Many thanks to NetGalley, Rosewind Books, and Lindy Miller for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. My thoughts and opinions are 00% my own and independent of receiving an advance copy.

This is the perfect time of the year for this story. If you are in the mood for a Christmas story with romance and family traditions then this is the story for you! Roxanne reluctantly goes to visit her family for Christmas. As a rising fashion editor from New York City she doesn’t do down time. But her grandmother is insisting on the family being together so homeward bound she goes. Unprepared for the blizzard that hits as she is driving up the mountain, she is rescued by a park ranger who takes her home to his cabin to recover.

This is a Hallmark movie in book form and you can follow the bouncing ball through the story. Does that make it any less enjoyable - absolutely not! Mark is hunky and kind and adorable and I want to be stranded in his cottage. You also have the deeper story of Roxanne realizing what she wants out of life and reconnecting with family. That’s the heart strings pull. The writing was solid, the characters likeable and the story just works. A very satisfying read!

This was a lovely short novel. I really enjoyed reading it. It is one of them stories where you finish the book with a smile on your face. It was fairly predictable as quite a few romance novels are. But it's the way this love story develops that made this story so great. It was a great heartwarming story which was just what I needed. For a short book at 160 pages the characters were well developed and lovable. My favourite character has to be the ranger mark. I actually think this story would make a great Christmas film.

I definitely recommend this cosy Christmas story. I thought it was great that the author put a recipe at the end of the book.

Many thanks to the author and publishers for creating this wonderful story that has put me in the mood for Christmas.

I really enjoyed this book! This is the first book I have read by this author. I will definitely look for more! It was a sweet, cute romance book set around Christmas, which is my favorite holiday! I would definitely recommend this book!

Upon seeing the cover of this book, my first question was: "Isn't "Bread Loaf" is an odd name for a mountain? " My second question: "Why would the author use that rather unromantic name in the title of her romance book?"

So, of course, inquiring minds need to know, and I had to investigate. Turns out there really is Breadloaf Mountain in Vermont. And from looking at the photos, it really is shaped like a loaf of bread!

Okay, mystery solved. Now I can go on to read and enjoy the book!

This story is about Roxanne Hudson, a woman who doesn't have time to celebrate Christmas, especially if it takes her away from New York City and her hectic job as a rising fashion editor. But she finally gives in to her family's pleading and heads to Green Mountains in Vermont, to spend the holidays with what will probably be her grandmother's last Christmas. She misjudges the weather on her trip to her family's' remote cabin, and drives right into a snowstorm. She skids off the road, hits her head against the window, and hears the sound of sleigh bells right before losing consciousness.

She regains partial consciousness a bit later to a man who is flashing a pen light in her eyes, trying to see if she has a concussion. That man is park ranger Mark Foster. Roxanne doesn't realize it at the time, but this cute-meet is the beginning of a new journey for her -- a journey that leads her to question her life and career in New York. The more she runs into Mark (who, it turns out, knows her family well), the more she wonders if , her on-again, off-again boyfriend Hunter is really what she wants for her future.

This charming, light romance is a nice change from some of the books I've read recently, where the hero and heroine seem to jump into bed within hours of meeting each other. I yearned to see a slow build in a romantic relationship, where the hero and heroine really get to know each other and like each other as friends "with a spark". This book met that desire. The holiday setting put me in a festive mood, even though I read this in February! (Christmas at a mountain cabin in Vermont? Count me in!)

Thank you to Netgalley and Hidden Gem Books for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This is a sweet book. The two main characters are Roxanne and Mark. Roxanne is a fashion designer and Mark is a ranger. Roxanne is on her way at Christmas to her family lodge it is snowing blizzard conditions. Something runs in front of her, her car spins around and crashes. Mark comes by and sees and rescues her. He takes her back to his house. They talk and wrap presents that they will take the next day to his neighbors for presents from Santa. He takes her to her family cabin. The share a mutual attraction and fall in love.

If you’re looking for a book that feels like a Hallmark Christmas movie, here it is.

There’s a sweet holiday romance and lots of Christmas magic.

Roxanne works in fashion in NYC, her and her long term on again off again boyfriend are off again.

She’s going to spend Christmas at her family’s cabin in the mountains, it might be her grandmother’s last Christmas (that said, this book isn’t the slightest but sad).

She wrecks her car on the way and is rescued by a ranger named Mark. Her parents know him, so she feels safe to accept his offer to stay over because the roads are so bad.

