Pleasant, yet predictable beach read. This is the first in a series, and there are a lot of characters to keep up with. Overall it was an enjoyable enough read!
Thank you to the publisher, Ainsley Keaton, and Netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

3.5/5 rounded up to 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
To me, this was a very predictable book. This was a book that was an easy read, but it was also a feel good book that you knew would end happily. It’s a book about friendships, families, and potential losses. I am excited to see about the next books in the series to see how exactly the storyline progresses. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

This is a great book of heartbreak, love and redemption. Ava is lost when she loses her job and knows she can't afford her current lifestyle. Her best friends don't understand how she doesn't have a nest egg to rely on to get her through. Heartbreak and stolen funds plague her. When, she begins to run low on money, she finds out that a past client actually left her a home in his will. The home comes with rules she must follow to keep the home, so she packs up and heads out to Nantucket to figure out how to move forward. She brings her son and two best friends to help her see it through, and also as backup, as she's a little afraid of her daughter who lives near.
These friends and two of Ava's children have a lot of hardships to get through, some hidden and some are outward, but they are all important to the individual and must work together to get through the hard times. This is a wonderful book about redemption and having the will to move on, survive, and thrive.

I have mixed feelings about the book. It's the first book in a seven book series - introducing the reader to the characters who will each have their stories told in the subsequent books. I felt there were too many sub-plots and the ending was not what I expected. I would have to read the next book in the series to see if any of my questions are answered, but I am on the fence as to whether or not I will.
Thanks to NetGalley for a copy.

This was a predictable chick flick for me. I didn’t care for a lot of it, especially the withcraft.
Thanks NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the advanced copy.

I love a good beach read especially if i'm reading it at the beach. Even though i wasn't at the beach reading this i thorough enjoyed this book. This looks like it's going to be part of a series--obviously this being the first one. I loved all the characters and their stories. Through hardship, trials, tribulations, and triumphs! A good read for the beach or to remind you of the beach during the winter! Thank you netgalley and the publisher for an e-arc in exchange for a review.

Ava's 53 and her life isn't going well. She's the widowed mother of triplets and her second husband has hit the road (along with a lot of her savings). And then there's the matter of her job. She hates it, but needs the high salary to support her NYC lifestyle.
Ava manages to get herself fired, and is not having much luck finding a new position. When, suddenly, she learns that a fairy godfather/former client has left her a $7 million house on Sconset Beach in Nantucket, with some conditions attached.
It's nice to read a book about a successful single "older" woman and I actually liked the beginning of the book about her work and NYC life. There were so many gaps/disconnects for me in the rest of the book, however: Ava's relationships with all of her family seems seriously dysfunctional but we don't really learn why; it's based in Nantucket but I never got that Nantucket "feel"; and how does she go from being a lawyer (and never owning an actual house) to wanting to run an exclusive B&B?
This is the first of a series of seven books (that all seem to be coming out in 2022) so maybe some of the gaps will be addressed.
Thanks to Netgalley and Sunrise Books for the opportunity to read The Nantucket Beachfront Inn in exchange for an honest review.

Ainsley Keaton is a new-to-me author and I'm glad I downloaded this book. It was interesting, the characters were well-rounded and kept me involved in their stories, and left me wanting to know more.
I enjoyed the second chance aspect of this book and especially enjoyed the setting.
I do feel like the book ended on somewhat of a cliff-hanger, which I tend not to appreciate. Because of that I gave this book 4 stars, but I'll be checking out book two in this series.
Definitely recommend. Thanks to netgalley, the author, and publisher for an ARC at my request. All thoughts are my own.

I was expecting a much different book. I was expecting to read about three adult friends and how they became closer sfter they moved. What I got was a book about three adult friends that had teenage problems when they moved. With that said, There were parts of the book that I loved but there were other that seemed petty. THere was also way to much going on with each of them.
I would read anther book by this author just with different expectations.

This was a pretty good book. Most of the characters are relatable. I will say there were many situations all jammed into this book. I'm not sure if the author was setting up for branching out into future books - which wouldn't be a bad thing.

I want to thank Sunrise Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review The Nantucket Beachfront Inn by Ainsley Keaton.
Ava’s husband is killed when she is eight months pregnant with triplets. Her second husband empties out her bank account and takes off. She speaks up at her job and is fired. Quite a beginning!
Turns out a former client and friend leaves her a large home in Nantucket with stipulations! She’ll need her family, old friends, new friends and maybe even a “witch” to help her succeed and find a way to turn this property into a successful B&B.
The author discribes her characters so well.
There are enough unanswered questions to fill the following six books in the Sconset Beach Book series. Looking forward to continuing the saga!
You are quickly drawn in. The book published November 2021.

I really liked the story. A heart warming story of 3 friends, changes in their lives and starting over on different levels and circumstances. New chances at loves.
Now…my only dislike is that they are suppose to be 3 best friends, yet, they each have kept something pretty significant from each. I’m no expert in friendships and I’m not one to easily ask for help or divulge all the dirty details, but I don’t know. That all just didn’t sit right with me.
I would still recommend this book to others though, because I did thoroughly enjoy it.

