This is such a sweet heartwarming love story. I loved all the family drama, finding yourself again, and finding real-life purpose not just work. It is worth the read.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and the publisher. This is my honest and personal review.

Sometimes I fall in love with a location before I fall for the couple – and that is especially true of Blink, Maine, a teeny, tiny town that really isn’t even a “blink” on the map but holds some amazing residents in this town that is slowly fading away into the history books. Accidentally Perfect, the beginning of the Hideaway Harbor series, drew me in quite easily and delivered a delightful romance that touched my emotions and gave me a few laughs as well.

Lillian is on the run. As a lifestyle guru, using her organization skills, driven personality, and little to no personal life, Lillian’s world imploded when the show star acted like a spoiled child and ruined just about everything. Now she’s hiding out, trying to figure out how to save anything at all when she finds herself stranded in Blink, Maine. Out of gas, no money, and definitely not fitting in with the locals by a long shot. It doesn’t help that she almost immediately makes the bad decision of making the town resident good guy pretty angry… no, a lot angry. It’s time to suck it up buttercup and do some regrouping, a bit of rethinking because this town isn’t as backward or as bad as her first impression.

Caleb has his reasons for reacting to the high-maintenance woman who breezed into Blink as if the world owed her something. That might have been his first impression of Lillian, but as time passes and he begins to see a different side to her his opinions begin to change. He’s never going to leave this small town he calls home, and he’s convinced that no matter how she’s acting right now that in time, Lillian will head back to the big city – because everyone leaves, eventually.

Accidentally Perfect is a lovely slow-burn romance, a bit of a rom-com, and certainly a story that drew me in and kept me entertained throughout. I loved this small town, the residents who are trying to keep Blink from fading away, and the ways that Lillian surprised so many with her efforts on the town’s behalf. We often don’t know what we are capable of until circumstances force us to take a good look and make some changes. I believe that holds true for both Caleb and Lillian. They were a believable couple slowly discovering the other’s “true” self, and falling in love is never, ever totally easy without some bumps along the way. I enjoyed myself in this world, and will definitely be watching for the next story in the series.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Accidentally Perfect is a small town romance featuring Lillian and Caleb. Lilian is a big city girl, owns a company and has a male "figure" for the host, who is on a forced vacation in the small town of Blink, Maine, to check out a house, but really to get away for a bit, and ends up stranded. It was cute and quaint.. Added bonus, an enemies to lovers romance, without lots of humorless, cruel bickering. Lillian is a workaholic who is the driving spirit behind a show, with an incredibly annoying guy as its face. The one thing I did like was the secondary characters in the town. They added a bit of flavor to the book,. counterbalancing the growing relationship is Niles, the horrible front man, showing up. Sparks fly all over the place--but Clarke has a humane eye even for Niles, as people get a chance to become their best selves. Caleb has a teenage daughter, who perplexes him to no end, though father and daughter love each other all the more due to his wife bailing on them--which gives Caleb a reason to be wary of smart, smoothly put together women like Lillian. I loved seeing Lillian and the teen connect, as well as the way she won over the rest of the townspeople. Just a lovely, relaxing read that left me smiling. This has hallmark potential written all over it.

Thank you to Netgalley, Ms. Clarke and Entangled Publishing for the opportunity.

This is such a charming story. Lillian’s life has been shaken and stirred. Then she meets her grumpy hero.
Many thanks to Entangled Publishing and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Accidentally Perfect is absolutely adorable. It follows the personal growth and development of a career woman taking a break in the beautiful, but slowly dying, town of Blink, Maine. While there she falls in love with so many things including the town. The characters are so likable and relatable. A charming read for those who love love.

Super sweet!! I loved this small town story between a city girl and the small town guy. It’s sweet, funny and heartfelt and it made me feel good at the end of it.

Lillian Mahoney has a lifestyle and cooking empire that includes magazines and TV programs that feature a man, Niles Sharpe, instead of her, who is the owner and creator. Niles, in spite of being the star, is an entitled man with no idea of what he’s doing, performing like a trained monkey. When it all became too much, and Lillian and Niles knocked heads over a live program, Lillian took some very needed vacations and travelled to an itty bitty town in Maine, called Blink. The name is apt, since you blink and you pass the town.

