If you are waiting around because Kristen is a new author, don’t. Just buy yourself a copy and indulge. This lengthy read will leave you completely satisfied, purring like a cat who got all her milk and then some; that is what a perfectly done romance does to you!

Years (and I mean years) who, I won this book in a giveaway. I’m not sure at the time if I’d even heard of Kristen Ashley, and I had to start up a Netgalley account just to be able to retrieve the book. When I saw it was the second in a series, I pushed it to one side and never really thought about it again. Time went on and (forgetting about this book already in the deep recesses of my kindle) I found KA for what I thought was the first time. Over the next years I read the Dream Man series, the Rock Chick series, and the Chaos series. I even read and loved the first book in this series, The Gamble.

The thing with KA books is that they are loooong, and I’m not the biggest fan of long books. I prefer books I can read in a day or two, but on the same hand, sometimes you just can’t beat a KA book. She writes heroes and heroines like no one else, so while off sick this week, I finally decided to dive in and start Sweet Dreams. It comes as no surprise to me that I loved it. It had all KA’s usual addictive charm and sexiness, and I never tire of meeting the characters and families (both blood and bond) she creates.

There were a few things that annoyed me, mostly Tate’s masculinity getting in the way and making him an overbearing douche, but for the most part I really enjoyed the whole book. The murders had me on edge, I threw a few characters under the bus, convinced it was them, (I won’t say if I was right or not). It was a great (but sad) way to add some drama to a cracking romance/finding yourself read.

In the back of the book there’s a chapter of Lady Luck, the third book. I usually never read these “sneak peeks” but today I thought “what’s the harm?” Well now I’m off to go buy that book because I need to know what happens next! Hello Ty!!!

I really liked Lauren. And Tate. The length of the book was off-putting - it really dragged on - but it was good. Especially the parts with Jonas and Lauren.
