Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC and the opportunity to read and give my thoughts on it.

When Maggie decides to make a locally famous house in Idaho the next flip project for her YouTube channel, she wasn’t expecting to find love or the family she didn’t know she needed.

I seriously could not stop smiling while reading this book. From their very first interaction, Maggie and Silas, the owner of a local landscaping company, ooze chemistry. If dry, sarcastic humor is your primary form of flirting, you will enjoy this couple. I thought the author did a great job of showing the progression from physical attraction to something more. The side characters also had some great storylines that didn’t feel out of place. You will also fall in love with Silas’ pooch, Kevin, along the way.

Also, can I just say that the spiciness of this book is just right. If I had to go on a scale, I’d say 3.5 peppers out of 5.

If you’re looking for a fun, romantic read with a touch of spice, this is the book for you.

I’ve been a fan of Lucy Score books for a while because she not only tells a hell of a story, she will make you smile till your cheeks hurt, probably laugh out loud. Plus they have a perfect amount of steam. Maggie Moves On is absolutely one of these books!
Maggie makes a living rehabbing and flipping houses with her parter Dean. They have a growing following on YouTube and life is good…especially since Maggie’s latest project is the biggest yet! This house, the town’s people and her love of her current project, has her rethinking her future. Silas bids on the landscaping for this project and takes one look at Maggie and knows she’s “it”. However, he’s got a lot of work ahead of him! Maggie isn’t the settling down type and is too busy for relationships.
The surprises keep coming and you will fall in love with this awesome couple and community. There’s even an old mystery! This book has it all. I loved it and highly recommend!

I am a one click for any Lucy Score book, and this book does not disappoint. When I started Maggie Moves On , I knew that I wouldn’t be able to sit and read it in one sitting based on my schedule. Usually with Lucy books I can carve out time and stay up late and read. Turns out I was SO happy that could savor this book over the three days it took me to read and the characters lived with me during the day.

I laughed, cried and was thrilled that this romance novel had heart as well as some nice heat.

Lucy has an incredible way of drawing you into the main characters story from the first page. Being in Maggie’s thoughts from the beginning and the little eggs that are dropped along the way just kept making the character more complex as the pages went on.

When Maggie arrives in town she is ready to flip this massive house and move on…..but Silas has other plans for her as he decides from the moment he sees her that she will be staying, and not moving on. Enter a cast of characters that are just as interesting as the main characters, a mystery in the small town, the best support dog cast I have ever read, a grumpy old man and some lost gold and this story hooked me, and I’m already ready for my second (and maybe third) read.

What should be a very simple story line (boy loves girl, girl has a past, girl wants to leave) is interwoven with details that make you feel are part of the crew helping with the construction and landscaping.

Thank you Lucy, for another great story, that makes me feel like I said some great friends.

I have been a Lucy Score fan for a few years now and Maggie Moves On has a lot of my favorite elements-engaging, relatable (and sometimes) flawed characters, a well paced story and a touch of mystery. Score characters aren’t always born into perfect families and I love how Lucy highlights how families can be chosen versus necessarily born into. I also enjoyed her venture away from the “grumpy hero” trend she gravitates towards because I really enjoyed seeing a sunny male protagonist (aka hot landscaper guy). Maggie moves on is a winner.

I have read every Lucy Score book and am always amazed with her phenomenal abilities to craft interesting plots, hilarious dialogue, and memorable characters. Maggie Moves On hits this trifecta once again and will soon be another bestseller on the Lucy Score bookshelf!

Mggie and Silas are opposites who, despite their different personalities, find themselves attracted to each other! There are lots of long looks, flirtatious banter, and sultry innuendo. Couple in a menage of diverse characters and the reader is soon thrust into an unforgettable storyline that has romance and mystery. In addition, the restoration of a "Grand Old Lady" Queen Anne Victorian mansion is a delightful addition to the story. As a reader, I thoroughly enjoyed picturing in my mind the changes and upgrades to the house as the remodel progresses.

Finally, Maggie Moves On is a loonngg book and would benefit from some fine-tuning with editing. Even so, this is one of my favorite Lucy Score reads...so far. Hopefully, it will become a series as there are several other characters who deserve to have their stories told.

I am looking forward to the final version and will definitely be adding it to my virtual bookshelf!

Lucy Score has done it again. Just when I think that she can't write another book that hits me in all the feels and makes me want to move to some random place I had never heard of, I read Maggie Moves on.