Although initially it took some adjustment, the town life, the people and the beautiful surroundings grew on Lillian and she felt the need to help the towners. Blink was on the road to disappear; people leaved, no one came in. There’s a guy who was ridiculously attractive but also super grumpy and suspicious of her motives for coming to town.

So many fun and heartfelt situations sparkle in this book. There’s Amanda, the town gossip but also party central; Roger, the town’s eccentric and rich man; Cassidy, the town’s handywoman and general fixer; Bethany and Luke, the only teenagers around; and most importantly, Grumpy Caleb, our hot guy.

I loved the slow development of the plot, loved the small town atmosphere, the kindness of those close to Lillian and their acceptance of everyone else’s quirks. The evolution of city girl Lillian to towny girl, from spike heels to hiking boots, was funny and adorable, especially after loosing the heels of two pair of stilletos. It’s a very enjoyable story about a woman intent on saving a small town, conflicted about her company, a man dealing on the bitterness of past relations, an entitled grownup toddler man, and a whole town that embraced Lillian’s mission. It was not only entertaining, but a feel good romance.

An absolutely adorable sweet small town romance. Lillian is a true city woman. She loves her life, though is so busy its hard for her to actually enjoy a single moment of it. When things go awry at the company she created, owns and is her baby she takes a much needed vacation to hide and regroup. She’s only going to be there for a hot minute right? Its a really sweet fun read with some amazing characters. Pull up a chair and get comfy and enjoy this truly lovely sweet read.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley - thank you!!

Lillian Mahoney lives, breaths, and sweats her company Living Sharpe in NYC. As the creator and woman behind the magic, she is completely engrossed in her job.

When the star of Living Sharpe has a meltdown off camera and it is filmed by the public, Lillian goes into hiding at her sisters cabin in Blink, Maine. A cozy little town of 204, Lillian has no option to stand out while she is trying to hide. Over time, Lillian falls for the local business owner, Caleb who has a past that causes him to be quite grumpy to the visitors.

As her time starts to wrap up in Blink, maybe she does not want to leave......

This story was a great read when I needed a diversion from life. It was almost a little to Hallmark movie for me, but I needed to know how it ended and would the guy get the girl.

This book is about Lilian and Caleb who isn’t looking for a relationship found love when they least expecting it. Lilian is a workaholic who in need of a sabbatical leave found herself in a small town and met Caleb, a local boat builder who think she is con artist. The tow people welcome her with open arms. But to Caleb, she was up to something and he need to figure it out.

This is a story about letting go of the past and finding the place that you truly belong. It is filled with twists and turns. I find it a lovely read, which keep me amused throughout the book. Totally Love how well the story was written.

The characters in Accidentally Perfect by Marissa Clarke had me from the very beginning. Even the annoying co-worker that screws up everything – ya, I loved him too. He was the unexpected star of the book. But not so much of a star that he takes away from Lillian and Caleb’s romance.

Lillian’s introduction to Blink, Maine, was not the best. And it set up the one conflict I just didn’t quite believe. Caleb instantly dislikes Lillian, and even though the author tried to explain why – it just didn’t add up to me. It set up the whole “I can never trust a person like that” trope, but the mistrust seemed very misplaced. I just didn’t get it.

The residents of Blink were a good mix of people. A few that you would expect to see in a small-town romance, but there were also a few fresh personalities and family histories. They were a diverse mix and seemed to genuinely care for and look out for each other. And they welcome Lillian into their community, and she finds her way to contribute and help make Blink a better place.

As a person that reads both open and closed-door romances, it didn’t even occur to me that this was closed-door until it was all over. There is so much passion and so many sparks flying between these two, that I don’t think anyone will be disappointed. This was a fantastic story, with lots of great characters and plots that I really enjoyed.

This was just the cutest! I fell in love with Lillian, Caleb, Bethany, and the whole town. Small town romances are a favorite of mine and this was heartwarming, entertaining, and an all-around good book. This is going on my wishlist because it is one I would like to re-read. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

This was way too hallmark for me. Literally, every single conflict was just resolved so simply after minimal effort. It's also completely unrealistic (I know this is fiction but it's also contemporary and I wish they had actual struggles or issues that I actually cared about). It's still pretty cute but also pretty mediocre and never that exciting or upsetting or anything honestly... it's just there? I don't even know how to explain this other than to say that it's just pretty simple and straightforward.

