“When you walk down the sidewalks of Brighton Hills, it’s green and tidy and … a lie. People are polite, and it’s always so quiet, but on this night, something very loud happened.”

The gated community of luxurious Brighton Hills, Oregon offers wealthy residents a feeling of security; however, hidden behind the curtains of each home, lurks someone who purports to be different than they project. Perhaps the owners on this quiet street should be wary of each other!

This fast-paced, character-driven domestic thriller is told from 3 different points of view; that of the three Birkin and Gucci toting women.

You’ll meet Finn and Cora Holmons and their daughter, Mia. Cora thinks her husband is cheating on her and asks Paige to follow him and report back.

Luca and Georgia Kinney and their daughter, Avery. Georgia is difficult to read at first. She’s the newbie on the street and seems hesitant to make friends. You’ll know something is not right, but you can’t put your finger on it and then …. the author gives you more access to her background.

Grant and Paige Moretti are caught up in a never-ending cycle of grief after losing their son, Caleb. Life has been put on pause until Paige sees her value in coming to Cora’s rescue.

Such a fantastic book! You’ll be stifling giggles, gasping at outlandish activities and raising your eyebrows at the unlikely alliances and shocking betrayals. If at any point you are tempted to set it aside, keep reading. It all unravels and hindsight makes the unambiguous better understood.

The author’s fantastic characterization, her ability to keep the plot unpredictable, and her exploration of dysfunction make this a memorable and enjoyable book.

I was gifted this advance copy by Seraphina Nova Glass, Harlequin Trade Publishing, Graydon House, and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

Now this is how you write a domestic noir thriller. You start slowly, introducing us to three women, Cora, Paige and Georgia. You show us their lives, mostly hidden, in a gated suburban neighborhood. You build up the suspense when the women begin to look behind the glossy exteriors of their own and each other’s existences. You draw us in to a classic ‘you believe what you want to believe’ scenario. You build and build until the reader can’t stop until they reach the satisfying conclusion. Brava, I loved every flawed woman and the risks they take to expose their truths. Five stars and one hundred percent recommended!

A twisty mind bending thriller that had me guessing until the very end.

I loved the multiple point of views. Getting to see what each woman was individually going through was soo helpful in understanding the dynamics of the story. The unlikely friendships forged, and unexpected betrayals made the story feel soo real.

Most thrillers to me are predictable, but this one most definitely was not. I could not figure out what was really going on until the very end. Every twist has me gasping in shock. I loved it.

I loved this ending as well. I was really nervous about how everything was going to go down. I was pleasantly surprised and completely satisfied With the ending.

Wow!!!! This is definitely not the perfect neighborhood that everyone seems to think it is! Cora, Paige, and Georgia all have their share of secrets, lies, betrayals, and more. This book was full of twists and turns. This is a single sitting read that will have you flipping the pages FAST! The book is told in 3 perspectives of the ladies names above. I liked the authors writing style and appreciated some of the dark humor thrown in, especially considering there are some heavy topics explored throughout the story. I had several different theories as to how this one would play out. I was wrong about all my suspicions. I did however, like the ending to this book. The characters in this book were likable and I was crossing my fingers for each of them. I liked this book ALOT and will definitely be recommending it to other readers. Many thanks to NetGalley and to HTP for the ARC.

There's so much more going on inside the wealthy, secluded gates of seaside town Brighton Hills than meets the eye. As Paige, Cora, and Georgia navigate their own complex marriages in the wake of a community tragedy, secrets that their beloved, exclusive community has held onto slowly unearth themselves one after another.

"On a Quiet Street" is one of the most engrossing, explosive domestic thrillers I've read in a long time. If you loved "Girl on the Train" and "Big Little Lies," Seraphina Nova Glass's latest debut is the wild, unpredictable ride you simply must take. The story is propelled so powerfully by interesting and more importantly, believably-complex characters; while its "twists" might not be the most mind-blowing I've read in recent years, the punches they deliver are so perfectly-timed and airtight in delivery that they make for an almost cinematic read. I felt like I was reading and watching a movie all at once--I was totally transported by each storyline and genuinely could not put this book down.

I devoured "On a Quiet Street" in 24 hours, chiefly because its characters kept me fully invested and guessing right up until the end. If you're in a reading slump or feel like giving up on domestic thrillers the are all starting to seem the same, read this. You won't be sorry.

My first by this author and I did enjoy her writing style. The snark and added humor gave some reprieve from the darker themes of domestic abuse and infidelity.

Paige was someone I loved and hated at times. She doesn’t mind calling the newspaper boy a f-ing psychopath after he hits her doggie with a newspaper and then she blatantly ignores the doorbell when the police ring. She hopes they “rub up against the poison oak” on their way to her back patio where she is leisurely having her morning coffee.

