I love Lucy Score, but this one was a miss for me. There was so much potential but I was massively let down. The ending was super cheesy and seemed like a forced happily-ever-after that wasn’t fitting for the rest of the book.

Now this book, I can say I really tried and I was very excited to read it... but I started it a while back and I was gonna try and continue it and I couldn't. I do not even remember what it was and where I dripped off and it made me kind of sad. Hopefully in the future I can give this another chance and change this review.
thank you netgalley for the e-arc of this book.

This was my first book I read by Lucy Score and it certainly won’t be my last! This was such a fun read, especially if you are into rom-coms. I feel if I write a summary of this book I will give to much away so I don’t want to do that! I will say the will they or won’t they scenario between Maggie and Silas keeps u guessing until about the middle of the book. Most of the time in rom coms the focus is just on the two love internets. What I loved about this book was all the supporting characters! As the reader I found myself loving them as much as the main characters Maggie and Silas. There was so much to this story than just the will they/won’t they that it kept me so invested in this book! Thank you to Netgalley, Publisher, and Lucy Score for a ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I was lucky enough to read an ARC of this book and it is the 👏 feel-good 👏 summertime read 👏
It’s got found family! It’s got a pit bull named Kevin! It’s got small town! It’s got hustler heroine Maggie — aka, “I can fix that!” — and #1 golden retriever boyfriend Silas, who is convinced he’s found his future wife upon the first meeting *swoon* 🔨🐶❤️
5 stars and highly recommend ⭐️

Fun read and cute story. Enjoyed the relationship between the characters and how they developed. Made me laugh.

This was such a sweet and steamy book!! I loved that Maggie was a strong independent woman with her own business! But I absolutely LOVED Silas! He was so swoony!!

I’ve been a Lucy Score fan for a few years now, and I can always count on her to transport me to her magical destinations. Maggie Moves On was no different, placing me in the Hallmark movie like setting of Kinship, Idaho, accompanied with the hot landscaper/love interest, Silas Wright, and a charming cast of sidekicks. The descriptions of the home renovation, the land with barn and horse fountains, the quaint town- basically everything- made it so easy to picture in my head and I found myself thinking “I want to go to there!” There’s laughs and mystery and romance and I even got a little misty eyed in a couple chapters. I wanted to savor MMO, but it was such a page turner that it was over before I knew it, wrapped up in a sweet ending that I’m still thinking about weeks later.

Maggie Nichols is a YouTube/house-flipping sensation! She has a huge following who love to see watch as she brings homes back to life. Kinship, Idaho has been calling to her for years. She has finally found a reason to return. She is going to restore a Victorian Mansion to its former glory. She will need some help and that is when Silas Wright, the local sexy landscaper comes into play. Darlin’ he is hot-to-trot and not bad with animals and greenery.
While I loved the premise of this book, the pacing felt off to me. The romance seemed very insta-love. Then there was the mystery plot thrown in that seemed almost random, but it was my favorite part of the story.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advanced copy!
This was just OK. I don't tend to enjoy contemporary romance that moves this slowly.

I've read most books of Lucy Score's by now, and I really enjoy them. There's always awesome banter and steamy romance, and there's always a HEA. I like to dive into a new book of hers after reading something more heavy or angsty because it's a great palette cleanser.
This book is a fun spin on house flipping, YouTube style, which in this technology-driven world makes a lot of sense. I think we'll start to see more characters having non-traditonal careers in fiction, and I love it. Maggie and Dean are the dream team for the channel, with Maggie on camera, choosing the houses and doing the physical labor. Dean is her behind the scenes guy that keeps it all running smoothly. And then comes Silas....our sexy leading landscaping guy.
I love that the characters felt unique in this story. We have a lot of different people, with different skin colors and sexual orientations, people from different types of families, different generations. And they all came together to create a rich story of a "found family", something Maggie really needs.
I don't want to spoil anything. But just know you'll laugh at the silly antics of the pitbull named Kevin. You'll find a new book boyfriend in Silas. You'll love the mystery that unfolds with this historic house. And you'll be so happy to see Maggie get her HEA.
ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

Thank you to @netgalley for the advanced copy of this book. The review is my own.
This book made me want to find a Victorian house and renovate it. I'm a sucker for HGTV and Antiques Roadshow. This book had me thinking about both.
It was another light romcom perfect for vacation. But now I'm back to reality so my book reading will slow down.
Basically- a rom com about a YouTube vlogger who renovates houses that moves to a town to renovate a house and there is a landscaper.
This book has a fun little mystery mixed in as well and of course some drama. I did on occasion find the landscaper annoying. He's not my cup of tea but the story was still cute.

