The Messy Lives of Book People by Phaedra Patrick is such a terrific book! I loved the protagonist and felt really proud of how she worked things out for all the people involved in this story - they all felt real. That is a true attribute of a very goid writer.

This was a fun read. It's also the first book i have read by phaedra Patrick. I can see myself reading more. I am grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for an honest review

This book was quite enjoyable and an unexpected breath of fresh air. I have been in quite the reading rut lately, so the unexpected turns throughout this book kept me entertained and invested in the story. It definitely caters to those of us who spend our days daydreaming inside our favorite books and becoming invested in our favorite characters, much like the main character. Quick summary: Liv is a mother and wife, who makes ends meet by cleaning other people's homes. One of her clients is a world-renowned author and Liv has read every single one of her books. When the author suddenly dies, she leaves an unexpected job for Liv to complete. With this new role, Liv’s life takes many unexpected turns that keep the reader interested throughout the whole book. I look forward to reading more from this author!

Great book. Really good premise. Cleaner whose father (who died early) was an English professor who works as a cleaner for a famous author that she loves and knows the character inside and out. When the author dies, the cleaner gets tasked with finishing the last novel but there are strings attached. Great read.
