I love the format of this book questions and answers and it definitely helps learn more about the cat behaviour and so, you can understand it better and develop a closer relationship with your cat. This book it's a huge help for me.

This is an informative book on everything you could possibly want to know about cats.
Broken into easy sections. Friendly, chatty style of writing with colorful pictures. I was pleased to see my pet's breed mentioned. The Scottish Fold (totally recommend these cats too)

Adorable book full of cute cats living their best cat life. Would make a great gift for anyone with a cat or anyone about to get one. The book is fun with cute pictures it is actually full of really interesting and helpful information on our feline friends from how to cat proof your house to picking the perfect name and much more . I liked how there was wee feline fact boxes, I liked this as you could skim though the book just looking at pictures but still gain quick facts and info. This book is a great companion for any cat owned, I have tried the IQ test in my own little kitty not sure if he will reading this book himself anytime soon after that but we were overjoyed to see Ragdoll cats in top place for fabulous felines but of course we didn’t need this book to tell us that. All in this a purrrfect book which am sure you would read and refer back to many times and not just for the cute cat pictures.

If I was a novice cat mum then I think I would find this book very useful. As I’m not it wasn’t overly useful to me, but I did still enjoy reading through it and I thought the pictures were great.
I do think that any cat owner would get enjoyment from this book so it would be a good gift to give.

Quite good and cover a lot of ground. The photos may be the best part of the book, but it does include lots of potentially helpful info. May not help experienced cat owners much, but a good resource. Recommended.

Unfortunately this didn’t give answers to the questions I had. Others may find it useful but it didn’t help me.

This is overall a cute book that contains a lot of insightful information about cats. My main problem with it is that is is not very well organized and could have benefited from an outline. I did not care for the question and answer format or the way of using everything relates to her personal cats.

Fabulous getting answers to questions I was wondering…. Do cats dream? What's the purpose of a cat's whiskers? How do I catproof my house? Why does my elderly cat howl at night? How can I train my cats not to jump upon the kitchen counter? Can I keep my cat from climbing the curtains? What's the best way to train a kitten to use the litter box? How can I eliminate the smell of cat urine? What's the best way to trim a cat's nails? Is it okay for my cat to eat grass? Arden Moore provides insightful answers to all these questions and many more, along with reassuring guidance on addressing the problems that can get in the way of living happily with a cat. Recommend to all cat lovers 🐈

The Cat Behavior Answer Book: Understanding How Cats Think, Why They Do What They Do, and How to Strengthen Our Relationships with Them by Arden Moore has a new second edition slated for publication in late September 2022. The first edition was published in 2007.

Chapters detail information about cats including: cat communication styles, peculiar habits, litter box issues, diet and grooming, and how to enrich your indoor environment. The majority of the book is in a question & answer format, which the title notes. Both the questions and answers are easy to parse and explain things so even a young child might be able to understand them.

The book isn't only questions and answers, though. There are random feline facts sprinkled throughout the text, along with various lists (e.g. the most popular breeds of cats or how to pick a name for your cat). This book is a great resource to cat owners or individuals who are looking into becoming a cat owner.

This was a very thoroughly-made, informative guide to everything you could possibly want to know about cats - including cat care, breed information, health issues, training, and more. It was also split up into sections and included many colorful backgrounds and photos of cats and kittens. [I appreciate this, because the last thing I want to read is black and white textbook.]

Overall, this receives a solid shining 5-star review for me because all my expectations were met, I enjoyed reading through the information within, and I think it is very thorough in detail while being fun. A must-have book for the crazy cat lady [yours truly] or informed cat owner.

This book was fantastic and dare I say, a must have for all the cat parents out there and I wish I'd had it when I adopted my first kitty, so many questions answered in one book, its fantastic.

I loved the question and answer aspect that led to new chapters or sections within a chapter, its a great way to keep the reader interested. The pictures arr adorable and were nice break moments to process what had been read. Any book that gives me good advice and cute content is a win for me.

From counter jumping to bag chomping to not coming to say goodbye when I leave, over the years my fur babies have done it all, the explanations and reasoning behind these cat behaviors are well thought out and give insight into the feline world. I'm so glad that this book shed light on some of these behaviors and let me know all kitties have their quirks and we just have to protect them and keep them happy and healthy.

Mostly I will say that I loved this book because when I saw things I may have been doing wrong (talking about nail clipping here) this wasn't written in a way that made me feel like I'd scarred my kitty for life or that I was unworthy because I'd done it incorrectly.

Thank you Arden Moore for this brilliantly insightful look into the feline life and for providing information I know I'll be using in the future, like today, definitely starting a few small changes today, my cats thank you as well.

I intended to use this book for specific issues I noticed in my cats but when I started reading, I couldn’t stop. Instead, I read the book from cover to cover because it was both informative and entertaining. It is clear that the author truly adores her cats and has a great deal of knowledge to share. I would recommend this book to any cat owners or people thinking about getting a cat or kitten. The cute cat photos in the book was a bonus and helped to break up the text.

If I am basing this review on the contents I would say it is both informative and entertaining, however this just doesn't work as a digital format for me. I feel this would be 100% better in print. This would appeal to all cat lovers and would make a perfect gift - just not on a kindle!

We are huge cat lovers and are always wanting to learn more about them and what makes them tick. I love the whole format of this book. It feels like the author is having a conversation with us about our feline friends. There are questions from cat lovers and then the author uses personal experience and some knowledge to help them out. I feel like I already better understand my cats after reading this book, and am closer to them because of it!

What a fun and informative read! I really liked this book! The information was easy to understand and Arden Moore certainly seems to know what she's talking about. It is clear that a lot of research went into this. Every possible question I could think of regarding my cats was answered. Topics range from why cats exhibit certain behaviors to what things are unsafe for your cat. It was done in a question and answer format, which made it more relatable. I really learned a lot from this book. It was easy to read in small portions and I'd consider it a "coffee table read". I plan on purchasing this, as well as its companion, the Dog Behavior and Answer Book 2nd Edition.

I got this book to try to find answers to some of the puzzling things about my daughter's cat and I was not disappointed. I was very satisfied with the answer as to why some kitties are such a scaredy cats!

Not quite sure I like the question and answer format as I wonder how comprehensive they can be, but it would make a great gift book for a new cat owner . The photos are brightly coloured and gorgeous too!
