I love Kerry Lonsdale's writing. Her books are so easy to get caught up in and this novel, the second in the trilogy of "No More" had me from the very first chapter.
Her words and descriptions put me right back with this dysfunctional family and had me terrified at times!

This is a thriller with suspense all the way through, and I mean all the way through!
We are reunited with the characters from the Carson family. Each has their own troubles and guilt from their childhood to now adulthood.
This is Lily aka Jenna's story and it is a doozy! She and her son,Josh, have moved and have been in hiding for years because of threats and fear of going to prison for murder. MURDER?
This causes Jenna to lay low and relocate frequently. She needs to raise her son!
Josh is now at the age where he wants to stay in one area, make friends, and remain in his school.
Jenna agrees, but just when she feels safe? Is she?
Someone seems to know who she really is and what she is accused of doing? Now what?

This is a terrific story and I highly recommend starting with the first book in this trilogy No More Words to give you additional insight into the Carson clan!
I cannot wait for book 3.

Thank you to #lakeunion and #netgalley for this ARC and provide my own review.

No More Lies is the story of Lily/Jenna and Josh, the second installment in the No More Series. While we were introduced to them in No More Words, this story dives deeper into the betrayal, lies, and history of Lily/Jenna that have all lead the Carson family to their current circumstances. Almost everything you could want in a good story weaves its way into the book -- love, hate, friendship, betrayal, family, suspense, romance -- it's all there, from start to finish. A truly engaging read!

No More Lies is the 2nd book in the No More trilogy about siblings Olivia, Lily, and Lucas. I loved Lily/Jenna's story. The Carson siblings had an awful life growing up. Lily finds herself pregnant and alone at 16. She goes on the run and changes her name to Jenna. Jenna and her son Josh finally settle down thinking it safe to do so. When Jenna's father shows up unexpectedly, all the secrets Jenna has been hiding are being threatened to be exposed. So many twists and turns had me reading this book in one day! Even though it is technically the 2nd book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone but trust me you want to read No More Words first as it is also fantastic! Family drama and secrets, danger, and lots of lies make this book perfect! I received an advanced readers copy and all opinions are my own.

No More Lies by Kerry Lonsdale

Kerri Lonsdale has made book two in the No More series another book that you’ll be drawn to as soon as you open to the first chapter!

Jenna Mason is a good mom, the BEST mom, especially with all she has dealt with since even before Josh was born. She’s been alone with him for years, moving often, not getting too close to anyone, just to keep them both safe. It’s been hard, especially since Josh can’t know the whole story. When Jenna gets to the school, there’s a weird vibe from the popular mom group. She hears snippets and tries to ignore them, knowing she’s safe. Until one of the mom’s approaches her and asks if the rumor is true. Had she murdered a sixteen-year-old kid? Apparently, a newspaper reporter is about to break a big story. Jenna knows she needs to get away but doesn’t want to attract too much attention. Thankful for Keely pulling up, Jenna hops in her van and they take off. Keely is Josh’s best friend’s mom. And, she and Jenna are becoming friends, as much as Jenna allows anyone to know her.

Jenna is spooked. Despite being somewhat famous, no one actually knows who she is. Her editorial team makes sure of it, so who is this reporter. When Keely drives to Jenna’s house and the reporter is there, Jenna knows it’s time to move again, despite Josh finally being happy and her recent acceptance of a marriage proposal.

Thankfully her legal team is able to stop the story, but she knows that if one reporter found her, the story will get out and she cannot be found. Not after what she did.

When strange things start showing up at her door, she is spooked. She can’t believe this is happening. Then, the worst thing. Someone shows up at her door she has feared for most of her life, someone who could ruin her, threaten her and Josh’s safety, and send her to prison. How can she get away and keep Josh safe?

Perfectly written with chapters weaving between the present and the past. The past before Jenna became Jenna and she was a regular teenager, but with parents and a sibling who hated her.

How did Lily’s life get so off track?

This second installment of Kerry Lonsdale’s No More trilogy is a fabulous telling of the Carson family story from Lily’s POV. The reader gets some background info about the events that led to Lily running away from home as a pregnant teenager, changing her identity to Jenna Mason, and starting a career as an animator. This story focuses on Lily’s/Jenna’s son, Josh, who starts asking questions about the father he never knew and ends up being separated from his mom after an injury then making his way to his long lost aunt. Along the way, Lily/Jenna must deal with some dark family secrets once and for all.

