This book is a great book for someone who is interested in bringing a cat in their life. It's also a pretty good book for those who already have cats. This book gives insight to your cat's behavior. I totally know that my cat is howling by the door because he wants to go out. I figured it's because he wants to go outside and hang out with our neighbors, but it's really because he has major FOMO with his other feline friends (even though he doesn't have any outside feline friends).

While I know my cats love me, I love reading how cats show their affection towards you. It's nice to read about it and experience that affection. This book also gives you information on how to take care of your cat like how to help your cats with grooming and the right way to introduce another cat into your lives so that it's not so stressful.

I am a new cat owner. I have 2 under the age of 1. Over the past few months, I have found myself googling none stop questions to see if my cats can have this or if they can have that. Having this type of cat book is a must need when you have cats and want answers for their behavior. The information is easy to read and find and the photos are downright adorable.
This is a great book for anyone with a fur baby. You can find answers to questions from Why Wiskers to The Purpose of Purring.

I’ve had cats for most of my life and there was very fun information in this book! There is some information that I already knew but I liked reading it. The author answers some questions regarding cat training, feeding, nail clipping and litter boxes. This is a revised 2nd edition of The Cat Behavior Answer book originally released in 2007.

Arden Moore has set the book up as a Q and A and addressed many questions that you may already think you know the answers to including, training feeding, nail clipping and litter boxes problems, but also includes many other issues you may not have answers for (cat proofing the house, deciphering the cat tail language, do cats dream, does my cat like me?

I really enjoyed the format, the pictures and the wide variety of answers that include different cat breeds as examples. If you are trying to communicate with your cat, thinking of adopting a kitten, or just want to ensure your pet has a super happy life, this book is for you! #ArdenMoore #TheCatBehaviorAnswerBook

It is rare that an informative book is also quite interesting, but such is the case for this title. I was unfortunately not able to finish it due to time restraints, before it expired from my shelf, but I am definitely keeping an eye out for it at publishing! As a cat lover I never pass on an opportunity to read more about my favourite animal. It's always fun to read about their quirks and about other people's experiences and thoughts with and on them. This book is for the new cat parent and the experienced one. Cats simply never get boring.

An interesting insight into cat behaviours. I liked the question and answer style, with plenty of pictures interspersed. As a long time cat owner, I didn't necessarily learn anything new from the book, but it was good to know that others experience life with cats in the same way as we have!

The book is informative, but since I've read a lot about cats it wasn't a lot of new information. I like how the chapters are divided and the information is presented. It is an easy quick read.

This is a revised 2nd edition of Arden Moore's book originally released in 2007. I'm a cat owner and I've followed and tried to read a lot about cat care over the years, so I was hoping to find some new-to-me ideas in this title. It was a little to hard to start because there was so much alliteration in the first section; I was worried that would be the tone for the whole book. But, I appreciated the Q&A style and learned a few things I didn't know. This would probably be a great book for someone starting out with a cat and creating a safe and happy environment for them. For being a revised edition, complete with a "Modern Cat" section, it felt a little dated, maybe because of the writing style. Many of the different sections had valuable information, and in some cases I wish the author had expanded on the topics more.

The Cat Behavior Answer Book (2nd Edition) by Arden Moore is a comprehensive guide to everything cat! I expected the book to be a fun and easy read which it was, but it was also so detailed. I love all of the photos and there is a good resource section at the back of the book. I would recommend this to any cat owner!

As a new cat owner, this book gave me great insight into my cats and their behaviours, which I would often misinterpret. Thank you for a great and informative read.

The Cat Behavior Answer Book, 2nd Edition is well organized and contains useful information.
In addition, suitable for school-aged children who like to "browse" non-fiction.

As other reviewers have mentioned, I still have questions about my cats' behavior that remain unanswered. That said, this is an interesting, informative book. Most of the book is composed of questions people have asked about their cats with a stock photo of a similar cat/behavior and a few paragraphs of answer. There are also facts about cats sprinkled in. This will tell you the basics about topics like litter box problems, safely taking your cat outside on a harness, spraying, kneading, playing, etc. Those of us with more unusual cats may never know why they do some of their baffling behaviors, but it's pretty comprehensive.

This book was bright and fun and yet informative. Cats can be such a mystery and I love that each section was started with a question from a cat owner. The information included was really great for any cat owner or lover. The photos were also fun and the bright colors made this book a joy.

Firstly I want to start by thanking Netgalley, Arden Moore and Storey Publishing for giving me access to an ARC to review. As always my reviews are honest, fair and left voluntarily.

First it is confession time, I am a self-proclaimed cat lady. I grew up around cats, I had my first pet cat, although helped very much so by my mom, when I was around eight years old. I have had a cat in my life ever since. As such I love cat facts, books about cats, cat anything so when I saw there was an updated edition of this book coming out I was excited. I have to say I am not disappointed.

I will say some of the facts in this book may already be known by the avid cat fancier but as a reference book it is a perfect introduction for those delving into the wonderful world of cats. Even I found out some new facts I will be springing on anyone who gives me a chance to – proof that one you never stop learning and two this book is a brilliant reference to have. It is also perfect for new cat owners with hints, tips and explanations on how your cat may be behaving, why and what you can do to make your bond even stronger and your kitty even happier. I enjoyed the little anecdotes and writing style.

It's true that some information found within this book could be gleaned from other sources, cat magazines, online forums and websites but I still believe this book is a brilliant piece of reference plus it’s all in one place, easy to access and personally I like to have a few good books on subjects than having to search online or numerous other sources. Even for a seasoned cat lover or owner I think you will find something in this book, I know I did.

Covering a range of topics including grooming, playtime, relaxing, traveling and administering medication to your cat as well as much more there may be something there you didn’t think of before. Of course each cat is different just like each person is but there are definitely some great starting points in this book for everyone no matter your level of cat knowledge or experience with felines. It is clear Arden is passionate about cats and is an experienced cat owner and I for one am grateful they have chosen to share some of their knowledge with us.

The only thing I think was a bit odd were some of the pictures didn’t seem to line up to what was being discussed, well not all the time. But they were pictures of cats so I can’t really complain! This is definitely a book I would and will be recommending to new cat owners, cat lovers and even those who already have had cats for a long time. I am sure they will potentially find out something they didn’t know or give them a different view on their feline friends. I will definitely be getting a physical copy when it is released.

The Cat Behavior Answer Book is awesome. I didn't read the first addition, so I am not sure what is new in this version. BUT...the information in this book is priceless. I know a lot about cats and I still learned some interesting facts I did not know before.

I also LOVED all the color photos in this book. Great photography and such cute subjects. There is information in this book on everything from purring, to wellness checks, to grooming, to litter box habits. I don't think the author forgot to include anything.

I liked this book so much I am thinking of purchasing this as a gift for the cat lovers in my life.
