This is a fun book that I would put more in the women’s section category. I really did enjoy the female characters journeys throughout the book. It’s entertaining and well written.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

“Accidentally Perfect” follows Lillian as she arrives in a small town in Maine to avoid a PR crisis at her company. There she meets Mr Grump, Caleb who is a single dad.

Love a good ‘city girl moves to the small town and saves a business’ (or in this case, the entire town!) I’m ready to watch this as a movie asap.

PS already started reading the second book, Accidentally Famous!!

This is the perfect book for certain trope lovers! You’ve got grumpy-sunshine, single dad, city girl “banished” to a small town, all combined in a cute, fun romance!

My biggest issue is a personal one. I enjoy my romance with at least some spice and this was very closed door, low steam for a romance. It was cute though and the characters were very lovable, so I recommend to those looking for a lighthearted romance.

I found this book to be just ok. There is nothing wrong with it but it just wasn't for me. I found it to be boring. I didn't feel the chemistry between the H and h.

Once again, Marrisa Clarke writes a lovely story with all the feels.
This story was such a delight to read. I laughed, cried, got angry, etc.

Lillian, a New York businesswoman, and she is on top of her game who built a company from the ground up. Very successful until a misunderstanding happened. Then she was forced to take a step back and went to Blink Maine to her sisters cottage. While there, she realized she was missing something in her life. After experiencing what she was missing, she had a hard time going back to New York. She was not happy and feeling down until........

You will want to read non stop it's that good. 4.5 star rating from me.

I give this book 3 1/2 stars.

I really liked the book but the first 42% dragged a lot and I found the main characters a little annoying and that’s why I stopped reading the book in February 2022.
I read the book as an audiobook this time and it was a lot better. Unfortunately I had the same reaction to the book as I had the first time I read it but this time I finished the book and I actually really liked all the characters in the end.

It is a really sweet, small town romance about Lillian Mahoney, who comes to the small town of Blink. She is from New York, but needs to hideaway in Blink for a while because of a faux pas that was made on live television.
She meets the grumpy hero Caleb, who is a single parent to a 16-year-old girl but she also meets a lot of the people in this small town, and she begins to fall in love with Blink and Caleb.
Blink is a dying small-town, and all the young people have fled because there’s no job offerings. But Lillian wants to change that and she starts to help the town flourish again.

I really loved that Lillian was very resilient and strong and wanted to help where ever she could. Unfortunately, in the beginning, I thought that she was a little too controlling and closed off. That’s why I didn’t like her very much. I felt the same about Caleb.
But the further I got into the book I started liking them a lot more and I started to get to know them and that meant a lot for the plot of the book.

I can recommend this book if you’re looking for a small town romance, the single parent trope, a big found family, closed door only kissing, interesting characters and some funny moments!

I got this book from Entangled publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest opinion and my voluntary review.

A contemporary romance series set in the smallest of small towns in Downeast Maine? Yes, please!

Lillian and Caleb's story start Marissa Clarke's latest series, Hideaway Harbor, off on exactly the right note. When workaholic Lillian escapes to her sister's seaside cabin, little does she know that the tiny town and its 204 inhabitants will change her life. Replacing her Louboutins with lobster-embellished rubber boots is just the beginning...

Honestly, I just loved watching workaholic Lillian learn to love the small town, coastal life. She had no idea how toxic her lifestyle was until she got to escape it for a few weeks--and seeing her panic at knowing she had to leave Blink and all of its inhabitants behind soon hurt my heart. And of course watching her and Caleb fall for each other was a delight as well--for those who care, this is a closed door romance all the way and I honestly didn't feel cheated. The buildup to them acting on their attraction was delicious, and their kisses? Perfection :)

I loved how Ms Clarke managed the HEA in the end--I was just about as much in the dark about what was going on a Lillian was, and I enjoyed finding out at the same time she did. It's a lovely gesture, and the ending will 100% have me stalking her Goodreads page to find out when the next book(s) in the series will be released. I cannot wait to return to Hideaway Harbor!

I loved the sweet small town love story! Overwhelmed city executive comes to Blink, ME and meets the local boatbuilder as well as all the townspeople. She falling in love with both him and the town, but can’t figure out how to leave her NYC company. Is there a solution to her problem?

