This book overlaps with No More Words. First it introduces us to Jenna and Josh's current life until the accident that causes Josh's aphasia and how he gets separated from Jenna. I have to admit, I was a little confused at first because I knew things from No More Words so I couldn't place them chronologically but once the stories overlap, I couldn't put the book down.

I remember finishing No More Words and desperately wanting to read Lily's story...well, now I want to know what happens to Lucas in No More Secrets!!!

Thanks Kerry Lonsdale, St Martin's Press and NetGalley for this ARC!!!

No More Lies by Kerry Lonsdale is the second book in the “No More” series about the Carson siblings. The first book was about Olivia, the oldest sister. This book is where we learn what happened to Lily, the baby of the family. She disappeared one night when she was 16 after her uncaring and borderline abusive parents found out she was pregnant. She has been on the run ever since, living as Jenna Mason, with her son Josh. She will do anything it takes to keep him safe. When threats from her past start coming back to haunt her she has some very hard decisions to make. Lily/Jenna has been keeping some very dark secrets. Josh is starting to question her and the life they have been living.
I love this series! This book takes place around the same time as the first book but from Lily‘s point of view. The chapters alternate between her teen years leading up to her going missing and present day. I very much enjoyed getting to know more about Lily and what caused her to disappear and live life on the run. I definitely recommend that you read the first book before reading this. I cannot wait for the third book to come out. Thank you to the publisher, the author, and Net Galley for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This is the second book in the No More trilogy, and is from Jenna’s point of view. I enjoyed this story, and liked how the evens unfolded.

No More Lies: A Novel is the second book in Kerry Lonsdale's No More series. It can be read as a standalone, but it works so much better when you read the first book and put all the pieces together. Either way, it is incredible! Such a suspenseful, emotional, and captivating read that shows, once again, how amazing Kerry Lonsdale is.

I was guessing the whole time as to what would happen for both Jenna and Josh and there were a lot of surprises. There was a thriller feel to this novel, as Jenna was being pursued and had to make a lot of hasty decisions to keep herself and her son safe. The story had a lot of substance and kept me turning the pages, both wanting to know that they would be okay and also not wanting it to end because it was so compelling. I really liked Jenna's perspective a lot and it gave more insight into her relationship with Olivia from No More Words.

Definitely check out No More Lies this spring. I already can't wait for the next book in this series!

Movie casting suggestions (some are from my review of No More Words):
Jenna: Megan Elizabeth Barker
Tyler: Joe Keery
Kavan: Raymond Ablack
Keely: Brie Larson
Olivia: Danielle Panabaker
Josh: Owen D. Stone
Dwight: Christopher McDonald
Charlotte: Madeleine Stowe
Ryder: Devon Bostick

I really enjoyed this book. It was well written with a compelling storyline and well developed characters and good pacing. There was the right amount of tension to make this a gripping read.

When bad things happen, feeling powerless is one of the most stressful things that can happen. Just ask Lily Carson. In order to gain some control in her life, she does the only thing she can - she keeps a secret. A BIG secret. Keeping the secret not only protects her, but her child and their future. Keeping the secret means survival.

This is book two of a trilogy featuring the Carson siblings; Olivia, Lily and Lucas. When something terrible happens one foggy night on their property, each of them views the event differently. Despite reacting differently, they all agree, it shaped them into adulthood. Lonsdale has crafted three books, each one from a Carson sibling’s point of view. In book 1 readers get Olivia’s experience, in this book, we get Lily’s experience and in the final book of the trilogy, we’ll get Lucas’s experience. I love this concept. Each book in this family drama gives readers just a bit wider lens with which to view the tragedy and its ripple effects through the family.

Book two has it all - family dysfunction, suspense, tension, drama, romance, and twists. It’s fast-paced and difficult to set aside and participate in non-bookish life. I was swept up in the never-ending nightmare of this broken family. I was awestruck and dumbfounded. My pulse skyrocketed, my nails got bitten to the quick, and I read feverishly to find out what really happened that fateful night and how Lily was going to deal with the fall out. Lonsdale’s characters are always well-rounded allowing readers to understand how the events affect each of them, thereby enveloping the reader in the narrative. I cared about what happened….despite knowing minor parts of the story from Olivia’s point of view. I loved a chance to get the backstory and I’m looking forward to finding out what Lucas Carson has to add in No More Secrets to be published March 2023.