I haven't found a Lucy Score book that I haven't loved. This one was not an exception, although I'll be honest, I found the pace a bit slow. But I know how to perseve on a story and I wad paid for it with a wonderful town, found family, and even a cute dog) even though a bit more of cat person.
Another winner for Lucy Score!

4.5 STARS!
Maggie Moves On was my first *hides face* Lucy Score read!
YouTube/home modelling star meets small-town, blue collar landscaper plus a lovable dog... What more can you ask for?
Silas is more than your average small-town boy from humble beginnings, y'all. He's flirty, swoony, possessive, downright naughty, and yet a cinnamon roll.
Maggie was feisty and independent. She was also flawed at her best and you truly get to see this when she finally opens up her heart, showing all her scars.
Overall, Maggie Moves On had all the elements that you just love to read about: small-town, a bit of mystery, found family, character banter, chemistry galore, and an amazing cast of secondary characters you'll instantly fall in love with. With that being said, I need all the Lucy Score recs!!

This is my first Lucy Score book and it will certainly not be my last! Loved it! 5 stars! The characters and the storyline were top tier in my opinion!

This was an unexceptional read, definitely ok for a kindle unlimited publication, but not OMG amazing enough for more than a 3rd round purchase at most libraries

ADORABLE! What a fun, cute romance with depth. Loved Maggie & Silas and LOVED the ensemble cast - I'd definitely read another book set in this world. Will definitely recommend to romance fans!

I love Lucy Score's books and this was such a fun rom com! The MMC definitely has golden retriever energy but also manages to be super sexy and romantic. I loved the background of the home improvement show and the cast of characters were so fun

I had been looking forward to this title and was really excited when I got approved and could start to read this one. i enjoyed it alot! Thank you so much for the opportunity to read and review this one. Can't wait for the next one by this author!

Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score was such a charming, fun read that made me wish I could hang out with the characters long after the pages ended. I am a sucker for a good love story and anything HGTV, so this book was right up my alley. Determined to restore an old Victorian mansion in small-town Idaho, house-flipping influencer Maggie finds much more than she bargained for when landscaper Silas walks onto the set. Maggie is not looking to settle down, but Silas and his silly dog, Kevin, have other plans for her.
This book had me laughing and smiling and wishing for more. I enjoyed the strong characters and am excited to read more by Score.
Thank you so much NetGalley, Forever Pub and Lucy Score for the opportunity to review this title.

Mon and Rach: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Easily in both of our top five favourite reads this year. This review might seem excessively emphatic, but it is entirely heartfelt expressions of our infatuation with the romcom queen Lucy Score and her masterpiece of a novel, without any trace of hyperbole…we are 𝑻𝑯𝑨𝑻 excited about this book. As a bookstagram community we are doing ourselves a tragic disservice by not collectively (and aggressively) swooning over this book.
MMO is phenomenally well written, charming, relatable, hilarious, deliciously sexy and so sweet.
The primary plot and underlying narrative components are clever perfection - both in terms of originality and execution
We can't comprehend how her brain and creativity have the capacity to develop so many loveable characters, but THANK KEVIN she was gifted the mind, work ethic, talent and courage to use her gifts for good. The quirky and endearing cast of characters filled our hearts with joy and our surroundings with genuine laughter. The combination of found family and biological family had us falling in love with every character. We commend the way she effortlessly brings readers into the inside jokes and expertly 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒘𝒔 instead of outright 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 you about their dynamic personalities. Through her inimitable combination of character relationships, strong personalities, self-reflection, banter, compassion, maturity and significant back stories Lucy ensures you love, appreciate and understand every character. We were left feeling major FOMO not being in these group chats.
Trust us when we tell you skip the “add to TBR” step and head straight to the “add to cart and check out” step in the bibliophiles’ typical book-buying behaviour checklist, because you 𝑵𝑬𝑬𝑫 to read this dynamic, delightful, energetic, and deliriously charming romcom.
To close out this Lucy Score fan-fest, thank you sincerely Netgalley, Lucy and Forever for a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review. We have already purchased five physical copies and the audiobook (one each and three as Christmas gifts) since reading our digital ARC.
