Great bilingual book for readers learning Spanish or Spanish readers learning English. The text and pictures work together to help readers gain context. The illustrations are simple and this would be a great book to introduce parents to bilingual storybooks.

Fun and sweet bilingual book featuring different people/jobs within a typical community. Read it to my 2 year old and it kept his attention. Thank you for letting me read it!

Interesting story! Great for those fluent in both English and Spanish as the sentences on each page are usually different where I expected them to be the same. However we love to see bi lingual stories and enjoyed this one!

This is a wonderful dual-language toddler book that is colourful and diverse! The illustrations are bright, and have lots of details for kiddos to look at. It demonstrates a variety of jobs and helpers in the community. I liked how they incorporated both languages into the story

This dual language , English and Spanish, toddler book is a song book that has a scan-able QR code to listen to the song and provides lots of conversation starters about helpers in the community. The text is simple, but the illustrations show diverse helpers of all colors, ability, ethnicities, and there is even a hijab wearing crossing guard (#muslimintheillustrations).
The full color bright illustrations and the informative facts at the end detailing the community helpers depicted in the book, would make this a great book for toddlers to preschoolers to enjoy.

A gorgeous book and a testament to the diversity in a community. Whether in different skin tones, disabilities, or religious garb (the hijab was amazing to see), the book radiates diversity and community love!
I love the term of helpers and the encouragement of kids to be helpers for their communities.
I enjoyed seeing the Spanish as It is perfect for learners and gets the book into more hands!
I won’t be featuring it on my blog due do it having writing on the online arc, but a beautiful book nonetheless!

I like the way the bilingual language is handled in this book. Some of it is repeated so the kids can learn it as a sort of refrain. Some of it doesn't correspond to what is being said in the other language, but supports it. This book would be great for biingual kids or kids that are trying to learn both languages. There definitely need to be more books in this format.

This energetic delightful book is a dual-language book that kids will not only have fun reading but be educated as well. It is a celebration of community told in both Spanish and English.

The tour of this community introduces a diverse group of people who help keep the community running smoothly and are interconnected for the good of all the people who live there. This community tour will highlight those people who help others stay safe, learn, and thus live happily.

The busy colourful illustrations enrich the narrative and the book includes a glossary of community helpers and the important roles that they serve in. Another fun feature is a QR code at the back of the book that unlocks exclusive songs that kids can scan and enjoy! I highly recommend this book.

This picturebook is written in English and Spanish, it revolves around community and it's people. I feel as though this an important story for kids because of its diversity and how it expresses the need for teamwork for a community. The pictures are also very bright and fit the overarching story very well.

My girls are starting to learn Spanish so when I saw this book I knew I wanted to read it to/with them. This book talks about many different community helpers and each page has the sentences in Spanish and English. This was very helpful for my girls who know some words in Spanish and we able to listen to the sentence, look at the pictures, and understand what was happening before I read the sentence in English! I loved the format of the book and the illustrations. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

I really appreciate the idea of this storybook.

I like how it introduces the various community members who play an important role in what makes a functioning community.

The illustration is basic and expressive with bright colours.

The best part of the book is that it's written in two languages which will aid kids in learning multiple languages at the right time.

Thank you author/artist for the advance reader copy.

Mi Comunidad/My Community is a wonderful book by 123 Andres. We actually own, "Hello, Friend"/ "Hola, Amigo" and we love it! This is a great book, as the title indicates is written in both English and Spanish. It mentions the people of our community and the importance of these people to how we live in a community. Great definitions of what these people do at the end of the book. Also, a bonus is that it includes the music so you can sing along after discussing the book, which is great and melodic, exactly the fun you expect from 123 Andres.

This is a book and song about community helpers that is written/sung in both Spanish and English. The text of the book is the lyrics to the song, which means that the book features some repetition since lines are repeated as part of the melody. This is a little awkward when reading aloud, so I'd recommend doing a pre-read to get a feel for the rhythm before presenting this to students. It should also be noted that the English and Spanish words are not direct translations of each other. Instead they play off of each other almost like a conversation.

The illustrations are spectacular! They're vivid, detailed, and feature great representation of people from all walks of life. They definitely enhance the story and will grab kids' attention. There is a nice list of community helpers at the end that explains, in English and Spanish, the various roles of people who work in the community.

Between the song, interesting pictures, and the fun of switching between English and Spanish, I think this one will be a hit for pre-K and early elementary!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