This is a book you will not want to put down! Kerry Lonsdale has a true gift of creating interesting stories about multi-faceted characters. This series keeps you on the edge of your seat!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and author for the ARC of this book.

I enjoyed learning more about Jenna’s story and side of things in “no more lies”. The story quickly pulled me in and I found it difficult to put down this book.

This book is the perfect book if you just want to sit and read all day and lose yourself in a great story! Everything i read by her immediately grabs me, from beginning to end. This one took my right back to No More Words, so many different aspects of the story were answered, i could not imagine having Dwight for a "father" he is a horrible person, one very dysfunctional family, sometimes you are left thinking why did Jenna do this but considering her family life growing up it makes sense,

I really enjoyed the growing friendship between her and Kelly, she definitely needs that in her life. She also is involved with Kavan and he is good for Josh also. I really loved this book, such a great Sunday read. Definitely ready for book #3. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC!!

Thanks to NetGalley for a preview of this book which comes out later this spring. This is the 2nd in the No More Lies series which I’ll admit I wasn’t familiar with but I quickly figured things out. This one focuses on Jenna, her son and has some good suspense and twists. There is one more coming in the series and I’m anxious to see what comes next. 3.5 stars!

There is a reason Kerry Lonsdale is one of my favorite authors! Her books never disappoint. She always weaves a mystery through her books along with relatable characters, that I always feel like I have really gotten to know through the story, and this book is no different.

It’s one of those books that you can’t wait to finish to see how it turns out but at the same time, you never want it to end. I can’t wait until the 3rd book in the series comes out!

No More Lies, Kerry Lonsdale

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre: General fiction (adult), Women's Fiction.

Once more – its the 2000's, well in to it. Time to get rid of outdated wonen's fiction categories. That heading has shades of 1950's Little Housewife about it – and we're more now, much more.

So, book two. Like the first book this is twisty, just when you think one think, Kerry changes POV and forces you to look again. Its an exhilarating, gripping ride, and thankfully again doesn't end on a cliffhanger, but gives us some closure, with sets ups for final book.
What a family, and how well this shows how parents affect children, and their lives as adults. Poor Lily/Jenna. What a tragic backstory, not just for her but for Wes, for Josh, for Josh's father. Each time another bit of Jenna's past was reveled it made me look again at how we'd previously viewed it through other eyes. Their childhoods were horrible and damaging to all the children but it also made me wonder. Where their parents childhoods damaged in some way that led them to take this awful parenting role and not see what they were doing was wrong, or were they just genuinely selfish, amoral people.
I enjoyed learning more about Lily's childhood, even as I felt my heart crushing for her. Poor lonely kid, alienated from her siblings by her cruel father, with a cold, unloving, selfish mother. That she brought Josh up to be such a well balanced kid even though she was still running from her past is a testament to her parenting. Josh is a real star, again, he takes a solid part in the story and is so perfectly written. I adore that kid. It was great to see Jenna and Olivia reunited, though they've a lot of past to overcome. Lucas next, and I wonder what Kerry has to reveal about him! Perhaps next book will be titled No More Surprises :-)
I've mentioned in other books I struggle with past/present format, but some stories such as this can't be told any other way (IMO) so I suck it up and concentrate a bit harder! My issue is that with a good author I get sucked into the story and its a bit jarring mentally to then change to a different time – and characters also sometimes. My personal bad, not something that affects everyone, and its worth it for such a terrific story.

Stars: five, another book full of surprises and revelations, and roll on book three!

Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and Lake Union Publishing for an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Publishing May 10th, 2022, No More Lies is the highly anticipated second installment of Kerry Lonsdale's No More series, and it did not disappoint!!

This thrilling series follows a dysfunctional family with a lot of lies and secrets. The first book was Olivia's story, and this book is her sister Lily's story. Although the two stories are very closely intertwined, this book could be read as a standalone, or read before the first one. I recommend reading both eventually though, because some details in the story would probably be missed!! This book did a great job keeping me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't put it down until I finished it in one sitting. It is thrilling, dramatic, and quickly paced to keep you interested.

I can't wait to see how this story ties up next year!!

