So there was a lot that I really liked about this story. I really enjoyed Sloane as a character, and found her relationships to be complicated, unique and of course a little spicy... maybe a lot spicy lol. I do however wish that there was a bit more in terms of character introductions. I feel like especially in the beginning I was trying to get my brain to really play catch up not only with the world building but also with the character introductions. With that being said I finished the story in one sitting and found it to be wildly entertaining.

I loved this book. This is such a fun, sexy, romp of a book.

Characters:

Sloane is such a great main character. I love how dominant and forward she is. It is very rare to see our main character be the alpha in relationships.

I also enjoyed the other perspectives thag we got within the story. It was great seeing all the other perspectives within this story. In this perspectives we learn a lot about them which I enjoyed.

Atmosphere:

Although this is a fun romp of a novel it does have quite a dark and tense atmosphere. There is a lot of darkness, violence and gore so be forewarned this is quite a dark novel.

Writing;

The writing was pretty good within this novel although I did find there were some.sentences that were very repetitive throughout the novel.

I am very excited to see how this writing will improve throughout this seven book series.

Plot:

This is very much a set up novel. This is a book where we meet all the places within the over arching plot. Although this was more about the characters I am so excited to see what happens next.

Intrigue;

This is a really intriguing novel. Right from the beginning I needed to know what was happening and couldn't stop reading until I knew.

There is a lot of mystery to this novel but I was also very intrigued about how this poly relationship would work because this is the first one I've read about.

Logic;

Everything was pretty straight forward in this novel. Although I did find https://runawayirishgirl.wordpress.com/2022/03/11/druid-dreams-book-review/myself a little bit confused because it felt like we were dropped into a story/world that we already knew and that wasn't the case. We could have had more descriptions and background while going through this story

Enjoyment:

I loved this story and can't wait to continue this series!

I went into this with low expectations. I'm not usually a big fan of multiple mates because there are two many personalities to do justice to. This book was a breath of fresh air to a certain extent. The author gave each character their own perspective allowing the reader to get to know all the male characters along with our heroine.

I'm interested to read the whole story as this book is just the beginning and the author hints at great things yet to come.

I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received a free copy of this book from the author.

This is a Reverse Harem Urban Fantasy. There's a lot of players in this story so you will have to pay attention and get to know the characters. Druid Dreams is the first in The Chronicles of Sloane King series as well.

I throughly enjoyed this book. I laughed quite a bit with these characters. The vampire and the demon were quite often the funniest to me. There's something strange going on in the supernatural community. It's up to Sloane and her mates to put a stop to it all.

Though in doing so brings all kinds of trouble and you never know where the next hit'll be coming from. It would have to be exhausting to watch all your sides all the time not knowing where the enemy would be lurking.

Connections or not Sloane and company have a lot of work to do ahead of them. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Who needs one man when you can have 6 delicious immortals instead? I chose this book because I enjoyed Ms. Adele’s For the Strange and Surprising which was a science fiction romantic suspense novel. I was also curious how she could pull off such a big undertaking of 7 main characters. It was a bit confusing and frustratingly overwhelming with an unfortunate cliffhanger.

Sloane King is one crazy, badass hybrid with some hellish skills and a huge ego. If that weren’t enough she is fated to be mates with a hot team of rebel men including a missing druid, a cheeky vampire, a broody wolf shifter, a wise mage, a dauntless demon, and a by-the-book fae. Together this mating will give Sloane limitless power which, unfortunately, will make her a target for the evildoers to drain her powers to create a dangerous drug that turns magical beings against each other. Can her mates keep her safe or will unknown forces take her down?

I liked that Sloane is the Alpha in her new pack. It’s always good to see a strong female. Her friend Jack, the horse shifter (yeah, that’s a new one) is hilarious and his lover Grim is exactly who his name implies. Cool that! Sloane’s mates have varied personalities that work well with each other. However, I felt there was no time in building their relationships with Sloane hence no real chemistry. I’m also not a big fan of more than two points of view because it just gets confusing and is harder to follow the plot when I’m trying to remember who each of the characters is. The direction of the story is hard to follow especially at the beginning as we are introduced to a myriad of characters and the plot isn’t revealed until much later. Throw in some steamy sex scenes here and there and finally an antagonist with a vendetta and you get all the ingredients for a series with potential.

Overall, I found the idea of this book to be intriguing and unique, but I found the plot needed to be honed a little more.

Thank you to Ms. Adele for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

Reverse harem romance is kind of a guilty pleasure for me, and then MF Adele goes and gives me a reverse harem romance with druids! The book was so much fun for me. It's exciting and entertaining, and it's told in multi-POV, so I got to spend some time with each of the harem and Sloane. From the blurb, I expected a story full of wit and possibly humor, and a heroine who is a full of sass, strong woman perfectly capable and confident. I got all of that and then some along with a fast pace and plenty of action. This is my first read by MF Adele, but it won't be my last, and I like that this a series of 7 books - that means plenty of time with these great characters and their adventures.

