Wow this story is full of every great element needed in awesome fiction. There is suspense, tears, particularly at the ending of Chapter 40, and some laughter as well. There are incredibly tense and fearful moments and touching and heartwarming moments as well. As usual, Kerry masterfully crafted this tale! I found myself in awe of her ability to blend the arc and complex story details in such a precise way. I liked Olivia's story, and I am looking forward to the Lucas storyline in book 3, but this is going to be a tough story to top. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this Kerry! I continued to be honored by being a Tiki!

No More Lies will be released in May of 2022, and it's another great read from author Kerry Lonsdale. I was excited to read this second book in the trilogy featuring the Carson siblings, and I really enjoyed it.
Getting to know Jenna, formerly Lily, and learning more about her son, Josh, prior to his appearance in the first book of the series, gave me more insight into the secrets and lies that tore the Carson family apart. While I didn't find Jenna/Lily particularly likeable through much of the book, her love for her son, and her efforts to protect him, touched me. Understanding what I perceived as a feeling of disconnection to other characters in the book was difficult until all of her secrets slowly unraveled.
I'm looking forward to the final book in the series revealing even more of the Carson family's secrets and lies when it publishes in 2023.
Thanks to Kerry Lonsdale, Lake Union Publishing, and NetGalley for the early copy of this book.

I thoroughly enjoy any book by Kerry Lonsdale. Her writing style suits my distracted mom attention span. Whenever she writes a new story, I pick it up immediately. I read book 1 of the series when it was released and thoroughly loved the flawed characters and the story of family and resilience. I was tickled when I saw that No More Lies was available! The back story of Lily brought closure to the family’s harrowing experience. While the story is the same- only told from a different point of view, it was still captivating and engaging. A great 4 star read!

This is the second novel in the ‘No More’ series. The first novel ‘No More Words’ introduces the Carsons, a dysfunctional family of mother, father and three children, two girls and one boy. It tells the story of the children who are farmed out and sent on holiday every year, looked after by family friends. It culminates when the youngest member of the family Lily Carson ‘shames’ her upwardly mobile and ambitious parents, pregnant at sixteen and determined to keep her baby and refusing to name the father as she believes her father will be furious and may commit a crime in revenge. She is driven out of the family, a custodian of a dark family secret, and threatened never to tell her story. She starts a new life on her own, pregnant and homeless living with a charitable organisation.
Lily changes her name to Jenna Mason and delivers a baby boy she calls Josh. She is terrified that her father will come after her, so they live a nomadic life moving on regularly, hoping that her true identity will never be revealed. They are a close family of two, with Josh becoming a promising artist just like his Mum. Jenna has built a good life for them both over the years. She is in the animation business and is becoming well known. She is very private and will not allow photographic images of herself to be shared with the public.
Eventually they settle down in a house of their own with ‘to die for’ sea views, Josh is desperate to leave their old life whatever the cost, make friends and be like a normal one parent family. He is a teenager now and is desperate to have a settled family life like other boys. Jenna has made friends and has just become engaged to a lovely, caring, steady man with a young daughter. They are both enjoying their settled lives so much. It is just what they needed. Then her work brings a reporter to their door. Worse still he is closely followed by her father demanding money to keep her past under cover. An anonymous stalker also shows up determined to seek revenge for a deed he apportions to her. Her secret is out and Jenna and Josh take flight, heading for their safe haven and further support. But that doesn’t happen. Someone follows them and the worst possible thing happens, they are separated.
Everything spirals into chaos of unimaginable worry, pain and despair. I highly recommend you to read this novel. It is beautifully written with characters I have already fallen in love with in the first of the series, as well as sparkling new additions, new for this novel. I have always admired her fluid and exquisite storytelling, her brilliant characterisation, and her bulging storyboard. Her stories are emotional and written from her very heart. It’s a fast-paced and frightening story, but one of the very highest calibre. I will be thinking about this novel for many days to come and I am so glad that I read it, even more so because I have the third novel in the series to look forward to, when it is published. I received a complimentary copy of ‘No More Lies’ from Lake Union Publishing through my membership of NetGalley and in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much. These are my own opinions without any outside influences. I would describe this novel as a truly excellent and involving read. This is a very worthy 4.5* review from me.

5* On the Run Stars

This is the second book in the No More series and is Lily’s/Jenna’s story. We met her in No More Words, and I was patiently waiting to learn more about why Lily ran away.

This story did not disappoint, it was a fast-paced thrilling ride that was exciting and fascinating. Secrets and lies are abundant which pave the way for an unsafe life for Jenna and her son Josh.

I enjoyed the alternating between the past and present bringing the story together nicely. We are reunited with some of the unsavoury characters from the first book as well as new friends that were fiercely loyal to Jenna and would do anything to keep her and Josh safe.

This was another well written book which I highly recommend. I am excited to read Lucas’ book and find out what secrets he is hiding.

Jenna Mason and her teenage son Josh have been on the run since before he was born. Moving frequently and keeping to herself, Jenna was doing what she had to do to keep her son safe and herself out of prison. Until one little slip up that will send her entire life into a tailspin.