I was gifted this advance copy by Kerry Lonsdale, Lake Union Publishing, and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

I enjoyed this book told from Lilly's experience, but not quite as much as
Olivia's. I remembered a lot from No more Words but would probably have liked reading them closer together. I'll be curious what Luke's story brings to the story.

This is the second book in a series and it really helps to have read the first book. I appreciated the story being told from Jenna/Lily and Josh's perspectives, but instead of it being a continuation of the last book, it was more of a re-telling. The author does a great job of keeping you on your toes with the suspense and I look forward to reading Lucas' story!

On a side note- I loved the reference to Vampire Weekend's A-Punk on Josh's iPod!

I was really looking forward to this book as I had read the first book in the series. This story is told from Lily / Jenna"s POV. I had a hard time engaging in this story. It was told somewhat in the same sequence as the fost book h. so I found it repetitious and I knew where we were going to end up and I did not find that the story moved along quickly enough to get us there and seemed to bogged down. I lost interest a few chapters in and skimmed the rest of it.

I enjoyed the first part of this book with Jenna on the run with her son and the backstory of Lily and the past. The characters seemed very genuine.

It lost me in the last fourth of the book. There seemed too much going on and it was a bit too much to me. I never found out what motivated Murielle and Sophie. After I finished, I found out this was part of a series so maybe reading the rest in the series it would’ve been clearer to me.

Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read this book.

Book 2 in a series tends to be my make or break book for the series. This is definitely a make. It lived up to the hype and expectation that the strong book 1 set up, gave new perspective, and more information about the Carson family.

I am really enjoying the twists and turns Lonsdale has written throughout the series to keep us turning the page.

Kerry Lonsdale has proved once again why she is one of my favorite authors with No More Lies, the second book in the No More trilogy. I was hooked right from the start as we get Lily/Jenna's side of the story we were introduced to in No More Words.

I loved getting Jenna's backstory from the time she was 16 and ran away from home when she found out she was pregnant with Josh, to present day with everything we knew about her and Josh's life from No More Words. The deeper dive into the things that lead up to Jenna and Josh being separated that lead Josh to seek out his aunt Olivia in No More Words was a thrilling ride.

Even though you know what happens to both Jenna and Josh at the end of No More Words, this book still kept me on the edge of my seat as new information and secrets are brought to light, new characters are introduced, and we find out what exactly happened to Jenna in the time Josh spent with Olivia. I also liked that a few chapters are told from Josh's perspective and you get a deep dive into the accident that caused his aphasia.

I wish I didn't have to wait a year to get Lucas' story, but at the same time, I'm not ready for this series to end. Thank you to Kerry Lonsdale and Lake Union Publishing for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

"Secrets and lies..." Family...stepfamily...father...mother....sister...brother...friends...teenage pregnancy...a son...on the run...new life...new love...themes that run throughout this astounding novel written by an author who is evidently talented and gifted. One tragedy after another strikes this protagonist...this reads like a memoir or an autobiography...it is difficult to put down and kept me up late...just when I thought things would turn around for this woman, it all happened again...my goodness...how much can one person endure? The characters are likable...most of them...but then, there is the awful father...there is the horrible person pursuing her and her son for revenge...and oh my...the son...a teenager displaying the most horrible case of teenage angst...I am eager to read more from this author...don't miss it...you won't be sorry.

No More Lies is the 2nd in the No More Series that said it could be read 1st as although in this book we’re again meeting siblings Olivia, Lucas and Lily (Jenna). This book tells us Lily’s story

Lily ran away aged 15 and pregnant, terrified for her life following an altercation with her father. She managed to remain in hiding for 13 years. Changing her name to Jenna, she had a baby boy and has stayed hidden until recently a journalist reveals her identity. Her first instinct is to flee, but now Josh is 13, he wants to stay settled with his friends and school. He doesn’t understand the danger they are in.

We follow Jenna and Josh as the past catches up with her and the life she has built for her and Josh suddenly unravels with devastating consequences. Can she keep Josh safe?

We re meet Olivia from No More Words (book 1) but this story is all Jenna so not having read book one in the series really won’t affect your enjoyment. Things that Ave happened are told from Jenna (now) and Lily (then) points of view. With a few chapters told from Josh’s viewpoint.

Once again Kerry weaves a fantastic tale, with relatable characters. I loved every page of this book and while I couldn’t stop reading I also didn’t want it to end as I don’t think I can wait for the next instalment, Lucas’s story.

