Do you remember how No More Word ended?
Well, the author, in No More Lies, picks up the story of Jenna and Josh where she left off.
Just as in the first novel, there is no shortage of twists and turns in this one, also aided by Lonsdale's writing, I devoured the book in a day.
Kerry knows how to keep the reader glued to the pages of a book.
Undoubtedly, however, No More Lies is not a book to be taken lightly, still dealing with sensitive issues. As well as in the first volume.
So be prepared for the thousands of theories that will be tossed around and immerse yourself in this compelling series.

What a ride. No More Lies picks up right where No More Words. ends. Jenna and Josh's points of view were an entirely new perspective that challenged things we thought we knew from No More Words. Some things came together, some were left dangling. I have suspicions and theories about certain characters and their motives. I could feel Jenna's panic, desperation, heartbreak, and eventual relief. No More Lies is a great read, it kept me guessing without stressing me out too much (anyone else need to watch a Disney movie after watching something scary?). I loved it, it doesn't end on a cliffhanger like the first. I'll be counting down the days until No More Secrets. I need to know what happens to Lucas, I'm sure this family isn't out of the woods yet.

What a great read! I’ll definitely look out for more of Kerry’s books. No More Lies has it all. Secrets, compelling characters and lots of twists and turns. I wish I’d started with book 1.

Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing a copy of this book.

Great read! Writing style kept you immersed in the story. Book 2 of 3 but could be read as a standalone. Will be looking forward to more of Kerry's books!

it’s no secret Kerry Lonsdale is one of my favorite authors. In NO MORE LIES she weaves another intricate web of lies and betrayal that’ll keep you turning those pages, saying “One more chapter,” and I bet you won’t stop at one. With such compelling characters they practically leap out of the novel, life-shattering secrets that should – but won’t – stay hidden, and twists and turns you won’t see coming, this family driven suspense will keep you on tenterhooks until the end

I loved this book. This is the second in a series, with the first one being No More Words. It was a fantastic book, and this is even better. I can't wait for the third book! This kept me on the edge of my seat and wondering what would happen until the very end. Would definitely recommend!

No More Lies is the second book in the No More series by Kerry Lonsdale. I went into this having read and enjoyed Everything We Keep. I started with book 1 in this series in case the books were connected, which they were. I enjoyed book 2, this one, far more than the first. The story itself was part very light thriller, part stalker, and mostly contemporary fiction. I loved the alternating points of view and changing timelines, but I felt that the writing had some unrealistic elements, including word usage, dialog, and overall probability. Many readers won’t be bothered by these things, but I am in any kind of book. That said, it was a fun read, getting to see the other side of the story and how we got to the events of book 1.

Thank you to NetGalley for my free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Much better than the first one. Very good and less cheesy! I love Lonsdale! I’m looking forward to the final book for sure. I also ended up finding the audio version and though this feedback isn’t supposed to be for that I will say that the narrator is great and the reading was really good!

The No More series follows estranged siblings Lily, Olivia, and Lucas. Once close as children, the actions of their parents drove them apart as teens. Check out my review of the first book, No More Words, to see how the series is set up.

No More Words followed the oldest sibling, Olivia. In No More Lies we get to know Lily, now going by the name Jenna Mason, and her son Josh. The majority of the story is told through Jenna’s present-day POV, but some flashbacks to her childhood tell the story of the secret she’s running from.

Having read the first book in the series, I loved how this continuation was told. It fills in some of the gaps introduced in No More Words, and I was so excited for the timelines to converge. I thought the flashbacks were just enough to keep the reader interested in Jenna’s past without overtaking the present-day story. The plot was well-paced and engaging throughout.

I’m normally not the biggest fan of the “I’m unlovable because of my past” trope, but in this case it was well done. Jenna worked through her residual trauma from her past and realized she was still seeing things through the view of a twelve-year-old girl. She eventually explained everything to her fiance and made up for her mistakes.

This was a great continuation of the series, and I’m looking forward to book three which follows Lucas’s point of view. If you haven’t read this series before, I would definitely recommend starting with No More Words to gain some necessary background. No More Lies would work as a standalone, but the first book is definitely worth the read and the background makes the story even better.

Second book in the trilogy. SO good! Secrets, hiding, lies. This author really knows how to tell an exciting, edge of your seat story. I am thrilled to have read both books so far and look forward to the third.

Jenna Mason has been on the run since she was 16 years old and she’s tired of it. She and her 13yo son, Josh, feel at home in Oceanside, California with her loving fiancé, Kavan, and his daughter Uma.

Jenna is finally successful as a children’s book author and able to relax. feels finally able to settle and relax after years of moving every few months. Unfortunately, a local journalist has stumbled upon some information about her he wants to publish, making a name for himself. Jenna Mason is actually Lily Carson, who was 16 and pregnant when she killed her best friend, Wes, in self-defense, and ran. But she is also running from her dangerous father, who has threatened to kill the father of her baby. Her father, Dwight, has a video of her killing Wes, which he threatens to leak should she tell anyone about the secret Dwight has. When the journalist brings Dwight to Jenna’s door in Oceanside, chaos ensues. But is Dwight really the one stalking Jenna, or is it someone else from her past?