This isn’t a “cozy” story, but the I enjoyed the fun little scenes the author included. I literally laughed at some of the situations Paige got herself caught up in! She is certainly on a mission playing MacGyver as she tries to solve a crime.

Secrets, red flaggy behavior, and serial cheating, are just some of the bad behaviors of the neighbors on this quiet street. With friends like these, who needs enemies?! Maybe someone will get some poetic justice?

Yet another triumph by this talented writer! I loved the suburban setting in which a beautiful facade hides a multitude of sins and no one is to trust! A wonderful domestic thriller with some very unpleasant neighbors!

Truly enjoyed reading this mystery/thriller. I loved that it was told from different characters’ point of view and the fast paced action that kept me intrigued. There were some predictable twist and turns and some that were completely shocking. It was a great read!

Wow, this was a great book! Was it perfect? No, but it kept me on the edge of my seat, rooting for characters (some of whom I wasn't sure I should be rooting for), turning pages because I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next, and yet not wanting the book to end. I loved it.
The story takes place in a seemingly-idyllic affluent neighborhood that at first glance might appear placid, boring, and "normal." But right off the bat the reader realizes there is much more going on beneath the surface and this quiet street is full of secrets, lies, and horrible crimes. Paige is trying to come to terms with the hit-and-run death of her son just a year before but is doing it by pushing away her husband, obsessing over her neighbors, and hounding the police about solving what she believes was her son's murder. Cora believes her husband is having an affair, no matter how much he denies it, and confides in Paige, who offers to investigate the matter. And then rumors surround Georgia, the young English wife of a prominent judge--is she just standoffish, or does she really have a mental health issue that is keeping her isolated in her own home with her young daughter? The way the lives of these three women intersect is twisty, beguiling, and shocking. Everyone is keeping secrets, and the way the secrets are slowly revealed and the lives of these women are changed in the process kept me guessing and gasping out loud.
The characters in this book are wonderful. Each of the three women are compelling and the way the author develops each character throughout the book is amazing. While Paige, Cora, and Georgia all do things that are dishonest, questionable, and perhaps even criminal, they all have rooting value and it is easy for the reader to grasp their motivations in their actions.
The plot while just a bit slow in the first fourth or so, picked up big time and had me at the edge of my seat from about 30% on. What started off as, "Oh no...she shouldn't be doing that," soon turned into,"No!! Why did she do that?!!" and then to, "Oh my goodness, NO! DON'T DO THAT!" And just when I thought I had figured out how things would go, an unbelievable twist would come up that would make me literally widen my eyes, think to myself, "What?! No way!" and wonder what on earth would happen next. So many little clues are dropped in here or there that I was soon thinking to myself, "Oh, that's why she said that," or "I remember when that was mentioned," or something along those lines. And even at the very end, the book got even more exciting in the last pages.
The best thing I can say about this book is that I kept checking how many pages were left because I did not want it to be over. Having enjoyed the author's previous book, I was looking forward to reading this one, but this book absolutely blew me away. I would 100% recommend this book if you like mystery, crime, domestic thrillers, and a story that will keep you guessing.

In "On a Quiet Street"the community and neighbors may seem peaceful and perfect but many dramas are simmering just behind those security camera watched doors. One couple falls apart after the apparent hit and run death of their son, another couple is falling apart due to infidelity and a third hides secrets so shocking that when the truth comes out none of their lives will ever be the same again. Author Glass weaves these three seemingly separate stories into one cohesive thriller and readers won't be able to put this down until the very end. There is no clear cut justice here, everyone bears some amount of guilt but they are also willing to keep each other's secrets and lie to the police in order to heal and move on with their lives. A moving and shocking thriller; a treat for readers of the genre.

Certainly not a quiet street when you pull back the curtains…

Brighton Hills sounds like the perfect family community. Wonderful families, wonderful activities…a murder…and more behind the facade.

The story is told from 3 POVs. Cora is a housewife with a daughter, and she thinks her husband, Finn, is cheating on her. Paige’s son died the year before in a hit and run. She hasn’t been the same since, but finally feels herself coming back to life when she agrees to help Cora prove Finn is a cheater. Georgia is a relatively new neighbor, and also mother to a newborn. She seems a bit odd and reclusive. What’s her deal?

Each of these women have secrets. Can they come together to resolve issues? Or will things take a deadly turn?

This is a domestic suspense that gets better as it progresses. I was hooked from the beginning, but initially thought some actions seemed silly. Thank goodness I kept reading…since those “silly” parts mostly made sense later on.

There are definitely some humorous shenanigans as a result of outrageous behavior. What surprised me is that this isn’t just another typical neighborhood, gossipy, soap opera (even though I enjoy those books). Certain reveals in the plot get pretty dark, and I was hooked!