Mark really gets into the Christmas spirit and he tells Roxanne she might believe in Christmas magic again. After spending home with Mark and hearing bells ring, she thinks he might be right.

Short, super sweet and very Christmassy. This is exactly the book I wanted to read.

I got to read an early ebook edition from NetGalley. Thanks!

One of the best Christmas stories I've read this year. Very heart warming. Characters to fall in love with. I'm hoping the author has more books I can read.

A feel-good story with fun characters, palpable chemistry, and tons of Christmas spirit! This is a must-read during the holiday season.

This is a perfect snowed-in book to read with a warm beverage under a coat blanket! I only wish there was an epilogue!!! I wanted more of their sweet romance.

Sleigh Bells on Bread Loaf Mountain is a nice short holiday story that takes place in Virginia's Green Mountains. The book follows the chance meeting and development of Roxanne and Mark's relationship. Roxanne is at a crossroads in her life and she finds that Mark (and Vermont) is just what she needs in her life. This is a book about family, Christmas magic, romance, and being true to yourself... it has a very "Hallmark-esque" feel- and needs to be on your holiday book list. Lindy Miller is a new-to-me author and after reading this book, I definitely would like to read more of her books in the future.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was a lighthearted Christmas read that we all need at this time of the year. Makes you feel good when everything ends up okay.

A quick easy read for the holidays. Roxy is heading up to the family cabin in Vermont, leaving her beloved New York for the holidays to spend it with family. Running off the road and getting stuck was not part of the plan. Nor meeting up with hunky ranger Mark. Cute and likeable but formula style too. Crappy ex-boyfriend shows up, no details on whether Mark could have taken her to her parents instead of staying with him an extra day. And the dream job is given up so quickly. All part of the wonders of love and Christmas, but felt like a Hallmark movie. If you like those then enjoy. I like them too, but in doses. Would recommend.

Do you want to spend this evening in a warm and cozy environment with an amazing Christmas book in your hands? Then grab Sleigh Bells on Bread Loaf Mountain, turn on the christmas tree lights, make yourself comfortable in the armchair and get ready for an exciting journey to the Green Mountains!

The book is read in one breath, easily immerses a reader in the Christmas atmosphere, it is a beautiful winter fairy tale that makes to wish to visit it, to live it. And those recipes at the end of the book are just treasures! Really! I will definitely try to bake them.

I enjoyed reading the book so much. I even heard the bells ringing myself, such pleasure!

I will recommend the book to all my bookish friends who love well-written romance and Christmas, and even to people who don't like Christmas holidays, maybe they will change their mind after reading this amazing book.

Thanks to Lindy Miller, Rosewind Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book!

Sleigh Bells on Bread Loaf Mountain was a book I wanted so much more from than I got.
Roxanne is a fashion editor who truly does not enjoy the Christmas season at all, but she knows she needs to be with her family this year because it could be the last one, she will have with her grandmother. So off she goes to the Green Mountains to spend the holiday at the family cabin with everyone. She goes alone because her boyfriend is busy.
After an accident she is recused by Mark a local ranger. A storm causes him to only be able to get her to his cabin.
The story had so much potential, but I did not find myself feeling any connection between the two. The story was set to be a should be fall for Mark or stay with her boyfriend. It was an OK book but left me not caring what her decision was going to be.
Thank you NetGalley and Rosewind Books for this copy. This is my personal review.

This one goes under the “city girl climbing the corporate ladder is too busy for Christmas” category. At fewer than 100 pages, it was a very quick read. I think I read this one plus one more on Veterans Day as I recovered from my Covid booster.

To distinguish this one from the others, there’s a little bit of…magic? Fate? Something, as Roxanne keeps hearing sleigh bells that no one else can hear.

I’m sure you can figure out how things go, with the ex-boyfriend, with Mark, and with Roxanne’s family. It definitely follows the formula. However, the author also has a definite message about ties between the fashion industry and the prevalence of body-image problems and eating disorders.

Another one for your “clean reads” pile.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Sleigh Bells on Bread Loaf Mountain was so freakin adorable that I finished it in one sitting. This was the cozy winter love story that I want to read and watch all season long. The only thing I didn't quite understand was the jingle bells. I was glad that the grandmother tied them in a bit at the end, but it still felt a bit odd and maybe I was just thinking too much about it.

4/5 Stars
