This book was so sweet. The hero is now one of my favorites and I love the diverse cast of characters.

I really needed this book! I have been reading so much mysteries and thrillers, this was a nice cute easy read! This is my second Lucy Score book and she is becoming one of my favourite authors! I love how she incorporates other characters that help carry the story. I know it's a romance but sometimes it's nice to mix in some other characters and story lines.

This book has it all Amazing dog & kitties, grumpy old man, romance, steamy scenes, family/friend struggles & love, strong female lead, small town charm & a slightly overbearing male who gets put in his place!

I highly recommend this book.

Start to finish, I loved this book. The character development was so good, even with all of the supporting characters. I felt like I was watching a Netflix movie while reading this book (It really would make a great movie, or series even). I loved the plot and while you pretty much know how the ending will go, from the beginning, there is quite a few surprises thrown in and the journey is very lovely to read. The spice scenes were perfect. Highly recommend.

Sadly I couldn't get into this one. I didn't feel the spark between Maggie and Silas so it was hard to care about their relationship. I noticed I was 95% through on my kindle and Maggie was still pretty indecisive. I love a slow burn but not like that. Lots of side plots as well, which again, made it hard for me to focus on and care about the romance.

AAHH how adorable was this book!!

Seriously what's not to love about a hot landscaper and a house flipper in a small town? The chemistry was jumping off the page. Thrown in a cute dog who acts as a foster dad to two lost kittens and a work crew of loveable characters you've got a great rom-com.

Maggie Moves On is about YouTube house flipper Maggie Nichols who comes to Kinship, Idaho with her crew to flip a Victorian mansion. It's her most ambitious house remodel to date. She thought imagined she would be in and out of town like every other remodel, but then she met Silas Wright, her laid-back, very sexy landscaper...

As you could easily tell I loved Maggie Moves On. I loved the chemistry between Silas and Maggie, which has many hot and steamy moments. I loved the comradery of Silas's family and you can feel the love that they have for each other. They quickly bring Dean, Cody, and Maggie into their fold without knowing them for very long showing their compassion for others, much like the rest of the community of Kinship. The only thing I didn't like was the end because I'm not sure we'll get another book with these characters, which makes me sad.

If you're a fan of open door romance and/or HGTV shows, give Maggie Moves On a shot.

What a delightful story this one was! I loved Silas and how sure he was about Maggie from the very start. I loved the chemistry between the two of them. Kevin was absolutely amazing and when he finds the kittens? Awww!

Wow, where do I even start with this review? This book sort of feels like 2 or 3 books all in one because of the amount of side plots. There were so many supporting characters too,, but I really enjoyed all of them.

Maggie has a YouTube channel where she travels around renovating houses. She finds herself in Kinship, Idaho renovating a Victorian mansion filled with history.

I really did like that this book wasn’t strictly a steamy romance novel. There was also the history of the house and former owners, family drama, and small town drama. I loved Silas’ family dynamics, and I thoroughly enjoyed how his and Maggie’s relationship developed.

I think the additional characters are what made this book so enjoyable for me, although at times it did feel like it was dragging on just a little too long. Overall it was a fun read with a good amount of depth.

⁣Oh man. I have complicated feelings about this book! First off, it took me almost an entire month to read Maggie Moves On. I just wasn’t interested in the story. When I did pick it up, I thought it was a cute, easy read… but man- I didn’t pick it up often. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Also- it’s a romance that is over 400 pages long! I’m not sure why, because not a lot happened?! I’d read ten pages, my eyes would gloss over and I’d fall asleep. There were a million side plots, too and I just wasn’t feeling it! ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣This was still a cute book! I’m so conflicted! The characters were likable enough, the book was spicy, and the banter was fun… I loved the small town setting and Kevin the Dog. Oh man. ⁣
⁣⁣
⁣Three stars for me, but Maggie Moves On is getting a ton of positive reviews. I’d recommend checking this one out and DNFing it if your bored! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⁣

Maggie Moves On Review

It's official, I'm absolutely in love with Maggie and Silas!! Oh, and Kevin too! How many pudgy pitbulls do you know that have wormed their way into the meet-cute in the Romance novel everyone's been waiting months for? Kevin is perfection, helping Silas (and those cherry red boxer briefs!) sink his way into Maggie's lust filled heart perhaps even before there were any emotions involved!!

Maggie is my kind of woman, and heroine, so damaged from everything life has thrown at her since she was a girl that she seems to make decisions on the fly, flipping one house after the other, leaving no room to get attached to any new people or towns because as she says "what if you have to say goodbye again?"

