opinions and mistakes are my own.

Winnie’s dream is to write her own play, but for now she’s an assistant to Juliette, a famous female playwriter. When Juliette’s play gets picked up in London, Winnie hops on a plane to help out. In London Winnie is busy trying to write her own play, dealing with Juliette and the problems that arise with production and trying to keep Liam a secret, Juliette’s handsome nephew that Winnie is forbidden to date.

If you enjoy theatre and drama this one is for you! There were some laugh out loud moments and the banter was witty. Winnie is a strong female lead and she has the most adorable rescue pup named Ollie, that makes multiple appearances. Liam is British and swoon worthy. It was a fun and sweet forbidden love romance set London.

I. Loved. This. Book. From the witty writing to the clever plot, and everything in between, Here for the Drama by Kate Bromley has everything I could ask for in a rom-com. I related to Winnie right away. I also liked Roshni. At first, I thought she was going to be a third wheel, non-important character. But her wit is sharp, and the banter between her and Winnie is thoroughly entertaining. To me, the rom com aspect almost took a backseat to the drama of rehearsals. I kept wanting to get back to the pop-up performance of Juliette’s play. Oh yeah, and the rom-com is fun too. Just a winning book all around. For more details, please visit Fireflies and Free Kicks. I loved Talk Bookish to Me so I was really excited to get my hands on this one. I really loved the romance between Liam and Winnie but I wanted more from them. The back and forth teasing was pure perfection.

I thought the main focal point of this book was alot on Juliette. It was hard to like her b/c she was so self centered and i didn't really have any interest in reading that much on her. It was hard to read how much she pushed Winnie into doing things that she should be doing herself. That is the reason why I am rating it a 3 star.

This one was VERY hard for me to get into. I tried and tried, but the characters and I just never connected. I'm not a big theater gal, so maybe that's why and this is simply just a me issue.

Kate writes another hard-to-put down book. You are drawn into the lives of Juliette and her assistant, Winnie, and their trip across the pond to put on one of Juliette's plays. You will learn to hate Juliette and cheer for Winnie. Of course, throw in a stray dog and a cute guy and what's not to love? It's a book that is sure to be a re-read for it's entertaining plot and love triangle.

It took me a little while to get into this book, but once I got through the beginning I enjoyed it for the most part. I loved the theater setting and all the side characters.

Loved the setting of this story, obvs. The characters were well drawn and the conflicts were believable and interesting. The main love interest was not the swooniest but that can be forgiven because of the other cute aspects of the story.

You know those books where you read with a smile on your face and in your heart? This is one of those. Bromley’s witty dialogue and sassy banter never lets up, in this funny, charming, sexy and absolutely fabulous romcom. I wasn't sure going into this one as I haven't read anything from Bromley before, but, not to be too dramatic - I LOVED it. I flew through it with eagerness and couldn't wait to find out what happens to Winnie. I was definitely Here For The Drama! and this is how I like my drama, on the pages of a book or in reality TV.

4.5 stars.

"No one's perfect. You shouldn't expect yourself to be."

I really liked how realistic this book was when it came to following one's dreams and accomplishing one's goals. Winnie's dream has always been to become a successful playwright. She's not there yet though, and for now, is an assistant for the extremely successful playwright Juliette Brassette. In Winnie's eyes, Juliette is an amazing boss and friend. Juliette is a person Winnie dreams of becoming one day. So, of course when Juliette's world-famous play is getting staged at an experimental theatre company in London, England, Winnie continues to be the perfect assistant and follows Juliette to London to help her there. When Winnie gets to London, she meets Juliette's nephew Liam. DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? But, it's not always butterflies and sunshine. Juliette tells Winnie not to date Liam, and instead pushes her to see other men, and starts setting Winnie up with these terrible dates? Just so Juliette can get inspiration for her own writing? Hmmm, that's not very nice. Despite all of this, Winnie is seen to be extremely loyal to Juliette, and hangs on to her every word, especially when Juliette tells Winnie she'll read her script that she plans to submit for the upcoming competition. But, as the story goes on, one can tell that Juliette...only cares about herself. Even then, Winnie is still there for Juliette in every way, but at the same time, cannot resist Liam, because he's dreamy, adorable, and truly sees Winnie for her talent. He even gives her a reality check when it comes to her current assistant job. Is Juliette really a good boss, or is she preventing Winnie from reaching higher success? This book is definitely a lot of chaos, but it is a wonderful read about self-discovery and growth. AND YES LIAM IS THE DREAM BOYFRIEND WE ALL NEED.

I thought the romance was great and I wished the book was centered more around that than all the other storylines. I love the banter.