The author does a wonderful job of pulling the reader in, and doesn’t let up with the drama until the last page, which sets up nicely for the third book in the series. There is a ton of drama and action, which made me feel like I had to turn the page faster. In fact, there is so much drama, it kind of feels like a soap opera, which is not a bad thing, but you certainly wanted the lead character to get a break! When Jenna and Josh are on the run again, Josh asks for a potty break and Jenna gets hit by a car and wakes up in a hospital several days later with Josh missing. The drama!

No More Lies is told from the perspective of Jenna and Josh, two unique voices. Lonsdale did a great job voicing the struggles of a 13-year-old who just wants to stay in one place, at the same school, with his friends. Also, as a 13-year-old, makes reckless decisions, and doesn’t quite understand how life works as an adult. As Jenna, she will do anything to protect Josh from her past. She is so afraid of being found out that she is afraid to make friends, and is just letting Kavan in. We learn a lot about Jenna as a 16-year-old girl who is pregnant and scared. She is constantly running from her past and the responsibility she feels for Wes’ death, though it wasn’t entirely her fault. Her terror when Josh goes missing is relatable and profound. I could feel her anxiety and I appreciated the author wrote this piece so well. No More Lies is an excellent thriller with many “edge of your seat” moments. While it is a series, it can be read as a standalone. As a new reader of this author, I will definitely go back and read the first book.

I was excited to be approved for this book because I’ve been seeing so much praise for this author and have never read her. In my excitement, I didn’t realize it was the 2nd book in a trilogy. But, to my pleasure, this book did not feel like a continuation, more like a stand-alone. The author did a great job of referring to the past without it becoming redundant.

What’s it like to start over? Jenna Mason has been looking over her shoulder for years, since before her son Josh was born. Now, she has a successful career, a fiancé she loves and a son asking a lot of questions. Will the past catch up with her and destroy everything she has worked so hard for? Secrets, lies and the past will eventually catch up. Great characters. Satisfying but predictable ending. I’m looking forward to the last book in this trilogy.

Thanks to Ms. Lonsdale, Lake Union Press and NetGalley for this ARC. Opinion is mine alone.

This series keeps getting better, book two was fantastic, I devoured it in one sitting and kept me at the edge of my seat from start to finish. The best part is that there is a third book in the future and I can’t wait to get it.

NO MORE LIES by Kerry Lonsdale is the second book in a series that continues to fill in many of the gaps from NO MORE WORDS. I love everything that Lonsdale writes and this novel continues with her great writing style and character development. Where NO MORE WORDS tells the story from Olivia’s point of view, NO MORE LIES follows Lily’s portion of the family saga. You get to learn more about what happened that night with Wes, what happened with her son and his trauma, and what happened with Lily during her decade on the run. I really appreciated seeing how her role as a mother evolved during the story and how she responds to each trauma she experiences differently. The scenes with Josh made my momma heart cave in the first book and it did it again with this book. Talk about resilience. I cannot wait to read the third installment with Lucas as the narrator. This family may drift around like wood in the lake at times but they always make it back to the shore. I received an Advance Review Copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Book Two in the No More trilogy, this novel follows Jenna, formerly known as Lily. Jenna has spent most of her life running in an effort to protect her son, Josh. She finally feels safe enough to settle down & give her son a normal life; however, just as she drops her defenses, it seems like someone is threatening to bring all her past secrets to life.

Things I enjoyed:
- the overlapping timelines between Books 1 & 2. I rushed to get to the point where the first book began. I liked seeing the events that led Josh to Olivia's door.
- the dual timeline. The Lily chapters were sparing & gave away just enough to keep you itching for another piece of the backstory.
- the readability. This story just flows easily. The majority of the book is showing how Jenna got where she is and why she feels she needs to protect everything she has so fiercely. The last third of the novel is where the action picks up. This one has a little bit of everything (suspense, mystery, love story, etc.) & it worked.

I'm not usually a fan of the "I have a past and I'm not loveable / not deserving of love because of it" trope, which is so very much Jenna, but Lonsdale does a great job of showing Jenna working through everything & admitting to her mistakes, which I really appreciated.

Overall, another great family suspense read from Kerry Lonsdale. I can't wait to read Lucas's story!

After reading and loving Kerry Lonsdale's "Everything" trilogy I was super excited to read "No More Words" the 1st book of her "No More" trilogy and it didn't disappoint. Recently released "No More Lies" the second book of the trilogy also didn't disappoint.
Told in dual timelines this well-written suspenseful mystery is the continuing story of the dysfunctional Carson family and their dark secrets.
I look forward to the final book in the trilogy.

Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for an arc of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

I'm still thinking about this book. This book had me hooked from page one! My favorite part were the unexpected twists and turns. Some heaviness, handled beautifully. Excited to read more from Lonsdale.

If I followed my own advice I wouldn’t have read this book because I really do not like books where mums at the school gate rule the roost. Lost patience with these characters. If they are true to life I don’t ever w@nt to meet their ilk.

I think I would have enjoyed this book more if I had read the first book. I felt that I was missing some of the back story and even knowing they were the same person, the switching between Jenna Mason and Lily Carson was a bit confusing. The past has come back to haunt Jenna and her son Josh. After keeping a low profile, she has had some success with her animated character and has been offered a book deal. Kavan has asked her to marry him and life seems good until a reporter begins to investigate her past. As Lily, she survived an abusive childhood and when she found out that she was pregnant, she ran and started a new life with her son. Rumors are that she murdered her childhood friend and although unsure what happened that day, she thought he was alive when she left. When Josh goes missing, she must find him and learn what really happened so many years ago. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
