I loved the first book in this duo so so much. But unfortunately this sequel fell a bit flat for me. I enjoyed the last few chapters a lot, and I’m very happy with who she ended up with. But the journey to get to those good parts was lack luster. The narrator was good; very expressive with their voice and had distinctive changes for different characters.

Brie was plunged into the face realm and is now the key to saving it again. She works with various friends and foes to try to take down the Queen for good and save the Unseelie that are being abused. Will she be able to put her personal feeling and goals aside for the sake of the suffering children?
I LOVED this book! The first one was a amazing and this one was as well. Brie is torn between the two fae princes (I however was not torn at all) as she tries to save the world again. it was a swoon read and full of adventure and even had some twists.
Recommend to any fantasy and fae lovers.

What a brilliant conclusion to this duology. I didn’t want to put it down and binged this in a day. “Pick a star, make a wish” Loved it

This sequel was everything I needed and more! After reading The Hollow Vows, I needed this book in my hands! The way that Lexi Ryan wraps up this epic story and Brie's story was perfection!
I can't wait to read more of Lexi Ryan one day!

After the painfully thrilling cliffhanger of the first book in this series, I immediately pre-ordered the sequel. I haven't been this invested in a love triangle since I read the ACOTAR series! The romance is a delicious, swoonworthy slow burn that never misses. I got so invested in this book that I forgot I was even reading mere pages of a physical book; I felt like I was right alongside the characters for their adventure!

This conclusion had me guessing until the very end. I knew how I had HOPED the book would end but with each plot twist I was so nervous! I loved seeing her grow into her power and become someone who could accept herself for who she is without needing the support of a man to do it. So many new I retesting characters and I just loved this duology!

Lexi Ryan is a masterful storyteller. I was completely swept away in the adventure our heroine takes. This romantic fantasy is perfect for adults and teens alike. Five stars.

As the final installment in this duology, I thought These Twisted Bonds was going to be better than it turned out to be. The series started strong, but left me on the fence. The plot drifted aimlessly at times, but I was satisfied with the conclusion. The characters lacked agency and were prisoners to the story, sometimes lacking depth. I struggled to empathize, relate to, or care about what happened to them. The story didn't draw me in, and I got bored and had to force myself to keep reading.

After being enticed by the introduction of These Hollow Vows, I quickly snagged up These Twisted Bonds. Sadly, I should have waited until I had a least finished the first installment because the ending left things in such a way that was very obviously going to result in massive disappointment for me. Both of her supposed suitors end up being terrible human beings and we're meant to sit patiently and watch as the author attempts to make both redeemable. I just wasn't having it unfortunately.

I liked this book even better than the first as there were a few more adventures to be had and the chemistry between Brie and Finn was just a delight. I really appreciate that this was wrapped up in two books as I feel a third book the story would have become too similar to all the rest. And yay for an appearance from Queen Mab!! I will definitely keep checking out Lexi's new releases after this series.

I enjoyed this book. The main characters are interesting and I really like the different kingdoms. It was a pretty standard YA fantasy novel but I had fun reading it!

Picking up right where These Hollow Vows left us hanging and much like that book, These Twisted Bonds is full of even more angst, drama, betrayal, romance, and politics. While I appreciated the pacing and the satisfying ending storyline wise (for me personally, anyways 😊), I would have liked the ending to have had a little bit more time to breathe and really settle. Still a great duology that I would absolutely recommend to fantasy lovers and readers alike!

***Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.***

What a duology conclusion. I enjoyed the deep dive into the different kingdoms and their origins, I never thought I'd love this book as much as I did, the stakes were high and the plot was twisty. I look forward to see what's next for Lexi Ryan. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book!

This was a really great book. The only complaint I have is there is so much story left untold that this could have easily been a trilogy.
Thank you so much to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for allowing me an arc for my honest review.

Brie is trying to get Sebastian and Finn to form an alliance to stop the queen who wants to imprison and enslave Unseelie Fae. The queen is Sebastian’s mother and he has gone behind her back to free as many as he can. Brie doesn’t trust anyone and doesn’t believe that she belongs in the Fae or in the mortal realm. She tries to learn to trust those around her and when she discovers her lineage, she finds her place. She has to complete a task to save herself and everyone in the Fae realm. Brie and Finn learn they’re tethered, meaning they draw power from each other and give each other strength. The long sleep, where children sleep and never wake up, is affecting the Unseelie children because their kingdom is dying. Finn is willing to sacrifice everything for his kingdom and Brie is willing to do the same. If the two of them can get Sebastian to help then they just might save everything. Romance, adventure and fantasy all wrapped up in one, 5 stars!
Mature content: sex but vaguely detailed, naked aroused breasts
Violence: blood and guts
Swearing: 15 swears and two f-bombs
Ethnicity: mortal mix and Fae

I think this was a great way to wrap up this duology and this story had some things I didn't see coming! I was satisfied with the ending and these books filled a whole in my heart that was missing a good fantasy novel.
Thank you #Netgalley for providing me with an early read of #TheseTwistedBonds

A satisfactory ending. I do feel like the ending was a bit rushed, and I wish that a few things were more flushed out. I liked.

The story picks up right after the ending of These Hollow Vows and Abriella has left the Seelie court with her new fae abilities. She must come to terms with this power she didn’t want. In a land she didn’t want to live in. And bonded with a partner who time and time again betrays her. While freeing an enslaved camp of Unseelie children, Brie runs into Misha, the king of the wild fae and with his help learns she has a bigger role to play in the decades old war.
The subtle nods to ACOTAR are easy to pick up on. But Lexi Ryan takes what we love and makes it her own. The plot is different and follows the side story of how the once untrustworthy character can redeem themself.
It’s a bit frustrating reading the age old story of 2 men pining for the same girl who just wants to be a strong independent women. And then throwing Misha in the mix almost adds another (though he never outright pursues her other characters mention he wouldn’t be opposed). It’s a bit much that everyone needs to get with the chosen one and could have been written out.
The plot is predictable and even the surprise ending was not a surprise. It didn’t throw me for a loop. But it did feel like the final puzzle pieces being placed to complete the puzzle. The ending felt like it was the ending meant all along and I feel whole having read it.
Definitely will recommend this duology to fans of ACOTAR looking for a lighter YA read. Or to people looking for a quick fantasy series.

This was a beautifully written conclusion, I wish the story had not ended! Ryan does a great job creating and crafting a world that sucks you inside. I also enjoyed the characterization development. Wonderful book!