Loved the quirky townspeople! 4 stars.

I loved this romance. Lillian is a workaholic and when her big city, high-power, high-stress job practically explodes in her face, she takes off and finds herself in a quirky small town in Maine. Blink, Maine is a small town getting smaller and could use some revitalization. It's a good thing Lillian is a workaholic, has a lot of vision, and needs a project. She slowly gets to know and love the quirky town and its inhabitants and is convinced she can help. Caleb is an attractive, grumpy, single dad who is not convinced that Lillian is right for his town. I loved their slow burn, opposites attract romance. Just thinking about it makes me smile. It's definitely a Hallmark movie waiting to happen. I"m looking forward to the next one in the series.

hanks to the publisher for a copy. All opinions are my own.

I love this book. It was so adorable and cute. The characters, the plot, the relationships...I loved it all. The only thing I wish it had was some smut, but if you want clean romance, this is your book. This takes place in a coastal Maine town and now I want to move there and hang out with the semi quirky cast of characters. It's a feel-good book and I can't wait for the next one in the series.

When I first started reading Accidentally Perfect, I wasn’t sure where it was going to take me. I surely wasn’t excepting a little town in Maine named Blink. I guess, Blink and you may miss it? But, it was the perfect setting for this story with a back-story that truly made the town and it’s residents come to life.

A cast of characters that will either have you rolling your eyes, laughing or sighing. Lillian and Caleb were either going to kill each other or fall madly in love. It could have gone either way. But the townspeople welcomed her with open arms. Especially when they found out that she worked for (with) Niles Sharpe. Befriending Amanda, Cassidy and Bethany was probably the best and worst thing she did. Then there was the wonderful Mr. McGruffy. The story wouldn’t have been the same without him.

Lillian fitting in just didn’t sit well with Grumpy Caleb. He knew she was up to something and he needed to figure it out. So, he’d keep an eye on her. He didn’t expect to find what he found under the glitz and glitter of the high heels, shiny sports car and attitude. He found a heart of gold and a woman that just may erase all his doubts about women.

Once I truly started getting into this story, I couldn’t stop. It was fun and funny. It was heart-warming and heart-breaking. It was annoying and yet wonderful. It also made me want to find my Blink, Maine and see what magic happens for me.

A wonderful story of letting go of the past, finding where you truly belong and looking forward to the future, Accidentally Perfect was perfect in every sense of the word.

Sometimes I need a Hallmark movie in book form and this delivered. Classic tropes - big business lady moves to small town and falls for single dad - and romance... what more could a person ask for?

Lillian needs to escape life; she heads to a very small town to escape social media gossip and take a break. She finds so much more. She finds a town in need of her help to keep it alive. She finds friends that she did not know that she was missing. She finds a relationship that she did not know she wanted. The hard part, leaving the life that she thought she was happy with.

I loved the small-town setting of Blink, Maine. The families that still lived there were families that lived there for generations. The stores and restaurants that were still open were run by people who know everyone and treated them like family. I liked learning the history of the town, the businesses, and the people.

The relationship between Caleb and Lillian was perfect. From the instant dislike to the growing of their feelings. I liked how Caleb’s daughter fit into their relationship and how Lillian accepted her place in Caleb’s life without question. I could picture how they would be the perfect family if they could just find a way to find happiness together.

Accidentally Perfect is a book that I truly enjoyed, I enjoyed the setting, the characters, and the story itself.

When Lillian who runs a very successful lifestyle show is sent to Maine to get away. SHe wasn't expecting it to be in a small ton where stillettos are not worn. She immediately runs into a ton of trouble and rubs Caleb Wright the wrong way. As the story builds we will find out much of Caleb and Lillian just surrises him over and over again. THis was a great read. i read it quickly as I couldnt put it down.

I really love Marissa Clarke's Animal Attraction series, so I was excited for this first book in a new series, Hideaway Harbor. Sadly, Accidentally Perfect seems to be missing that certain spark that's drawn me into Marissa Clarke's other books. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing WRONG with this book. It's a cute big city girl in a small town romance. It just wasn't very memorable. A month after reading, I couldn't tell you the difference between this and a dozen Hallmark movies I've watched. Just a little bland.