The character development though this story along with the underlying mystery makes this my favorite Lucky Score book. Just be prepared to absolutely fall in love with Kevin. I promise you will love Kevin.

Loved this novel! I am not sure Lucy Score can write a book that isn't fabulous. This novel did not disappoint. I loved Maggie and Silas. Oh my gosh, their chemistry was off the charts. I absolutely adored the dialogue and the banter. There were laugh out loud in public and just do not care moments for me. I loved Kevin the dog and all the supporting characters. This novel kept me guessing. I was sucked into this novel in the first chapter and this novel did let go until the very last page. Even then I did not want this novel to end. I love it when a novel can make me laugh, almost bring me to tears, and left me with a happy heart and a smile on my face. This novel checked all of my boxes I loved it!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for providing me with an advanced copy for review!

Maggie Nichols is a YouTube sensation getting ready to start her next big renovation project. Alongside her house-flipping partner/one man film crew, she takes the little town of Kinship, Idaho by storm. Maggie hires a gorgeous local landscaper, Silas Wright, to help on the project. Tempers and sparks fly. Silas’ dog Kevin isn’t the only one making a mess of things.

Maggie moves on is not just another fluffy book. The banter in this opposites attract romance is perfection. It had me grinning from the first chapter. There is also a sweet found family subplot that is heartwarming. I love the addition of a bit of mystery/adventure to the plot to add a bit of a twist.

There are a lot of subplots. Every character seems to have their own mini story going on in the background but the author does tie up everything nicely.

This is the first book that I have read by Lucy Score but I look forward to enjoying more of her other works.

No Lucy Score reader will be surprised to discover that she has, once again, created a cast and a community to fall in love with. I was disappointed when to read the wrap-up summary of where everyone went and what happened in their lives, because I want more, and cast a wholehearted vote for a series centering on the Kinship Community. There are more than enough seeds planted here.

I appreciate the complexity of the characters, the layers of characterization and subplots keep the story alive and engaging. I particularly appreciated the way this story give readers a glimpse into the work it takes to develop healthy adult relationships for regardless of personal backstory. I didn't want it to end, and nonetheless read into the wee hours to finish.

Ready for a quality romcom escape?? Don’t miss out on this one!

Maggie heads into Kinship, Idaho, with a dream and a plan to flip a historical house that has more secrets than you can shake a stick at! Little does she know that #HotLandscaperGuy is going to challenge those plans while helping her on a journey of self-discovery. This novel is full of everything - romance (with just the right amount of spice!), comedy, and mystery. It will keep you laughing and guessing until the very end! The characters are well-developed, and I think everyone wishes they had a friend like Dean and a family like the Wrights.

Go #MILAS!

I was so excited to see an ARC available on NetGalley for this book. I've read everything Lucy has ever published, and I'm also one to drop everything on release day to pick up Lucy's newest book. I'd been reading her teasers for Maggie Moves On and even after all of those, it totally exceeded my expectations.

Maggie Nichols moves on...that's just what she does. She doesn't plant roots anywhere and makes a living moving from town to town, flipping houses and recording her progress for her YouTube channel that seems to have a cult following. The only constant in Maggie's life is her partner Dean, the cheapskate who's in charge of spreadsheets and video editing for their successful online content.

Silas Wright is a charming landscaper who loves his small town and his complicated family. The minute he sees Maggie, he decides she's the one for him, so he lays on the charm and a $5 bet that she won't be moving on from her latest project in Kinship, Idaho. A 6'4" tall drink of water, he has the fantastic personality and sensitivity to back up his All-American good looks. In the hundreds of romance books I've read in my life, I think Silas is now in my top 5 of favorite male leads.

Despite sharing so much of her life on YouTube, Maggie is a secretive gal. Something brought her back to Kinship, and that's not a part of her life she's ready to reveal to just anyone. The Old Campbell House that she's flipping means something to her beyond a reality renovation show and making a quick buck. But does it mean enough to stop her from moving on?

As is the way of all small towns, the people of Kinship work their way into Maggie's business and into her heart. Fans of Lucy's "Mr. Fixer Upper" and "The Christmas Fix" will love this return to the behind-the-scenes look at house renovations & reality TV. Fans of heartfelt rom-coms, swoony heroes, small-town hijinks, and realistic relationships will also fall hard for this book. Underneath the surface, this book is a beautiful commentary on chosen family and fitting in, themes that surely resonated with this reader.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC .
This was different from what I expect a normal Lucy Score book to be like. It was a bit too Hallmark like for me. The book dragged in certain parts and then felt rushed in others.
I wanted to like Silas, but I feel like he was like a cartoon and not a real person.
Maggie was really lovely though and I enjoyed her back story with Dean and her family.

