For women who want inspiration
Janice Thompson is the author of a variety of books (Christian romances, devotionals,...). In "Awake, My Soul. Devotional Inspiration for Women", published by Barbour Publishing, she presents devotional readings that consist of a Bible verse or passage combined with an inspirational thought. The readings are grouped under various topics such as "The Greatest Gift", "Love as He Loves", "Loving Your Family", "Responding to Your Coworkers in Love" or "Rejoicing in Love." Thompson states in the introduction: "Each of these 200 devotional readings will speak to your heart as you experience the unchanging and overflowing love of God Every inspiring word will draw you more closely to the Master Creator as you envelop your soul in the perpetual love found only in His Word" (p.5).
Readers do not have to read the book from beginning to finish but can pick one of the topics that interests them when they are looking for a devotional inspiration. I recommend the book for readers who need a new impulse for their devotional. The 200 devotional inspirations are enough since they can be used multiple times to discover the undeniable love of the heavenly Father.

The perfect book to add to my daily devotion collection. Thompson has a way of knowing what readers need to hear and articulating it well. Great book and will recommend this to friends.
