This is a beautiful 5 minute daily Bible Study. Each day has scripture, questions to help you dig deeper, a brief devotional and a prayer. It is easy to understand and gives readers food for thought. I will definitely keep it on my shelf to read again. It would make a nice gift. I rate it 5 stars. I received a copy from NetGalley, and these are my own opinions.

There are some days when I don’t know where the time has gone. On those days I usually find myself feeling tired and frustrated because I didn’t have the time to sit and be still and take care of my spiritual needs. And I can bet there are many women out there in similar situations, for as women, we wear many hats. We are workers, mothers, wives and caretakers, just to name a few. And speaking for myself, I found I can survive on little sleep and fast food while working on a list of countless tasks, but what I can’t do is starve myself spiritually. That never ends well!
So when perusing NetGalley’s spiritual books for review, my eyes lit on The Daily 5-Minute Bible Study for Women compiled by Barbour Staff and I jumped at the chance to read it and I was not disappointed.

When I first read the description I thought, “I can do 5 minutes”, but I also thought, “no way can anyone dive deep enough in that little time”. Wrong! This gem of a book has a reading for everyday of the year from various chapters of the bible, both New and Old Testament. For each day, this book gives you a couple of sentences from scripture, a Key Verse, as well as a fuller chapter and verse for those who want to open the bible and dig deeper. It then asks several questions for you to ponder to help you Understand the verse and then how to Apply this verse to your life. Then each day ends with a Pray section to help you live what you just read. It really is a unique way for busy women to get spiritually fed everyday.

Personally I found when reading and pondering this book, I would read the longer verses and open the bible more often because I was enjoying it so much and willing to find more time to delve into it. I also found myself pondering the questions, not only in those 5 minutes of time, but also throughout the day. I can honestly say this book is one that will become part of my daily life. So, if you are someone who is frustrated by a lack of hours in the day to spend time in the Word, I would highly recommend giving this book a try.

I want to thank NetGalley and Barbour Publishing for an ARC of The Daily 5-minute Bible Study for Women. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This daily Bible study guide has a great format that is the same throughout the book.

First, that are Scriptures to read. Only one verse is pointed out, but you can read the verses nearby to provide context to what is being discussed.
Next, there is a section called Understand. There are typically 2-4 questions to ponder that you can quickly answer, but I found myself thinking back to the later on too.
Then, there is a section called Apply. Here is where you have an action to do after reading and thinking about the topic for that day. I found them to be a check-up in considering what I am doing. Can I learn from what I read? Am I doing alright in this area or is there something I need to change?
Last, you are given called to Pray. I found this to be helpful because sometimes you just don't know what to say. Of course, you can pray however you wish, but this can be helpful too.

I liked this book and the way it was laid out. It truly will not take any longer than 5 minutes to complete, but I think some of the topics will have you stop and consider throughout the day. It's great if you have just a bit of free time and not a lot of time to devote to a Bible study.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