Thanks go to Kerry and Team No More along with Netgalley for the opportunity to read this title

Special thanks to the author for a free, electronic ARC of this novel received in exchange for an honest review.
Expected publication date: May 10, 2022
After years of running, Jenna Mason has finally found a place to settle down. Her beloved son, Josh, has great friends, and Jenna has a loving fiancée and a career to be proud of. But what she hasn’t told anyone is that her real name is not Jenna Mason- and she’s responsible for the death of a young man many years ago. When a reporter catches wind that Jenna isn’t who she says she is, the news story is quickly cut, but the damage has been done. Soon, Jenna’s friends and neighbours are asking questions, and incriminating packages are being left on Jenna’s door. As much as Josh does not want to leave, Jenna knows she has to outrun her past once more. But now that Josh is older, he will start asking questions, questions that Jenna can’t answer without putting both their lives at risk.
“No More Lies” is the second novel in Kerry Lonsdale’s “No More” trilogy. I absolutely devoured the first novel, “No More Words”, and was super excited to read Jenna’s story! Although it isn’t necessary to read the first novel in order to keep up with the storyline of the first, I highly recommend it, as “Lies” and “Words” intersect at crucial plot points.
The story is told from the perspective of Jenna (formerly Lily), the sister of Olivia (protagonist in “No More Words”), in the present and years ago when she was a young, pregnant teen on the run. We learn about Jenna as she talks about her negligent mother and abusive stepfather, her constant runs from the law and the responsibility she feels for a death that was not fully hers to shoulder, and her heartbreak only added to my emotional connection. I rooted for both Jenna and Josh from the first page, and I really enjoyed hearing Jenna’s side of things, especially after reading “Words”. Jenna’s desire to protect Josh, at any cost, was profound and emotional, and it made her a completely relatable character.
Lonsdale pulls you in from the first page and doesn’t let up. I had a hard time putting this novel down, as each twist and turn captivated my attention. The addictive and gripping action and drama that comprise “Lies” had me on the edge of my seat! The ending is completely satisfying and it provides a nice little tease as to what to expect from novel number three (which I eagerly look forward to!). “No More Lies” has the kind of readability you look for in a novel, and very few authors are able to achieve. Lonsdale sure can craft a tale, and her “No More” series is a winner!

I have loved Kerry’s No More series, and this one does not disappoint. Enjoyed this book from start to finish. Thank you netgalley for the opportunity to read and review!

I don't read a lot of series but I have read all of this authors books so far. Her characters and plots keep me wanting to get back to the story. Suspense, love, mystery it is all there.
This is the second book, in this series, but one that could be read also as a stand alone. It follows a family, who end up with quite a reputation and who are quite dysfunctional in their interactions.
This one concentrates mainly on one of the daughters, and her son, who have been on the run for quite awhile.
I really don't like to disclose too much of the story as it is one people should discover on there own.
I am definitely looking forward to the next book which I think will be the end of this series.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for a copy of this book.

Review - No More Lies
By Kerry Lonsdale
5.0 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Book number two of the No More trilogy did not disappoint!!!

No More Lies is the continuing saga of the Carson family drama & their secrets. This time told from Lily/Jenna’s perspective. Starting off with a possible murder accusation in chapter one had me hooked immediately thus making this one hard to put down!
The book is so well written. I loved the alternating chapters of past & present along with the complex characters constantly evolving… always revealing just a bit more. Lily/Jenna’s life has been tumultuous to say the least. Her quest to protect her identity and her son is proving to be quite difficult just when she thinks she can relax. Lots of twists & turns happen along the way. Just when you think you have it figured out… along comes another twist. This was the perfect book 2! Can’t wait until book number 3 comes out!!! Kerry Lonsdale is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

Highly recommended for those who enjoy a suspenseful thriller. Thank you #NetGalley, @Kerry Lonsdale, #NoMoreLies & Lake Union Publishing for the opportunity to read this ARC. My review is strictly voluntary.

Publication day 5-10-22

5 stars plus!!! Be prepared to finish his story in 1 sitting. Book number 2 introduces the story of Jenna/Lily. This story includes family drama, secrets and danger. The story weaves the narrative from book #1 to deepen the family story of the Carson siblings. As always Kerry Longsdale leaves you with a cliffhanger- I can’t wait until book #3 to hear the story of the 3rd sinking Lucas.