DNF @ 95%

Oh my god I do not care. I don't care how this ends. I don't give a shit. This shit is boring. There is no sexy time until past the 50% mark, and it was crap. The plot sucks. The characters are boring. I do not care. This book is bringing nothing to my table. Sloane has the most blindingly sparkling diamond vagina in all the lands. She has every magic and every skill. She is AMAZING. She is a hybrid of vampire, demon, shifter, and mage because her mom was a mage who magically magicked her into her womb so she has bits of all 3 dads. SHE IS SO COOL? DID YOU KNOW? SHE IS AMAZING!

I could forgive it if there was decent fucking, but there isn't. This book has 0 redeeming qualities. Do not recommend.

Druid Dreams is the start of a reverse harem series. Judging from the planned titles, it seems that each one will focus particularly on one member of the harem at a time. That's not to say that our heroine, Sloane King, hasn't met the other men, or should I say creatures, or well I'm not sure what the term is really, who are part of this polyamorous relationship. They all appear in this book and she begins to learn about them and what they bring to the relationship. They are all supernatural beings of one sort or another, a druid, a vampire, a fae, a madge, a demon and a wolf shifter.
York is the druid who appears in the title. While the other characters only meet Sloane in this book, York has had a previous relationship with her before vanishing suddenly. Sloane doesn't know where he went or why and feeling that he has just run off, is understandably angry with him.
There is a lot to get your head around here and it did take me a while to understand what was going on. It almost feels as though there's a prequel that I've missed or even a previous book. I did get it mostly straight in the end.
Sloane herself is a really strong character, in fact in some ways, she's almost a little too perfect. But it is good to see such a strong female lead.
I'll be interested to see where this series goes. At the moment it's very heavy on the action and building what is happening and the romance really takes a back seat. I wonder how that will play out in future books. I'll be interested to see.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and given voluntarily.

This book is a paranormal reverse haram. It's the first in a new series. I loved the world building and Sloane is a great strong antiheroine! She is bold, funny and in charge! The world building is really interesting and I love that her mates are all so different from each other. We get this story from multiple points of view (Sloane and her mates). The beginning was a bit confusing while I was getting all the characters straight, but then things really came together for me. Check trigger warnings. Also, the book ends in a cliffhanger. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

I find this book exciting, although I had problems at first with the relatively large number of important names, which made changing perspectives a bit difficult until you knew which point of view you were looking at. However, these difficulties were soon forgotten as the story develops quickly. The standout feature of this novel, however, is the delicious sense of humor.

Sloane makes you fall in love with the entire story. If you are looking for a harem this is defiantly one you would want to pick up. The spicy is good and the adventure adds to it being a fantastic read. I am happy that it's part of a series.

it took me so long to write this review because I had a very hard time getting through it. it's porn, well written porn. the reverse harem was fun, I did kinda wish her boyfriends were also going to sleep with each other rather than just her. the writing was kinda chunky and the plot threads took ages to resolve. felt a little too reader insert for me but if that's what you're into, it's probably perfect.

There's a lot of potential in this book but i didn't care for the MC and the story fell flat.
Not my cup of tea
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

I was given this book by NetGalley for free for my honest review.

Let’s jump in! The blurb intrigued me. I was in the mood for supernatural but unsure where to go… a bit of a slump you could say. Now that I’ve finished this story I have to say the blurb doesn’t do this story justice! It was everything I was looking for and MORE!

I love reading about different types of supernaturals and this one has IT ALL. Sloane is a BadA! I want to be her when I grow up! I love the idea of mates and it pulling you together, but not making you fall in love. Each of her mates are so unique and I love that. I’m sure there are reasons that will be explained in later books.

There are ALOT of players in the book. I’m not going to lie I struggled for the first 6-7 chapters to try and keep everyone straight. Finally I just had to open notes on my phone and make a list of the characters, their species, and anything else notable about their character/powers. I did have to refer back to that often throughout the story.

I’m, also, intrigued by the world the author has built. I want to know so much more, but am thankful they didn’t bog down the first book with too much. I’ve read another series that I loved that touched on all the different types of supernaturals and gaining characteristics. It’s called Guild Hunter by Nalini Singh. If you liked that series I definitely think you will enjoy this one!

I honestly couldn’t put this book down and I have every intention of reading book 2 SOON. This one ends on a cliffhanger so there is no way I can wait very long before I dive in! You have be warned!

Overall I give this 4.5 stars!

Goodness, where to begin? There is a lot going on in this book! I wish a bit more was explained in the beginning to help me grasp the relationships and settings, but after I caught on it definitely held my attention. There is plenty of steam and, surprisingly, humor to go around. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but make sure to read the content warning before you decide to read.

I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
