I can't give this book anything less than 5 stars. It really sets itself apart from the pack with its self assessments. They are different than self assessments found in other communication books and it they help the reader truly understand his/her opportunities for growth as an effective and persuasive communicator. From there, the authors offer excellent building blocks of organizational and personal communication. This is followed up with best practices and communication coaching that is practical in nature. It avoids rhetoric and advice that sounds good in theory but means very little in practice to many of us. Whether you consider yourself a mediocre communicator or an excellent communicator, this book will likely take your communication skills to the next level.