There were a few surprises I never suspected, and there were moments of tension and unease that literally had me talking back to the characters: “OMG, why did you DO that?!” I cared about the women, and Glass does a great job of getting them to grow on the reader.

Will everyone love this? No.
Are there better neighborhood suspense books? Yes.
Are there worse neighborhood suspense books? Hell yeah!
Is this entertaining, and does it have some unexpected depth mixed in? Yep!
Should I read it? If the above sounds good to you, then absofreakinlutely!

Ok, Seraphina Nova Glass, I see you! This was quite the page turner. And the opening scene? HA. I loved Paige from the start. At first, I started to wonder if this story was just about neighbor's having affairs but NO, the plot takes a left turn and is SO much more, I was hooked!

The storyline unfolds from the perspective of three neighbors, Cora, Paige and Georgia. Everything is not as as it seems on this quiet little street. Multiple story lines come together with twists I did not see coming. This is one of the best domestic dramas I’ve read in a while! Fast paced and full of surprises.

I’m looking forward to reading more by this author. Definitely an author to watch!

This thriller had a great setting--the perfect suburban Mayberry with white picket fences--and an excellent cast of characters--Caleb's mom was absolutely fantastic! The backstory instantly grabbed me and pulled me along with so many ominous and shocking twists along the way. I couldn't put this down; devoured it one day! A must read for lovers of twisted thrillers.

Brighton Hills is a picturesque, exclusive Oregon community full of seemingly-perfect people in their perfect homes. However, as is usually the case, everything is not as perfect as it seems... Neighbors Cora, Paige and Georgia all have something in common. For different reasons, they are all unhappy with their lives. Cora believes her husband, Finn, is cheating on her. Paige and her husband, Grant, have never been the same after their son, Caleb, was killed in a hit and run last year. Georgia is mysterious and reclusive, spending all of her time in her home with her daughter and acting stranger each day. What could be hiding amongst these women on such a quiet street?

I really, really enjoyed this story. I have been in a bit of a reading slump and started out quite slow with this one... until the pace picked up and I couldn't put it down! Each character had her own perspective and story, each extremely well-developed and enticing. I particularly enjoyed the ways these stories connected and the connection between the three women-- we love a badass female empowerment story! You'll find yourself surprised throughout the twists and turns of this book and, if you're like me, you'll cheer for these women throughout as they try to make sense of what has gone wrong amidst their domestic bliss. This is an author to watch!

On a Quiet Street by Seraphina Nova, Glass had many twists, subterfuge, and lies and was quite the page-turner. The author was skillful in weaving the various storylines together. There were many gasp-out-loud moments for me. I really liked the author's writing style and storytelling.

I would highly recommend this book and this author.

Seraphina Nova Glass creates an ultimate domestic drama that should be on everyone's list this year!! I was so excited to receive this one after seeing how high the reviews were. I encourage you to read the other reviews as well. The dynamics of this novel is to never covet what someone has because it just might be an illusion. The neighborhood of Brighton Hills is located on the Oregon coast behind a gated representation of the very wealthy. The houses set on well manicured lawns touching the lakes edge. Each home is exclusively, gorgeous, as well as the occupants of each home.

**Cora & Finn have one teenage daughter Mia. Their marriage is a roller coaster ready to jump track due to Finn's infidelity. She assumes he is cheating on her and goes to great lengths for evidence with the help of her neighborhood friend Paige.
** Paige & Grant have suffered the loss of their only son Caleb in a hit and run accident. As Paige pushes through her grief, she also eliminates Grant from her life against his wishes. She is a hoot and I enjoyed her stints of "bitchy" behavior with accuracy of her loss. Even the police give up on her epic personality stunts and complaint calls for her son's killer. She is a dynamic super sleuth that I would want on my side.
**Georgia & Lucas are the most reclusive with their one year old daughter Avery. So much can be said about this couple. Lucas's side of the story says she is afraid to live the house and encounters are only made from her front porch. There are cameras inside and out which soon gives way to a spiraling, abusive relationship.
When describing their secrets: "Some big, some little, some deadly. And one by one, they're about to be revealed...."
At times, I cringed at these three women's plights, but it gave way to what lengths you would go to acknowledge the truth and the turn of events to get to that point. Who is to say what dysfunctional homes exist in the neighborhood which look so perfect on a quiet street? Such an enjoyable adventure with unethical twists and turns.

I couldn’t stop reading On A Quiet Street by Seraphina Nova Glass.! Multiple story lines are skillfully woven together and surprise twists keep the plot moving along at a fast pace. I’m looking forward to reading more by Ms. Glass!

On a Quiet Street is so intense I held my breath throughout the entire novel. Adultery and murder and abusive spousal kidnapping interwoven into each chapter certainly makes for an electrifying read. Is it really the quiet street it showcases? Seraphina Nova Glass explicitly saved the climax for last in this thriller.
