I love Lucy Score's books and this was such a fun rom com! The MMC definitely has golden retriever energy but also manages to be super sexy and romantic. I loved the background of the home improvement show and the cast of characters were so fun

Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score was such a charming, fun read that made me wish I could hang out with the characters long after the pages ended. I am a sucker for a good love story and anything HGTV, so this book was right up my alley. Determined to restore an old Victorian mansion in small-town Idaho, house-flipping influencer Maggie finds much more than she bargained for when landscaper Silas walks onto the set. Maggie is not looking to settle down, but Silas and his silly dog, Kevin, have other plans for her.

This book had me laughing and smiling and wishing for more. I enjoyed the strong characters and am excited to read more by Score.

Thank you so much NetGalley, Forever Pub and Lucy Score for the opportunity to review this title.

Mon and Rach: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Easily in both of our top five favourite reads this year. This review might seem excessively emphatic, but it is entirely heartfelt expressions of our infatuation with the romcom queen Lucy Score and her masterpiece of a novel, without any trace of hyperbole…we are 𝑻𝑯𝑨𝑻 excited about this book. As a bookstagram community we are doing ourselves a tragic disservice by not collectively (and aggressively) swooning over this book.

MMO is phenomenally well written, charming, relatable, hilarious, deliciously sexy and so sweet.

The primary plot and underlying narrative components are clever perfection - both in terms of originality and execution

We can't comprehend how her brain and creativity have the capacity to develop so many loveable characters, but THANK KEVIN she was gifted the mind, work ethic, talent and courage to use her gifts for good. The quirky and endearing cast of characters filled our hearts with joy and our surroundings with genuine laughter. The combination of found family and biological family had us falling in love with every character. We commend the way she effortlessly brings readers into the inside jokes and expertly 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒘𝒔 instead of outright 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 you about their dynamic personalities. Through her inimitable combination of character relationships, strong personalities, self-reflection, banter, compassion, maturity and significant back stories Lucy ensures you love, appreciate and understand every character. We were left feeling major FOMO not being in these group chats.

Trust us when we tell you skip the “add to TBR” step and head straight to the “add to cart and check out” step in the bibliophiles’ typical book-buying behaviour checklist, because you 𝑵𝑬𝑬𝑫 to read this dynamic, delightful, energetic, and deliriously charming romcom.

To close out this Lucy Score fan-fest, thank you sincerely Netgalley, Lucy and Forever for a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review. We have already purchased five physical copies and the audiobook (one each and three as Christmas gifts) since reading our digital ARC.

This has been one of my absolute favorite reads of this year. Every character has something special to bring to the table. From the beginning, I was smitten with the concept and as I kept going forward, I just kept falling in love even more with the whole story. Maggie is the most hard-headed woman on earth but with good reason, Silas is the ultimate book boyfriend and is the literal “whole package”. If you are a fan of Hallmark feel-good movies, this is the book for you. The concept of going to a small town and renovating a piece of history never fails. It was just the perfect book. I cannot wait to read more of Lucy’s books,

Maggie Moves On was one of those feel-good novels that you really need these days. Maggie, yes, she has some issues, but really Maggie is strong, talented, and doing what she loves to do. Silas (Sy) is handsome, goofy, and clearly determined that Maggie will not be "moving on."

All of this takes place in a money pit of a house with a mystery. What happened to all the gold from the stagecoach robbery in the town's history? What about the mysterious author who wrote the great westerns? The historical yet run-down Victorian mansion contains mystery, beauty, humor, and surprises for everyone involved in trying to restore her to her former beauty.

Maggie has more than met her match in Sy, and their friendship to romance is a delight. They are so well-matched, and we all can see their fate; we just have to wait for Maggie to get with the program. Once again, Lucy has written a joyful story of true love, imperfect people finding their perfect match, and rounded out with a cast of unforgettable characters. What a perfect summer read!

