A very beautiful book on the importance of being kind, even towards what seems different to us.
The message is clear and nicely illustrated, which makes the story very pleasant to tell to children. The illustrations are very soft although a little dull, which gives a "vintage" side (it's obviously the style of this illustrator).

A brief, very beautiful album, which also contains some information on the meaning of the flowers in our gardens ! ^^

A very cute little book introducing what some flowers mean from a bee going flower to flower, with a brief page at the end. It has calm coloured images. Really nice.

This is the most beautifully illustrated book that I have seen in a long time. The flowers and animals are portrayed in a magical, ethereal way which will certainly excite children. The story is also truly lovely, about a little Bee called Beatrice who says nice things to the plants and as a result, they grow and multiply. The morals of the story are based around kindness and friendship and the impacts of kindness on those around us. A really lovely book!

The Language of Flowers follows Beatrice the bumblebee as she grows up in a meadow full of flowers. The flowers teach her their language and Beatrice spends her days giving the flowers messages. As the meadow grows, Beatrice goes on a journey to find more bumblebees who can help her. All she has to do is to watch out of the swamp.

I liked the message of this story but the personified art work of flowers was not my favorite thing. The story of kindness and giving back is a lovely one and the information at the end of the book about flowers and their meaning is wonderful.

This absolutely gorgeous picture book is an utter delight. I can't wait to get a hard copy myself and order tons for the store I work at...I'll be recommending this one left and right, for sure.

This is such a sweet and gentle story about an adorable bumblebee and the flowers that become her family. Lovely illustrations and a charming story.

This book was just absolutely precious! The bee is such an important symbol & in this book just the most wonderful little character. I adore bees in general but especially bumblebees so I was excited to read this one with my son. The art is so sweet and has an almost ethereal quality to it. The message of the story is eco important, how bees & flowers are such an important part of our ecosystem & Mother Earth, but the way the story teaches you is such a lovely way you can't help but absorb the scientific information that you're so gently told about throughout the story. It is a lovely story that shows children the difference treating each others with gentleness & kindness can make. I loved how you learn about the meanings of the different flowers, & love the extra resources included in the book in case you want to learn more about them. I cannot wait to get my hands on a hardcover copy of this book when it is released.

This was such a sweet story! The little bumblebee was adorable, and the “lesson” in the story was relatable and one that everyone should learn. I loved the art as well, such soft muted colors but they had such an impact. I thought it was lovely and would be a wonderful addition to any collection or library.

I was given an advanced reader's copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own

The cover of The Language of Flowers immediately drew me in. The illustrations in this book are absolutely beautiful. The art is soft with muted colors, and the story is adorable as well. The little bumblebee is beyond cute and teaches a great lesson on spreading love to others and using kind words. I wish the story was longer! I will be putting this one on my list of recommendations for sure.

I love the illustrations in this book; the colors are soft and muted but the detail is fantastic. The flowers re very reminiscent of the flowers in Alice in Wonderland.

Beatrice the bee does a great job of showing us the importance of bees and of sharing kind words. Great book!

Oh! This book is darling! Absolutely darling! Boys and girls both can enjoy it. (I don't think it was too flowery or anything.)

The bumblebee is the cutest bumblebee I've ever seen! We follow along and learn an excellent lesson in kindness from the bumblebee.

This is a quality storybook. Would definitely recommend!

I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an eARC of this title in exchange for my honest review.

This is the sweetest little story about a baby bee becoming a messenger for all of the flowers in the garden. When the little bee realizes that because of her spreading love, joy, and messages (and pollen) around the garden, there are even more flowers sprouting up, she goes out in search of more bumblebees to help.

The art style reminds me a lot of the flowers from Alice in Wonderland.

The only thing that bugged me was the abrupt ending right. I feel like if there had been one or two more pages, then it wouldn’t have felt the need to literally tell us the story was over and could have showed it instead.

What a beautiful book this is! The art is so gentle and beautiful. The colored pencil illustrations add so much to the mood of the story; one feels like one must be quiet and really listen to the messages the little bee is delivering. I believe the message of the story is extremely valuable and can be useful in both learning about science but also in social-emotional learning. Kids can see the difference treating each others kindly can make. They can also see how kindness helps us grow and also how kindness acts as a catalyst to help us attract more people, creating a beautiful and diverse garden. What an excellent message with exquisite, inviting artwork! I also enjoyed the meanings of flowers and further resources included in the book to explore their meanings! Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the eARC! I will be buying this book when it is released in print!