What a twisty ride. The Carson siblings have each had different experiences growing up in their insidious family. Lily, the youngest, ran away from home at sixteen pregnant and fearing her father and the ramifications from a horrifying event. Her son Josh is her whole world, and everything she does is to protect him. When the past comes back to stalk her, she fears for their future and wants nothing more than to protect Josh, even if it means giving up the new life she has built.
If you read book one, which I highly recommend, this book adds backstory for Josh and Jenna and expands on the horrors the Carsons lived through. I read this book in one day because I was simply not able to put it down. Kerry Lonsdale is an expert at weaving together the stories. The way she blended Lily's past and Jenna's present was perfect as is the way she blended No More Lies storyline together with the happenings from No More Words. The No More series is enthralling, I definitely want MORE! I am eager to read Lucas's story next!

I read everything by Kerry Lonsdale. She has never disappointed me in her stories. This is book #2 which hasnt come out yet (releasing May 10, 2022) and I was lucky to receive an ARC. This was my last book to read in 2021 and I couldnt have picked a better one.

Jenna Mason and her son, Josh now have a great life. Successful career, town house on the beach and she is even engaged to be married. But is all that going to go away? When someone finds out she is really Lily Carson, who ran away from a big secret she left at home.

This book keeps you turning the pages and wondering how it will end. Will she run again or stay and face her worst nightmare? Place it on your TBR list for May.....in fact, starting reading Book #1 NO MORE WORDS in the meantime. #Netgalley #ARC #fivestars #nomorelies

Kerry Lonsdale has an amazing way to capture the events in the lives of her characters you feel like you are in the room. This is the second book in the No More Series. This book is from Lilys perspective on the events of their childhood and explains how her son, Josh ended up on her sisters Olivia’s door step in the first book. It is so amazing how the same events are so very different based on the perspective of each individual involved.
Highly Recommend this series!

Excellent Book 2. This is book 2 of Kerry Lonsdale's newest trilogy, and while the timelines of both Book 1 (No More Words) and Book 2 overlap - they *do* deal with siblings, at their core - you really do need to read Words first to understand particularly later developments in this book. But this book also explains how certain situations in Words came to be as well - and it is this truly well layered storytelling that is arguably the strongest feature of both this book and this series so far. Yet again, by the end of the tale you're going to want the next one... which is a problem when you're reading an ARC nearly 6 months before publication when the author has barely *started writing* said next book. :D Truly a well told story both here individually and within the series, and I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on No More Secrets, Book 3 of this series, as soon as I can. Very much recommended.

This is book two in this series and just as good as the first one! This one centers on Jenna/Lily and the secrets she has. It’s a whirlwind of a story. It keeps you turning the pages in a rush to find out what happens. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next in the series.
Thanks to the author for the early copy

Once again Kerry Lonsdale has left me speechless . This book was impossible for me to put down. After reading the first book in this series I've been excited to read this one. I love the characters in the book and the plot kept me on the edge of my seat. I would recommend this to any one of my friends. Jenny has relocated many times and she's very successful. Josh has made friends where they live and she promises him they won't need to leave . You can feel his frustration when events happen causing a disruption in his life and you can literally feel how torn Jenny is as a mother between keeping him sheltered and telling him the truth. Definately a five star book and I cannot wait for the next one Kerry writes.

Kerry Lonsdale...... How I love your books! In book 2 of the No More Series, Jenna (a.k.a Lilly) takes us on the run with her as she attempts to live a whole new life with her son, Josh. It has been years since she has seen anyone after that horrible night Wes died. She gave up everyone and everything she knew to keep her son safe. Finding a way to earn a living, Jenna created "Tabby's Squirrel" and like that, she has a book deal and a movie in the works. With this sudden success comes the press. Her lawyer has done such a good job of keeping Jenna out of the public eye for years, but the film deal is pushing the public over the edge. Reporters are on to her, especially when she accidently reveals more about her past than she should. And like that, her past is coming after her. Josh is growing up and asking questions too. Hiding the secrets from him is harder and harder. Jenna is finding that nothing is safe anymore and everything is at risk, including her future. Jenna finds herself being chased by the past. Just when she is prepared to lose it all, the very people she thought didn't and could possibly love her, just might be the ones to save her.
Kerry Lonsdale writes the best stories. She leaves you cheering for the underdog and wanting to help them escape the life they are caught up in. Each book in the series bring to light someone else's point of view and their life secrets uncovered.
I will always recommend Kerry Lonsdale's work and will always look forward to her new adventures and well as the older ones I have yet to discover. Special thanks to NetGalley, Kerry Lonsdale, Kerry's Tiki Lounge, and Lake Union Publishing for the advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest opinion. 5stars

I don't really remember all the details from book #1. But, I think this book takes place prior to it. It was a good story; held my interest. Some parts were predictable, but I still enjoyed reading it.