Josh was a teenager now. He wants to have roots and friends. This time when his mother realized her past was crashing into her present, Josh demands answers as to their nomadic lifestyle and the urgent need to disappear again under the cover of nightfall. Reluctantly she agrees to stay, but still does not tell him the secret of her past or the identity of his father. This time, Josh was not the only one that had ties to their current life. Jenna is engaged to a wonderful man and has begun to dream about a happy life with him, his daughter and Josh. That was until the two people she fears most began taunting her with pieces of her past. Frantic, she needs to get away with Josh, no matter what promise she made to him. But nothing goes as planned. Will Jenna go to jail for the rest of her life? Will Josh be lost to her forever?

Skillfully using flashbacks, the author shows readers why she is afraid of her past, as well as the reason she felt she had to leave her life and family. The characters become real on the pages, each of them fully developed. The fragile balance of Jenna’s life is beautifully portrayed, as well as her strength and determination against all odds to keep Josh safe.

This deliciously tangled web of deceit wrapped in the love Jenna has for her son explodes in the pages of No More Lies. It is the second book in a series by award winning author Kerry Lonsdale, but can be read as a standalone novel. I recommend reading No More Words, first which is the first book in this series, as well. Other books that I have read by this author that are not in this series, are Last Summer and Side Trip. I really loved all of them. If you are a fan of Jodi Picoult, you will enjoy Ms. Lonsdale’s books. I highly recommend this book and author.

No More Lies is the second book in the No More trilogy about the Carson family: Olivia, Lucas and Lily. Book 1 No More Words is Olivia's story and this book, No More Lies, is Lily/Jenna's story.

Olivia has been hiding and moving frequently since she ran away from her parents house at 16. She was pregnant and her parents insisted that he have an abortion but she wanted the baby and ran away hoping to hide from their wrath. Her son, Josh, is 12 and has started to ask questions about what she is hiding and why they have moved so frequently. She has even changed her name from Lily to Jenna. His questions and his attitude toward his mother are beginning to affect their relationship with each other. When she finds that someone is following her again, she is ready to move somewhere else. But Josh finally feels like they are in a safe place, he's made friends and doesn't want to move. Her agreement to stay where they are creates even more danger for Jenna and Josh and when Josh disappears, she is afraid that her worse fears have come true.

Janna has told so many lies over the years that it's difficult for her to share the truth. She is estranged from her siblings and in hiding from her parents. She is also lying to her fiancé Kavan and most importantly to her son. She's a famous animator but has hidden from the world and doesn't do any book events. Will Josh's disappearance make her face the issues from her past no matter what repercussions it causes? Will she be able to reconcile with her sister?

This book was a real roller coaster ride between the past and her current life. The character that I enjoyed the most was Josh - a young kid who just wants a normal life and to stay in the same place so he can make friends and get some stability in his life. and friends.

I can't wait for the last book in the series which doesn't come out until 2023 when all of the secrets in the Carson family should be revealed.

Thanks to the author of this book for a copy to read and review.

I couldn’t finish this book. I found the story line to be ridiculous and a lot of repetition in terms of story telling. Repeating over and over again. I usually like this author, but this just became painful to finish. Do not recommend

I really loved both Last Summer and Side Trip by this author so when I saw this title I immediately requested it...and then bam...Ooops, I did it again, I didn't read book one because I had no idea this was a series...my fault for not checking first. I was still able to enjoy this book because it focuses on different characters that the first book did. This story had my emotions all over the place with the past colliding with the present. I love books that do the back and forth like that, it makes for exciting reading. I so loved the authors writing style and her fully fleshed out characters that make you feel something for their predicament, even if it is self inflicted. I felt like I really knew these people because the writing really brought them to life for me. I look forward to reading book one and book three and many other titles by this author.

Kerry has done it again!!! I finished the book in record time; I just couldn't get enough. After reading No More Words (The first book in the series) and having Olivia's story, I loved getting the background story of Josh and Lily and what led up to Josh ending up at his Aunt's doorstep and now I can't wait until the 3rd book in the series to find out what happened to/with Lucas. Kerry has such an amazing gift for making her characters real and lovable and I love the way she weaves the stories together. I'll be going back to reread No More Words and I just can't wait to read No More Secrets!