Silas, the Handsome Landscaper, knows from minute one that he could be in love with Maggie. Silas is ready to jump headfirst, without even knowing if the water's deep enough. But when he figures out Maggie's plans he's ready to try and do anything to convince her to stay, instead of looking within to see if this is the one case he should be packing his own bags.

The side characters in Maggie Moves On are extraordinary! It's easy to see Maggie is collecting
found family as she goes, and they are exactly who she needs. I loved seeing Silas' family surround her with their love, and watching Maggie in turn shine her love on everyone she can.

Maggie Moves On is a sweet contemporary romance with hints of a fun mystery thrown in, and a gorgeous, steamy relationship between two of my favorite characters this year! I'd give it 10 ⭐'s if I could!!

Lucy Score can do no wrong! Another super cute and fun story. A love a “he-falls-first” romance, and even better that it was a reverse grumpy sunshine. Love love loved!

This was a great, 5 star RomCom read for me!

Centered around Maggie and her Home Improvement ‘Flipping’ business, it was a perfect read for me. For years I watched all the Home Improvement show and so wanted to be one of those women that knew her way around all those big tools.

I even thought about trying to partner with someone locally to flip a house so I could learn some skills from them along the way. Never did it, but really wanted to.

So from page 1, this was 5 stars.

Then comes along a pushy but sweet romantic interest guy. I really enjoyed him but a couple of times, his possessiveness and his lack of ability to accept No was a little unsettling. If there was anything I didn’t like about this book it would be that. But I tried to take this character in the vein that they were written for a RomCom and I’ve ‘accepted it’ as ok. Sort of.

The found family is a genre I love as well so I was tickled pink by the 2nd part of the story as well.

I really didn’t want this to end and would love to see this story turned into a series!

This one unfortunately was not for me. I didn’t really feel the connection between the two leads and the male main character was too possessive and pushy for me right from the beginning. I was not a fan of how much he pushed Maggie into giving him a chance.

There was also far too many things happening in terms of plot. Between the renovations, the treasure hunt, the family drama, and all the side characters it was just a lot to keep track of.

I have seen others who enjoyed this one and I can understand why, but this did not work for me.

I thought this was a really great book. I loved all the characters and the secondary story of the Campbell family made the book even better.

This book has everything: a strong female MC, steamy object of (annoyance and) interest, strong supporting characters, unique setting, a bit of mystery and a heartfelt journey. OH! The most important element of all: adorable sidekick animal.

I was taken by surprise how much I absolutely adored this story. Maggie Moves On. The humor was spot-on. The character development was superb. And although there are a lot of characters in this story, I never felt confused about who was who ... nor did I need to re-read anything (YAY)! I know that sounds silly but I often feel I need to re-visit passages, especially when there is a lot going on and a lot of characters to consider.

For fans of HGTV-type material and a rom-rom that goes a bit deeper ... definitely recommend!

Maggie is a house flipping YouTube star that buys a house to flip in Kinship, Idaho, a place she has a small connection to. She quickly meets Silas, a landscaper she hires for the outdoor work. While I normally am not a fan of instalove, Silas and is declaration that he will marry her someday felt cute, rather than creepy. He was persistent, but also gave her space so it never felt over the top for me.

Maggie has no plans to settle down, but won't say no to a fling. But then catching feelings are involved. I enjoyed the ride as she fought through them (and not just her feelings for Silas, but the town itself).

Maggie also informally adopts a teenager, works on a mystery with a grumpy old man and hits her first million subscribers.

*Sigh*... I loved this book. It takes it's time. It was well written (especially compared to some of the other romances I've read lately), the characters were fantastic, and I loved the plot. I loved the relationships... especially between Maggie and her ex/work partner. And I loved Silas. I know some people didn't, but I thought the small town charm of him was well written. I'm usually 50/50 when it comes to small town romance, but I really, thoroughly enjoyed this one.

ARC Review:
I am calling it now, this will be the book of the ✨ YEAR! ✨ Lucy Score has truly outdone herself. When I read Things We Never Got Over, I wasn't sure she could ever top it - yet she has! Maggie Moves On is a beautiful story about tearing down physical and emotional walls, promoting self-care, and finding family (both related and unrelated). My heart soared, my jaw dropped, and my expectations were exceeded as I cried happy tears, especially at the end. I will recommend this book to everyone!
