What an enjoyable book! Friends Ava, Quinn, and Hallie are all hardworking women in New York City. Ava is an attorney helping rich clients avoid taxes. Quinn is an interior designer and Hallie has a PR firm. Ava is fired from her job. At the age of 54, her salary is too high for most firms. She doesn’t want to work the 70-80 hours she did at the beginning of her career. How can she provide for herself? Quinn has breast cancer. She doesn’t want to burden her friends so she is facing treatment alone. Can her friends help? Hallie is unhappy living in the City. She hates the hustle and bustle but knows she would hate leaving her friends.

A very appreciative client leave a beach house on Nantucket to Ava. He has very explicit rules she must follow. After visiting the house, Ava wants to remodel it into a beachfront inn. She decides to leave the city and asks her friends to come. Can Ava make a go of this idea? Her estranged daughter lives in the area, can they reconcile? Will her friends relocate with her?

Ainsley Keaton has warm and interesting characters throughout this book. The situations are realistic and she deftly provides enough detail in every situation without going overboard. As the story unfolds you find yourself becoming more invested in these characters lives. I am happy to see that this appears to be the first in a series. I will certainly enjoy following these characters into new adventures.

Too many story lines, many not explored at all. The story jumped from one idea to another with no follow through on most.

I received my copy from the publisher through NetGalley & it is the first book I have read from Ainsley Keaton. It is centered around Ava, a NYC attorney in a high priced law firm. She inherits a house on Nantucket from a client, after losing her job, and not knowing what she is going to do next. Ava and her two best friends, decide to move to Nantucket, and turn the house into a bed and breakfast. Ava's son Jackson comes from California to help her get the B&B off the ground. Her daughter,Charlotte, whom she is estranged from, moves in, as she is having issues with her husband. Ms. Keaton introduces us to all of the characters and the story line makes it an easy first read in this new series. It is a great stand alone, but I cannot wait for the rest of the books to be published.

I really enjoyed this tale of friendship, love, trust, and belief. The beginning was a bit slow but once I got in to it, I couldn’t put it down. I am so excited that this is the first book in a series. I can’t wait for the next one.

I liked the book, but I found myself getting whiplash from the back & forth of various character's stories. I had to put it down a couple of times to get things straight before continuing...I would read the next one in the series, but I would have preferred to learn a little less about some of the supporting characters and more about the main characters in this first book.

Again - I liked the book, liked the story and will read the next ones.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in return for my honest opinion.

I live the book about women my age. I lived seeing the struggles they face, however the time switches and character switches between chapters was very difficult to follow. I had to keep going back to see if I missed something and it took me 10 or more pages in to figure it what was happening. There's were many events and characters I just couldn't follow. Really needs some good editing to tie together the disconnects.

I think it could be an excellent series with some work. Some additions to connect plots and some cutting here and there

The first in a proposed 7 book saga, The Nantucket Beachfront Inn introduces us to Ava, her children, and her friends. When we meet Ava, she is a corporate lawyer saddled in debt from her ex-husband. She is tired of getting white collared criminals out of their crimes and tells a client where to go. She is left a beach house in Nantucket with a ton of stipulations. She finds she needs the financial help of her mother and the emotional support of her friends to make this place a go.

A great summer read. If you are a fan of Elin Hilderbrand, you will love this story set on the island of Nantucket.

I thank you for the opportunity to read this book. I very much enjoyed it and will be recommending it to my friends and family. This book deals with strong friendship between three women who are always there for each other, in good times as well as bad. Although they each have strong personalities, they blend beautifully and are supportive without smothering. Ainsley Keaton knows how to twist and turn as she weaves her story and keeps you wanting to turn to the next page, and next chapter. I can’t wait to read book 2 in this series.

I do not read that many feel-good beach reads and I was excited to start this book which did start out very promising. I felt it had a few too many characters for what I like and the story lines got a little carried away at times. To be honest, I was disappointed.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

I liked the many characters in this book, who are all important to the story. Friends with secrets, estrangements between Mother and Daughter and Daughter and Husband, romance with a younger man, all equal a successful Plan B for Ava.

This is a fairly decent book. Ava is the main character. Her life is falling apart. She’s a lawyer in a high-priced firm and she about fed up with the clients that are wealthy , entitled men. The story moves along at just the right speed for my liking. There’s friendship, love, intrigue. There are quite a few characters but they each play an important part in the story. The reason for four stars is one of the characters practices witchcraft and that is not my thing. I was worried that the story would wander too far along that path but it did not. I will read another book from this author and probably another book in this series. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an advance copy for my honest review.