Accidentally Perfect is a small town romance featuring Lillian and Caleb. Lilian is a big city girl who is on a forced vacation in the small town of Blink, Maine. For me, this was just OK. It was cute and quaint, but almost too much. I kind of felt like there was nothing new here and I've read this before. I didn't really feel any chemistry between Lillian and Caleb. The one thing I did like was the secondary characters in the town. They added a bit of flavor to the book. I think if you are a fan of the Hallmark channel, you will like this one. It just dragged for me.

Lillian Mahoney has given everything to the Lifestyle show that she helped create. When the show's host throws a hissy fit, it's all over, and she is left feeling adrift. So she goes to Blink, Maine (not on purpose, that's just where she lands). She's there with no wallet, no gas, and no idea what to do next. While there, she meets a single father and his daughter. While she falls in love with the daughter, her dad leaves something to be desired. Can she makes friends and build a new life?

I had not had the pleasure of reading a Marisa Clarke before reading this book, but have become a fan. This was a fun story where city Lillian, moves (temporarily) to a really, really small town, on its last legs. Lillian and her sister Erin ran a lifestyle tv show as well as a magazine in Manhattan. Niles is the show person who Lillian basically picked up in a bar and made a star, and who acted like a spoilt brat. Lillian needs to get away, Erin had bought a small cottage at an auction in Blink, Maine, population 204, so Lillian decides to go there for some R&R. Once she gets there though, her creative mind, comes up with ideas to save the town, along with the people of Blink becoming friends and the story takes off. I so loved the secondary characters who were rich in personality and helped Lillian figure out what she wanted and needed. A fun, fun read, and actually would love to see more of Blink, Maine.

Small town romance fans will be completely enchanted by Marissa Clarke’s latest novel, Accidentally Perfect.

To call Lilian Mahoney a workaholic is surely the understatement of the century. Lilian has given absolutely everything to the hugely popular lifestyle show she helped create and although she doesn’t have a personal life to speak of, her professional life certainly keeps her on her toes putting out fires, stroking egos and pulling rabbit after rabbit out of hats time and time again. Lilian lives and breaths her job – until she loses everything thanks to an egomaniac TV host who sends her entire career into freefall. What’s Lilian going to do now?

Lilian needs a place to hide and somewhere to figure out her next move. A completely unknown seaside village in Maine could be just what the doctor ordered – if only she didn’t find herself lurching from one disaster to another. From running out of gas to stolen wallets and broken heels, everything seems to be going awry for Lilian. And as if her life isn’t already a great big mess, she manages to get on the wrong side of the town’s resident hunk, single father Caleb Wright!

Everything seems to be falling down around her ears and Lilian doesn’t know which way to turn. But as she begins to carve out a niche for herself, Lilian begins to feel like she has finally found somewhere she can call home. As everything begins to fall into place, Lilian wonders whether she might turn things around – and maybe even prove to sexy Caleb Wright that there is more to her than meets the eye…

A gorgeous contemporary romance about second chances, starting over and new beginnings, Accidentally Perfect is a heartfelt and enjoyable tale with a heroine readers cannot help but root for and a handsome single dad hero who is impossible to resist.

Readers hooked on Virgin River and Sweet Magnolias looking for their next small town romance fix won’t be disappointed with Marissa Clarke’s Accidentally Perfect.

Just last night I finished reading Accidentally Perfect by Marissa Clarke & something happened that I don’t think has ever happened before.. this author made me cry happy tears!

There’s just something about the most impossible of happy endings. Where your old life and new life can be molded into one by the most far out of reality circumstances that just moved me to tears.

I loved how a woman who’d built her business on her own from the ground up, a complete workaholic was able to do a complete 180 degree change for love. It gives you hope that maybe just maybe, despite all odds love can conquer all.

This was the first book I’d read from this author & I can honestly say that it was an instant love on my part & I cannot recommend this sweet romance enough!