Maggie Moves On follows Maggie after she moves to Kinship, Idaho to work on her next renovation project. Maggie is a home renovator whose passion for flipping homes has turned her into a YouTube sensation. Working with her best friend Dean, she has gran plans to renovate the Old Campbell Place before moving on to her next project. Days after arriving in Kinship, she meets Silas, the head of the landscaping company she wants to hire. Sparks fly immediately and what starts as a one-sided unrequited love from Silas, slowly starts to build. Maggie Moves On follows Maggie and Silas, surrounded by an awesome group of supporting characters, and highlights the idea that sometimes we have to be willing to give a little of ourselves to get a little of someone else.

This one started as a slow burn, but by about halfway through the book, it started to really pick up the pace and I fell hard for this one! Great characters, lots of steam, a treasure hunt, and a full home reno were the core of this book and made it such a blast to read.

Maggie was a phenomenal character - she was funny and smart and SHE MADE SENSE!! I also loved all of the supporting characters and the ways that they supported each other. Silas was the only character who took awhile for me to really like - I did not like the possessiveness but appreciated that he learned to be more of a supportive partner. By the end of the book, he and Maggie had me in happy tears!!

This book is the perfect combination of small-town romance and grumpy/sunshine where the fact that the guy is so unapologetically the sunshine in the relationship steals the show right along with the heroine's heart.
Maggie is always busy and on the move because she's doing everything she can to not face her past and decide on her present, but landing her dream renovation job of a massive historical residence in Kinship, Idaho may just change all that. It's there that she meets not only the very hot landscaper, Silas Wright, but his entire family and a whole lot of very good people that will slowly show her that setting down roots might just be what she's always been searching for.
The story is fun from beginning to end, even when the darker elements of Maggie's childhood come into play, and the interactions between the characters are fantastic. The found-family angle of it is perhaps my favorite part of the story. I mean, even Silas' dog finds his own companions.
Overall, it's fun and romantic with a whole lot of very well done sexy mixed in to keep things interesting.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the fun and romantic read!

I really enjoyed this house flipping romance! Maggie and Silas had a lot of chemistry. I loved how the one big happy family aspect of the characters. Would recommend! Bonus- there's a dog!

Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score was the perfect late summer read for me. I instantly fell in love with the delightful house-flipping influencer, Maggie. Determined to restore a Victorian mansion, Maggie has her eyes set on the deadline and is dead-set on getting done within 4 months max. What she isn't anticipating is the landscaper, Silas, a delicious flirt who starts to really throw a wrench into Maggie's plans.

This was a quick read for me, because once I started, I couldn't stop. I absolutely loved this book and am so grateful it was recommended to me by my booksta-friend @book.sleeves.and.recipes. Do yourself a favor and snag a copy of this one! Thank you so much NetGalley and Forever Pub for the opportunity to review this title.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the opportunity to read this advanced reader copy. This honest review was based off my experience reading this eARC, which in no way biased me. All opinions are my own.

This is not my first Lucy Score book, I have loved the books of hers that I have read, so when I saw this up on NetGalley I IMMEDIATELY requested it.

This was average. It was very shocking for me not to get invested in this book but it must have not been the right time to read this. The overall plot had potential, but it fell flat to me.

I did love that this had a “he falls first” trope, I eat that shit up every time. I did not find something to relate to Maggie with and this made it difficult to get into her head. Silas read too perfect and this made him come off as robotic. The more I read the more I disliked the characters, EXCEPT FOR KEVIN HE IS PERFECT.

Overall this wasn’t a hit for me, but there are others out there that this might be perfect for.

This was my first book by Lucy Score but definitely won't be my last! I'm a sucker for a good love story where they're renovating homes and Lucy's story of you-tuber Maggie made this a fun read. Silas is fun and committed to Maggie and when I was done I only wanted more! There's even a bit of mystery to keep you going as well as crazy dog, Kevin who stole the show...he was such a hoot!

