A lot going on in this one! Three friends from NYC end up in Nantucket starting a new journey in their lives. Lots of potential for these characters, but Willow seemed to be the one most developed, while others seemed like an afterthought.

I had high hopes for this one...but it fell short. It took me a long time to even get into the book and I had some issues with some of the editing mistakes. Overall 2/5.

Quick easy read about starting over on Nantucket. However too many characters, plot lines, and no one story was really fully developed. It would be better to focus on one or two characters and give them a whole book instead of bits and pieces of several characters. It flowed well but felt like I was missing pieces.

This book, The Nantucket Beachfront Inn, needs additional editing. Pronouns and even names tend to shift and there is no April 31, as is referred to in the book. Some elements of the plot seemed to be rather randomly thrown in and while they were forced into the story, questions remain. That being said, I liked most of the characters, though it was tough to relate to some of the problems they were having concerning their finances. At the end of the book, there is a note that it will become a series. I do hope there is more consistency in further episodes.

Ava unexpectedly inherits a inn on Nantucket. She decides to renovate it and open it up as a bred and breakfast. Why not? She’s been fired from her job as a attorney for being honest and has nothing else to do. It’s a big step for her but it feels right. As her family starts to help her with the Inn, the drama starts.
There are some heartwarming moments though the story drags a bit at times.
The amount of characters was a bit daunting. I’m thinking the author did this to go along with more books in this series.
I would like to read the next book in the series. Now that all the characters are pretty much known, it would be fun to see where the author takes the story. Especially interested in Ava’s romantic relationship with the much younger Deacon.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

This was a perfect snowed in read for the holidays. The Nantucket Beachfront Inn evolved from mishaps into an evolution of friends with lives that intermingled. No dragging here with the ending leaving me wanting more. Thank you NetGalley for this great read.

This book was cute. It was a fun, easy read. However, I read it a few weeks ago and when I went to write up my review I literally had to go back and reskim a little to remember what the book was. That is not a good sign.
It was a cute, beachy, no thought read. The good news is that it is the first in a series, so you should be able to get to know the characters better. It ends on somewhat of a few cliffhangers so you can just continue everyone's stories.
I LOVE the idea of friends doing a project like this together - it's my dream. I feel like this could have been so much more. And for friends that are willing to pick up and move their lives together somewhere else, they sure have a lot of secrets. I have some really good friends like this, and we just would not hold these secrets from each other. Or we would be able to tell there is something going on. We would have a night with too much wine and everyone would spill... (pun intended).
I just could not relate to this book. It was just ok.

The initial premise of this book sounded good. But, an attorney inherits a $7 million mansion and there's no talk of taxes? Ava quits her job as an attorney and remodels a house to make it into a B&B. There was no discussion of a business plan of any sort, which a supposed high power attorney would probably want to do. Or she would hire someone to run the business. I'm not sure I'm going to be in line to read the next book in the series.

Ava is an attorney in NYC. She and her 2 best friends are at their peak career-wise, but their life is unfulfilled. Ava has triplets who have grown up and are living on their own. She loves her NYC condo, but her job leaves her overworked, washed out and longing for something different. But, finances keep her where she is. Her previous husband cleaned out her savings on his way out.
She befriends an older man, a client of hers who leaves her a huge home in Nantucket in his will, much to her surprise.. It comes at a perfect time in her life. What better use for it than a beachfront inn in Nantucket? The story includes her friends, her children, her mother and others on Nantucket.
I am a sucker for any story set in Nantucket. There's something so enviable about that beachfront, carefree life. This story includes not only strong women, but relationships and struggles in life. The author did a great job in creating a positive environment for the characters. They were not whiners who blamed everyone else for their problems. They were self-driven and showed they were responsible for changing their own lives. And it's the first in a series of 7 books!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an opportunity to review this book.

I wanted to love this book-its an Inn on the beach in Nantucket-but the style of writing made it very difficult to read

"The Nantucket Beachfront Inn" by Ainsley Keaton
Sconset Beach Book One (of 8)
I did not know this was the beginning of a series until after I finished reading this offering. Also, I was under the impression that the story had already been published when offered as a 'Read Now' story. This was an okay story with a lot of characters. The writing was good, but I never did get attached to any of the characters. I consider it a borderline cliff-hanger as the story ends abruptly with the revelation of several new issues. Rather like real life where one crisis/issue gets resolved shortly before a new set of problems inundate your life. Happy Reading ! !
NOTE: This was a 'Read Now' offer by the publisher via NetGalley.
This review expresses my honest feelings and thoughts.