I received a free copy of this book. A heartwarming story about 3 good friends. Each has their secrets, but they support each other no matter what. Lots of unexpected turns in this tale kept it very interesting. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

This book was not for me. Normally I love books about seaside inns but this one was filled with unlikeable characters and unhappy situations. The story lost me when the witch appeared with her spells. I didn't like it and could not finish it.

THE NANTUCKET BEACHFRONT INN is the first book in the SCONSET BEACH series, and I’m looking forward to reading more. There are a multitude of characters with Ava at the story’s core, but her best friends Hallie and Quinn are with her every step of the way.
The story starts in New York City where Ava, Hallie, and Quinn are discontented with their lives. When Ava leaves her job at a prestigious law firm, she’s not sure what she’ll do next. When she finds out she inherited a house on the beach in Nantucket from a former client, she decides to make it her home and turn it into a Bed and Breakfast. Once she arrives on the island with her friends, her dreams start to come true with a lot of hard work. Secrets are revealed, hopes are lifted, and magic seems to be in the air. Romance, tragedy, and the real world intrude on the characters, causing both conflict and resolution.
There is a good flow to the story; it’s a quick paced read. The chapters are told by various characters as noted by the titles, but most are from Ava’s point of view. I’m happy to hear there will be more books in the series. I can’t wait to return to Sconset Beach and find out what everyone has been up to. I love the cover!
Ms. Keaton is a new-to-me author and I look forward to reading more of her books and not just those in this series.

I truly enjoyed this book. There was a lot of story lines happening throughout the book, so I was very excited to see it is only Book 1 of the series. I am excited to read the direction that each characters lives go in.

Three college friends have been there for each other through good times and bad. Ava has been fired and her friends showed up. Little did she know, she was going to inherit a house on Nantuckett island. The author does a great job of creating the island and bringing all the characters to life. You become fully vested in them. Her friends Quinn and Hallie change their lives and decide to settle on the island. With the three of them will come family and all that it entails. I am looking forward to the next book.

I wanted to like this book about Ava, a 53 yr old attorney, who is so burned out she finally tells a client what she really thinks of him, but I can’t say that I did. The characters were all over the place and their stories were not very well developed. A lot of the description could have been omitted and the author could have worked on her characters a bit more. The end of the story was a disappointment too. In the last chapter there were several new developments brought into the story. I guess it opened the door for the next book in the series, but a poor way to end the book. If you want a beach read that you don’t have give any thought to then this book is for you. I won’t be reading any of the other books in the series.

Great beach read and perfect for a snow day! I couldn't put this book down! I'm excited to see what the series does and where it goes! I loved all the characters and their stories. Through hardship, trials, tribulations, and triumphs! It only took me 9 days to read this! I've never read anything by this author before and am very pleased with what I got!

The Nantucket Beachfront Inn by Ainsley Keaton
Dear Fellow Reader,
It is only mid-January, and I am ready for winter to LEAVE. I am just over it. There is something about the cold and the dark days that are bothering me this year. Okay, let’s be honest, it bothers me almost every year. I suppose with Covid, it is just worse. I want to be back in the yard. Back digging up the garden.
But there is something to be said for burrowing under a blanket and reading. The whole world spins without me and I am lost in a book. This brings me to tell you about the book I read over the weekend. It is a book that was given to me in exchange for an unbiased review.
The Nantucket Beachfront Inn is an easy quick read. The story moves along well and the characters are engaging. Are you waiting for a “BUT”? Yes, there are one or two. Overall, though, it was quick and fine. There were plenty of characters to keep you busy.
The story introduces us to Ava Flynn. As the story opens, Ava has had it with her job. She is a successful attorney with a firm that defends million and billionaire tax cheats. She has been in this position for 23 years and has done well. Unfortunately, her last husband cleaned out their accounts on his way out of town and hasn’t been seen for a while. Her first husband died in a car crash when she was 8 months pregnant with triplets. She works endless hours and has a large mortgage on a condo in New York City. She sleeps in her office most of the time. But on the night the book opens, she has just had it. She tells the demanding billionaire in front of her what she thinks of his efforts to avoid paying taxes. That is the end of her job. While she tries to find a new position, the combination of her age and her high salary are not leading to any offers.
She then receives a call from an attorney asking her to come to his office because she has received an inheritance. The inheritance comes with some strings that she will have to work her way through with her two close girlfriends and her children.
As far as the plot goes, it is good. Here are my problems with this book. First off, the author did a lot of research for things that happen in the book and goes into WAY too much detail. (One of the characters suddenly develops bacterial meningitis and the medical description goes way beyond what the audience needs. Also, there are at least two places where the same explanation is given twice within a few pages. And I think that at one spot one of the characters is referred to by the wrong name.
BUT probably my biggest complaint is the end. It is like she was only allowed so many words and so she must throw three huge curveballs in the last three pages. I was reading an eBook version of the book and I could not believe the story was over. It seems there are more books to come in the series and she had to get you set up to want to read the next books. It was just irritating.
Am I sorry I read it? No. I think if you know going into it that there may be some redundancy and a few little things that should have been cleaned up in editing, you will be fine. It is a beach read. There is nothing here to change your life. It will give you some enjoyable reading time.
Thanks for reading!
