Wow what a book DI Bernie Noel is back on the hunt for criminals.A young woman has been attacked and left for dead could this be linked to other attacks on women well Bernie and her team will soon find out as they delve into the case.Bernie'emotions as well as her hormones are all over the place but she must focus on the case but she is worried.I don't want to say anymore as it could spoil the book for others but this an Excellent story and i have loved every second of reading it.BRILLIANT 5*

This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. It was a police procedural about a team looking for a serial rapist. There were issues with her , the lead detective, the enjoyable Benji, and her partner dealing with corrupt and how prior cases tied in. A solid story and one I would read others in the series.

A particularly complex case for Bernie and the team in this 3rd in instalment of a well written series.
This book just goes to show that you should never jump to conclusions and you can never be sure what another person is truly thinking

A new author for me and I will definitely be searching out the rest of this authors work. An easy read and flows so well. I was engrossed in the story and I love the main characters. Plenty of twists and turns and much more tension and suspense which had me sat on the edge of my seat. A well deserved four stars.

A Detective Bernadette Noel Series
Left For Dead Book Three
By Joy Kluver
I somehow missed Last Seen book one but read Broken Girls book two!
And have fallen so deep in this series.

I love Detective Noel. She is a great character and even better Detective.
Her determination and love is amazing and shows deep within the pages.
From the first page it grabs your attention and holds its right to the end.
With its excellent plot and comfortable pacing, I had difficulty putting this book down.
Left for Dead was such a compelling read, and I relished every moment.
Detective Bernadette Noel is really well-drawn and a determined, passionate DI.
And I hope to see more of these series coming! Because I'm loving them.

Thank You Bookouture for this eARC.
I will post to my platforms closer to pub date!

The first time Detective Bernadette Noel sees Keira Howard, she is lying in a hospital bed fighting for her life. The police assume that she has become the latest victim in a series of brutal attacks, and after weeks of fruitless searching, they think the evidence found in Keira’s case will finally lead them to their man. This is a rapid-paced, compelling story with masterful execution. The constant action means there is never a dull moment

“Left for Dead” by Joy Kluver is the third in a series about Detective Bernadette (Bernie) Noel. This book does reference some things from the previous books, but if you, like me, haven’t read the other books this book does a decent job of being a stand-alone with most of the backstory being briefly filled in. At first glance, this book seemed to be a pretty standard one for a fictional police department, but as the case unfolds it becomes clear that there are some interesting ties between some ongoing cases. I felt the overall cast (mainly Bernie’s co-workers) worked well as an ensemble and I liked the focus on an autistic co-worker. A solid 3.75 stars for me, rounded up to 4 stars. I would read another book in this series, so that’s a pleasant surprise.

Bernie is back with another case. A string of sexual assaults have been happening for a few months, but when one victim is left for dead, the pressure increases to get the case solved. I like Bernie as a character. She’s tough and fair. I also like the team dynamics of this series. They all work well together and everyone has a voice. The mystery in this was quite complex as the story moved along and I had no idea where the plot would land. So definitely some surprises! Of course, Bernie also has some personal issues going on, nothing bad, but life will be changing for her in the next book. I look forward to continuing with this series.

It looks like Detective Bernie Noel has caught a break; a woman recovering from a brutal attack appears to have information that will lead the police to the man wanted for a series of savage attacks. Her colleagues are sure this is the break they’ve been looking for, but Bernie isn’t so sure. On the surface the attacks seem related, but the deeper Bernie digs, the more certain she is that this latest attack was a one off, and that now she’s looking at not one, but two violent criminals