This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from them in the future. This is a well written story that has characters that pop off the pages. They bring the story to life and kept the story engaging. This is a fast paced story an attorney who finds herself out of a job and in search of plan B. This is a romance story that I found hard to put down. I enjoyed the chemistry as well as the growth of the characters throughout the story. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.

Ava, Hallie, and Quinn, three 50-something professional women, leave the city behind to restart their lives in Nantucket. This book gets off to an exciting start, and the reader is engaged with the characters and their respective needs for change. This book has potential but loses its way about halfway in. More specific suggestions and comments will be shared directly with the publisher.

Ava is a high powered attorney who quits her job because she's tired of defending jerks who blatantly disobey the law.

Ava is also in financial constraints due to her ex husband cleaning her dry with his gambling problem and debts.

She's then gifted a beach house by one of her previous clients, whom she really adored but there are several conditions.

She moves to Nantucket, decides to open a BnB, hopes to get back in good graces with her daughter and determined to make something of this gift

Charlotte, her daughter, is separating from her husband, shows up on her moms doorstep with their baby, and begins repairing their relationship, all while Ava throws Daniel and Charlotte together, forcing them to reconcile.

Callie, Ava's bff, has something she's not telling - because she doesn't want to ruin good news and she thinks she can handle it all by herself.

All their lives intertwine and make one great story .

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early look at this book.

I really, really wanted to like this book and it started out very promising. However, as I kept reading, it just become ridiculous. I almost stopped reading a number of times but I kept going hoping it would get better, but it didn't. There were so many characters, so many under-developed story lines, and some just crazy story-lines (example: inexperienced writer getting a job as a ghost-writer for an established novelist after a quick interview and a recommendation from the witch she just met earlier in the day). This book had so much potential; the writer clearly knows how to write but needs more editing for less repetition and more character development. I understand this is the beginning of a seven book series, but perhaps it would have been better not to introduce all the characters in this book as there was just too much going on for me.

This book falls in the category of you can't put it down. I was so happy to learn that it's part of a planned 7 book series. Ava is a powerful lawyer who finally speaks the truth to a client, and finds herself out on the street. Yet she inherits a large house in Nantucket, and the rest of the book revolves around the house and the cast of friends and family and their lives. A delightful read that will leave you wanting for more.

I needed a bit of a pallet cleanser after so many psychological thrillers. This book did just that. I love all of the characters and the setting. It had such a range of emotions. Though it was nothing like Gilmore girls I still get that feeling while reading it. The relationships with mother daughter, the small town feel, the building of an Inn.

My only complaint is that at times it was quite repetitive.

I think I’ll continue with the series as they come out. 8 total is what I’ve seen.

Ava is a big shot attorney but her company decides to let her go. Luckily, she inherits a large house on Nantucket from a wealthy friend who recently passed away. She invites her 2 best friends and they decide to remodel the large house into a bed & breakfast. Being that the 3 main characters were in their 50’s, I enjoyed that part of it. I thought the book was just ok. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my review.

After 23 years as a lawyer helping big hot shot males get out of paying taxes Ava had it. After letting one of her clients know how she felt she was then out of a job. It then she was left a gift of a house on the beach from a former client. Now after convincing her two best friends to join her she headed for big changes. The lives of her family and friends play out through this book and makes for an enjoyable read and leaves you wondering what’s going to happen next on the beach.

There is so much to unpack in The Nantucket Beachfront Inn by Ainsley Keaton that it's overwhelming. I was thinking fun beach read but there are so many serious storylines, each one more farfetched than the next. Witchcraft cleansing of the chakras which make a breast cancer patient undergoing chemo suddenly feel wonderful was the most unrealistic. But so were many others, the unsupportive mother suddenly giving her daughter a ton of cash to open a beachfront B&B? An NYU grad/stay at home mother getting a job ghostwriting for a famous artist because a self-proclaimed witch asked him to? A father leaving his wife and daughter so he could live the single life that his wife cheated him out of by having a baby, AFTER they were married, as if he had no involvement in her conception, then suddenly loves her when she gets sick? It was just.too.much.

I can't imagine reading seven of these novels, what more can the author put these poor characters through? I might read it just to see! Kind of like passing an accident on a highway and you can't NOT look! Thank you to the author, Debra Moore Publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.