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

This one was so cute! I'm mad I put off reading it for so long, as it was the perfect fluffy read. I'll admit that I wasn't the hugest fan of Silas and Maggie together, the connection between them was weak. What I was a fan of though was the found family. Cody, the kittens, Kevin, and Wallace were adorable. This romance managed to do what few others have - interest me in a side plot. I loved the hunt for the treasure, and it's culmination was even more fun. I'd recommend this one!

MAGGIE MOVES ON is classic Lucy Score! Funny, sweet, engaging, and steamy! This book reminded ne a lot of Mr. Fixer Upper in its tone and vibe and I loved it!

Lucy Score always writes strong female characters and Maggie was a great female lead. A total badass who is a hardworking, self-made, boss with drive! And Silas is a swoony hero that I fell in love with.

MAGGIE MOVES ON is a fantastic read!

This book was really sweet! The dog definitely stole the show. It did feel a bit cringey to me - especially a lot of the lingo that was used surrounding the YouTube "show." People don't actually talk like that! It bothers me when authors use modern references that don't feel accurate. I did really love how Silas was smitten with Maggie from the beginning and that it took a while to win her over. It didn't feel like "insta-love" to me and it honestly felt pretty realistic. Overall, I gave this book 3.5 stars.

Thank you Netgalley & Grand Central Publishing for an eARC of Maggie Moves On! This was my first book by Lucy Score but certainly won’t be my last.

Maggie is a house-flipping Youtube star, prepared to restore a crumbling mansion in Idaho. She was prepared for this project, but not for the sexy landscaper Silas Wright. He and his (adorable) dog are persistent in their pursuit of Maggie. While Silas breaks down her walls, how can she stay when her entire successful career is build on packing up and leaving?

This read is quick, cute, steamy and made me laugh! Throw in a cute dog? Say no more. I loved the home renovation premise of this book, and felt the character development was really even throughout the story. I hope to see these characters again!

Romance, mystery, and a cute dog? What more could I ask for. Maggie Moves On is about a professional home renovator, Maggie, who sets her sights on a difficult project in Kinship, Idaho. Along with the struggles of renovating and pushing out content to her followers, she is swept off her feet by a local landscaper who has the cutest dog! I loved the romance in this book and how infatuated Silas was with Maggie. Such a cute couple and so likeable! The mystery bit of the story also kept me intrigued. Thank you @netgalley for my copy!

spoiler alert, I absolutely loved this book!

maggie is a home reno queen and believe me when I say I’ve spent many hours of my adult life watching anything and everything hgtv. I absolutely loved every minute of it. especially sy, the hot landscaper guy. 👀

silas wright is FLIR-TY okay. and nothing if not persistent. there was nothing subtle about this man, and while at first his forwardness kind of threw me off, I ended up falling for him too.

this book was wholesome. I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing at maggie and her crew and everything they got up to. including kevin the dopy pitbull, who was the star of the show in my opinion.

this book definitely took me by surprise but if you’re looking for a fun, wholesome romance and also love anything home renovation then this one’s for you!

special thanks to netgalley, grand central publishing and lucy score for an advanced copy of this book.

This book definitely lived up to the hype and I absolutely loved it! Maggie Moves On was my first book by @scorelucy and will not be my last! This one had me laughing out loud and cheering for all of the characters the whole way through. A professional home renovator, Maggie buys her latest project in Kinship, Idaho. With her main goal being to bring the old, huge house back to life and move on to the next, she doesn't plan to fall in love with the town and it's inhabitants, including a hot landscaper and his goofy dog. Will this finally be the house that Maggie decides to keep? First of all, I absolutely loved Kevin the pit bull. His antics had me cracking up and I was hooked from the very first chapter! Silas was also very much the 'hot landscaper guy'. I liked how he knew what Maggie needed when she didn't even know herself. I also really liked the mystery of the stage coach robbery and what happened to all the gold. This book had a little bit of everything and if you are unsure about reading it because of all the hype, do it! This one really was worth it!!! Thank you @readforeverpub and @netgalley for my copy!