Maggie Moves On is not just a romantic suspense story. Author, Lucy Score, has written several subplots into one fantastic story. It is a romance but it is also a book about building a family, a huge nod to "girl power", and a mystery. This is an excellent book that I highly recommend. It’s written with such a positive vibe that it left me feeling very happy. A book that I plan to read again and again.

The lead character, Maggie, is a strong woman who is succeeding in the male-dominated field of flipping houses. Along with her business partner and best friend, Dean, they have a very popular social media channel with a huge following. Their business is very successful, but their social lives are almost non-existent. The new project is a 100 plus year Victorian house that overlooks the town of Kinship, Idaho. Maggie goes into this job with the same attitude of, all work and no play. Maggie is pretty closed off with her personal life apart from Dean. She is carrying some family baggage that keeps her motivated to succeed and to continue to move onward and upward.

And then Maggie hires, landscaping architect, Silas Wright, who is movie-star handsome, confident, smart, philosophical, and who is instantly in love with Maggie. Silas comes with a large non-traditional family that is heavily involved in his life, and he would have it no other way. Silas is a self-proclaimed, "work hard, play hard" kind of guy who is up to the challenge of making Maggie take time to smell the roses on the way to her success. Silas is the “right guy” to help loosen Maggie up, as well as becoming “Hot Landscaper Guy” to the subscribers of her social media channel.

Lucy Score is known for having a very extensive list of supporting characters that add a lot to her stories. This book is no exception to that. The supporting characters in this book are fantastic and each plays a key role in the sub-plots as well as the overall story. Those include, Kevin, the chubby, friendly, big-hearted pit bull that is Silas's best friend and who really steals the show at time in this story. Wallace, the grumpy old guy who is helping solve the mystery. Cody, a local teenage boy, down on his luck but plays a big part in this book. Dean, who is more family member than business partner some days.

As previously stated, there were several sub-plots to this story. I loved reading about the house, the process of restoring and/or modernizing it. The mystery, which I don't want to spoil, but was incredible and really added a lot to the story. My favorite thing about this book was the way Lucy Score built families.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is a must read! It is so much fun from beginning to end. I love Silas… swoon worthy aka hot landscaper guy! Maggie was all of us, smart, funny, scared, insecure, lovable and so deserved her HEA. All of the supporting characters made me want to be part of their chosen family, Kevin…. ❤️

Lucy Scores characters are so full of life, and Maggie is no different. I am the absolute opposite of DIYer Maggie, but by the end of the book I was pretty sure I could do some custom built-ins for my kitchen. (No, I can't.) That is because Maggie is so well written - a strong, independant woman with desires and passions that you can relate to and put yourself in her shoes.

I also love that the male character is not only strong and gorgeous, but has a mom for a therapist and acts like an adult! SO refreshing to see how someone without a ton of issues can be human and also swoon-worthy.

Maggie Moves On is a standalone romance written by Lucy Score, detailing the romance between Maggie Nichols, a home improvement YouTube Star, and Silas Wright, a landscaper contracted to help Maggie with her latest project. The small town in Idaho, Kinship, its many quirky residents, including standout characters, Cody and Wallace, and lovable, but trouble causing pets, round out the story. The romance between Maggie and Silas was nicely developed, with Silas determined to sweep Maggie off her feet while the independent minded Maggie was determined to keep the relationship low key. The story was funny yet emotional and included an element of mystery that combined for a great, 5 star read. Bonus points for a fun cover that captured the mood of the story. I highly recommend Maggie Moves On!

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher, and Lucy Score for the opportunity to read this ARC of Maggie Moves On!

Lucy Score nails it with this one! It's full of sass, heat, a little mystery, and a lot of love! Maggie learns what family truly means, and that there are always signs to guide you if you'll slow down and notice them.

I absolutely loved, loved, loved this book! I read it as fast as I could and was so sad when it ended. I love all of Lucy Score's books, but I think this is my favorite, favorite book. It is about a Youtube star house flipper, Maggie, who comes to a small town in Idaho to fix up an old Mansion. While there she meets landscape business owner, Silas, who decides that she is the one and does everything he can to make her fall in love with him. His family is hilarious and they all help to bring them together. This book is full of humor and of course has some hot scenes in it. Definitely recommend reading. ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review
