Ahmed cleverly weaves a story of Islamophobia with a heart-thumping murder mystery. Readers will have tear-filled eyes for the loss of an innocent life, and clenched fists in the hopes the murderers are found.
Although this is a work of fiction, it is based on so many painful stories of unnecessary loss and violence because of racism, that it hits home.