Lovely setting on Nantucket. Three women in their 50s who are long time friends, are all struggling with their lives in NYC. Ava inherits a beach house and the woman migrate there to start over. I love how they support each other. There are some quirky characters and some unexpected happenings.

Thank you #NetGalley for an ARC of #TheNantucketBeachfrontInn in exchange for my honest review.
This is the first book I have read by author #AinsleyKeaton.
The Nantucket Beachfront Inn is the first book in a 7 book series. I trust you will not be disappointed.
The main character, Ava is a powerful lawyer who finds herself out on the street. She soon inherits a large house in Nantucket and the story revolves around the house and the friends she makes there.

The women in the “Nantucket Beachfront Inn” all seem like very nice people in a friendly little town. They all have their problems but it seems as those will all be taken care of once you read all 7 books. I won’t be reading anymore of the series. It was just not a very well written story, the characters aren’t fleshed out and the ending was not satisfying at all.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.

This book is the authors debut novel. I’m going to round up; especially because this is a debut novel. Evidently this is the first in a series; I would read a subsequent novels by Ainsley Keaton.
The main character is let go from a very male attorney office; but subsequently inherits a mansion, as she had saved one of her clients a boatload of cash. I easily identified with this character, as we are similar in age.
One of the most interesting characters is a practicing “witch”; initially I wasn’t sure I was comfortable with that as a topic, but everything was well within my comfort zone and I think this is one of my favorite characters. I’m looking forward to seeing where the author takes the series.
Thank you to NetGalley, Ainsley Keaton the author and the publisher Debra Moore (possibly self published?) for the opportunity to read the advance read copy of Nantucket Beachfront Inn in exchange for an honest review.

This story was all over the map - unpredictable time switches, characters sort of zipped on and off the pages - and there were way too many characters and situations for a book this size. The premise was good. Ava inherits a beachfront property on Nantucket. Then the story gets strange. We are in February (maybe?) but then people are wearing bikinis on the beach and wading - in Nantucket in winter? Can't see that happening. The remodel starts immediately, the industrial kitchen is installed immediately - these things don't happen in real life.
I will not be reading the remainder of the seven-book series. A whole lot more editing and proof reading is necessary for this to be a plausible story.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing this ARC.
As the story opens a group of women are each in the midst of their own personal tragedies- from Illness, to divorce, to downright despair. When the main character Ava inherits a house on Nantucket, it comes with restrictions - she must remain in residence for five years and she is unable to rent it out. With that in mind, she creates a The Nantucket Beachfront Inn, an upscale Inn!
These three main characters share their woes and spend time in the sun while trying to figure things out. Not much actually gets solved. And it now appears there will be six or seven more to this series.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing this ARC.
This is a lovely book about a group of women in the midst of their own personal tragedies. Illness, divorce, and just sheer unhappiness. Ava, the focus of the book, inherits a beautiful house in Nantucket, however, it comes with strings attached. She can't rent it out, and she must live there for 5 years. She decides to turn it into an upscale B&B.
Following the typical beach trope with a bunch of girlfriends out to conquer their problems it left me wanting more, but not in a good way. I kept thinking it was a great start but characters were glossed over and I wanted more details. Finally on the last page, it stated this was book 1 of at least 7 books. Now it makes sense. 3/5 stars for this book.

Drastic life changes and starting over are instore for Ava as she loses her job as an attorney in the city and inherits a beach front property. Her friends and even her adult children are making changes. The author writes of loss, heartache, love, finding oneself and happiness. The surprise is a little magic of the good kind. But the story doesn't end at the end and I'm looking forward to read the next book in this series.

I liked the story overall, but it seemed choppy. The passage of time bothered me. I liked the characters, but they didn't seem fully developed. Ava and Hallie had so many things happening to them, but they stayed strong and just powered through. I would have liked to see more romance between Ava and Deacon. But, as I said, I liked the story.
