KJ Dell'Antonia has written another winning novel! If you've read The Chicken Sisters then you won't want to miss this witty read! I read it in one sitting! I can't wait for more from this author in the near future!

Rhett is the author of a hit book called The Modern Pioneer Girl that she wrote under a pseudonym. Rhett, along with her best friend Jasmine, think it would be a great idea to have Jasmine impersonate her during a television interview. The problem is that Jasmine does a great job during the interview and becomes the face of the Modern Pioneer Girl which doesn’t really sit well with Rhett. Rhett is 40 years old. You would think she had a bottle handle on life but she is constantly getting in her own way. This is an enjoyable rom-com that will probably become a top beach read this summer. Another great book by KJ Dell'Antonia. I loved the mother-daughter relationship that KJ brought forward in the story. It was similar to my relationship with my mother. Living an unconventional life is hard and it is those that you share it with that mean the most.

I really enjoyed this novel. I will say that it is a little predictable and it reminded me of a couple made for TV movies that I’ve seen, BUT… I LOVED IT!

This was a quick read, well paced, and had interesting characters. Some of the fun animal characters added extra splashes of humor. Teddy and Brownie were adorable!

There was also a lot of great advice given in this book. It’s a story about paving your own path, being your true self, and overcoming your fears. But it is also a story about recognizing your own mistakes, apologizing, and forgiving others.
I recommend this novel!

One of my favorite novels from last year was The Chicken Sisters! I completely jumped at the opportunity to read KJ Dell’Antonia latest novel In Her Boots and it absolutely did not disappoint!

From the very first chapter, I was hooked! I didn’t even read the book description before diving— with authors I really enjoy I like the element of surprise and I am so glad I did with this gem! KJ Dell’Antonia has a real talent for writing characters that I find so relatable! I found myself invested in the characters and their journey which made this 5 star novel unputdownable for me! In Her Boots is a light-hearted read, but there is real depth and emotion packed in throughout—love that! If you are looking for a fantastic novel to put on your summer reading list I highly recommend In Her Boots! I am already so excited to see what KJ Dell’Antonia comes out with next!

I really tried to love this book but it just wasn’t for me. I didn’t really like the main character at all. I didn’t mind the writing style so maybe I will try this authors next book!

The heroine drove me nuts stopped reading halfway through. So this one was a no for me. Though I may try to give the author another try.