⭐️5 Magnificent Stars ⭐️
A raw, emotional and suspenseful novel that gives readers all the feels. No More Lies, the second book in the No More series, had me ugly crying one minute to heart-racing in the next. Ever wonder what it is like to have a family play favorites with their children? Or actually display disdain with a child? If not, Kerry Lonsdale creates a well-developed glimpse into exactly what that is like, and the emotional tolls it can take to each child.
A child herself, with child, literally pushed out of her home. But that is not the whole truth behind why she left and never went back. Her parents, Dwight and Charlotte, have something to hide. Something that could cost them their freedom. And Lily overhears them discuss it. When they find out she is pregnant, Dwight holds nothing back about harming whoever the child's father. But when an innocent friend, a classmate, shows up to copy her homework Dwight concludes he is the father. Dwight instills it into Lily's head that she is the reason her friend is dead, she is a murderer. And he has it all recorded. So she runs. Runs for her life, for her unborn child's life, and to protect the ones she loves. But someone else knows that Lily is a killer, and he wants her to pay for what she has done. Thus Lily is always on the run, moving her and Josh every six months.
In Oceanside, though, Josh has made friends, attends school, and wants to stay. Even Lily has finally built a life for herself: she finally develops friendships, is in love and engaged, has a house and a booming career. But when a nosey journalist threatens to expose who she really is, Lily Carson, a killer, all that she built for herself and her son begins to fade away as she prepares to move again. But Josh doesn't want to leave, and he begins asking questions. Especially who is father is. Lily wants to tell him everything, but at the right time. The "right time" threatens her and her son's life though, and she begins to realize that everything she has built, everything she has done, was built on lies she thought would be able to provide protection. She realizes that in order to actually protect herself, Josh, and those she loves, she has to come clean and begin living a life with no more lies.
Character development was phenomenal; from two POVs of Lily (her past) and Jenna's (current), Josh, Kavan, Keely, Tyler, Dwight & Charlotte...just amazing. Fell in love with Josh, cried big fat ugly tears for Lilly, and wanted to stab the reporter and her POS father. Even at the end of the book, Lucas (her brother) is given a POV and WHAT A POV IT WAS!! Not sure if I dislike him or hurt for him, but that I will find out with Kerry's third book, No More Secrets.

Thank you to the author, Kerry, for my ARC copy of No More lies in exchange for an honest review. Such a heartfelt, tugs at your heartstrings, rollercoaster!

This one didn’t disappoint! I was ready to know Lily’s story and boy was it a crazy ride! Kerry Lonsdale takes us readers on another crazy ride with characters we all got attached to from book one. I knew as soon as I started this book I wasn’t going to stop and I didn’t. I read it in one day! You will be holding your breath until the very end and not even know where the truth lies 😏. A big thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for my early copy all options are my own.

No More Lies answered questions that I didn't even realized I had from book 1. No More Lies is Lily's story and it is filled with secrets, drama, twists, and turns. I found myself wanting to read more and more, but not wanting it to end.

The second book in the series was just as good as the first! I look forward to reading the third book in the No More series.

4.5 stars No More Lies is the second in a trilogy about the Carson siblings- the first book (No More Words) was Olivia's story, and this one is Lily's. Lily has been on the run since she was 16 and pregnant. Lies are a central theme in this book- what happens when your lies circle back to haunt you? I have to admit, I was a bit confused initially when the book went from the present day to the past- but that confusion didn't last long. Kerry has done it again- written a story that will stay with you- and anxiously waiting for the third book which will be Lucas' story.

No More Lies is the second book in the incredible No More trilogy about siblings Olivia, Lily (Jenna) and Lucas. The book brilliantly brings us back to the characters, dysfunctional family dynamics and storylines introduced in book one - Olivia’s story - and this time shares Lily’s perspective.

Lily left home at 16 - pregnant, terrified and convinced by her horrible father that she had committed murder. She fled home, changed her name to Jenna and spent 13 years on the run from her past with her son Josh. She finally settled down, believing she was safe and Jenna created a life for them both - including building a successful career and falling in love. When the past once again finds her, Jenna’s life is turned upside down. Josh has questions about her past and he isn’t willing to accept the answers she has given in the past and their safety is threatened.

As the past and present collide, Jenna is forced to make hard choices about who to trust and what to share while also facing some hard truths about her family and her past. As this story intersects with Olivia’s in book one, we are able to see things from a wide range of perspectives.

Kerry excels at creating characters that are authentic and multidimensional - you finish her novels feeling they you have spent time with people you actually know - both good and bad. This book is no exception - readers are introduced to some new characters and reunited with favorites like Olivia, Blaze, Tyler, Josh and others from book one.

I can not wait for Book #3!

I was anxiously awaiting my advanced copy of this book. I loved No More Words told from Olivia's viewpoint and now getting into the details of Lily's life after leaving the Carson house in No More Lies was a treat and gave so much more background to the disfunction of the Carson Family and the dynamic of the individual siblings. I am now anxiously awaiting Lucas's story and cannot wait to dive deeper into the family dynamic. So many secrets and misunderstandings. It kept me glued to the pages from the moment I started until I finished.

Kerry Lonsdale does it again! No More Lies had me on the edge of my seat & up all night wanting more! No More Lies was a great sequel to No More Words…I can’t wait for the last book, No More Secrets. Thank you Kerry for sharing these characters with us!

I loved No More Words and was ready to pick up the story of what had happened to Lily and Josh. This is sort of the prequel to No more words, but some parts run concurrent with that telling of their stories. This was a great read, to find out more of the family history and what has happened. I’m not sure though, that this one should be second, at times I thought it should have been the first story. But a great read anyway, and I’m glad that there’s one more to finish with the story of their brother. Thanks yo the publisher and to the author for the chance to read this great book early.
