Thank you to the publisher and author for an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

Very cute romcom! Fun, quick read. Felt similar to a few other books I’ve read. I am definitely planning to read the other books in the series now though!

2 ⭐️ Hallmark Christmas story with an unlikable, childish FMC.

I received an e-ARC of this story on NetGalley in November 2021, and I finally finished in October 2022. Better late than never, right??

But honestly, I wish I didn't even waste my time finishing. You would think I'd have enjoyed this book considering it was forced proximity and light 'enemies' to lovers. However, this completely missed the mark.

Before I go further, I want to say that the premise is cute and was only enhanced by the small-town setting and winter season. I also think the author's writing style is pretty good and makes for an easy reading experience.

However . . .

I HATED Kimber, the FMC. It's been a long time since I've had such strong, negative feelings about any character, so it was a bit of a shock this would happen while reading a rom-com. But from Kimber's idiotic reasoning to her blatant crossing of boundaries, there is not a single thing I liked about her. She's just so annoying!!! She always jumps to the worst conclusions and then defends her actions in childish ways.

Also, the actual drama of the resort coming to the small town was pointless and all led by Kimber's crazed notion that the resort would destroy the town and the owners were shady. There was no reason for her to think that, and obviously, it wasn't true, so all her anger towards Mack for working on the resort and her signing petitions to have it stopped made her seem like a total idiot. Oh, and she's not even from the town!!! So why would she have this bias?? She should do her job as a reporter and gather facts before making any conclusion.

This entire story just played out like a bad Hallmark Christmas movie, and I was not about it. But if you want to read something lighthearted and cheesy during the holidays, then this might be something you'd enjoy.

A wonderfully written and witty romcom. I loved the characters and the banter. Would definitely recommend!

This was a quick, funny and sweet read.

Tropes that I enjoyed:
✨Roommates to Lovers
✨Dual POV
✨Forced Proximity

Accidentally roommates due to a mix up with bookings, Kimber and Mack now need to share a cabin. They have no other choice but to stick it through for the next 3 weeks, and this will either lead them to killing each other, or falling head over heels for one another.

I enjoyed the beginning a lot, though I did struggle a bit with the chemistry between the two, made me wish I read the first 3 books so I had more background. Half way through I found myself getting bored and skimming. The storyline generally just didn’t grab my as much as I wanted to be invested.

Overall, not great but not bad either.

This is a great acquaintances to enemies to lovers romance with a lot of humor. I will definitely be reading more Taylor in the future!

Did not get to finish reading before it was archived - but from the few chapters I did read I noticed a good amount of chemistry between Kimber and Mack... despite things getting crazy and meddlesome, there were a few moments to uh, steal a kiss or two with the enemy.

This was such a cute rom-com. I hadn’t read the other books in this series but I really enjoyed this so will be going back to buy the others. This book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

Cute straightforward ROM com. When I need a break from all the heavy reading this is the type of book I need to pick up next. Super fast read no nonsense.

Thank you for the complimentary copy Netgalley and publishers in exchange for my honest review

I love the mix up and how both parties set out to resolved it - but not really!

Omg you guys this one was so cute and fun. I enjoyed it it's told in alternating POVS between Kimber and Mack. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. It's a rom com you'll want to add on on your list. Has you rooting for the couple. Laughing and just a real good book

There's nothing better than a meet-cute and this one was hilarious. From the moment Kimber and Mack met, sparks fly and not always in a good way. But...those sparks fan the flames of attraction that lead to some of the funniest pranks and darling banter I've read about in awhile.

A mistake causes Kimber and Mack to be roommates for a vacation and when they discover they have connections and a common cause, although opposite sides of that cause, all bets are off and the games begin.

I love a story with solid characters that make me swoon. Mack is a big softie and although he needs to learn some boundaries, he stole my heart. Kimber is a little feisty, yet her passionate heart is in the right place. This feel-good story was easy and so much fun to settle into.

Content: mild romance; very mild innuendo

Cute romcom, enemies to lovers. Kimber and Mack didn’t start out on the right foot, but as they start to become friends they realize they want more, that is until she finds out his secret which threatens to ruin their relationship. Quick entertaining read I enjoyed it .

When I am in the mood for a lighthearted rom com with fantastic banter I know that Carina will deliver. Our main couple is so much fun! I love how they pushed one another’s buttons but in a sweet teasing way. It was a quick & clean upbeat read. The chemistry was well written and I just adored this couple!

I can always count on Carina Taylor for witty banter, quirky characters and some great pranks! Vacations Like This delivered all of them! In addition, she finally brought one of my favorite background characters to the forefront in this one and he was every bit as wonderful as I remember!

Just read it and find out all this for yourself!

Literally the cutest rom com read!
Definitely a quick read but so worth while. I haven’t laughed so much in a book as I did in this one for such a long time. Loved the characters!

Vacations Like This is the newest rom com by Carina Taylor and has all the characteristics I appreciate in a book by this author. She knows how to write a sweet, clean romance with fun banter and great chemistry. In this particular story, it was a forced proximity trope when Kimber and Mack end up in the same vacation rental due to a mix up. What ensues are lots of laugh out loud situations and hilarious banter between them. This is the fourth book in the series, but can definitely be read as a standalone without any problems.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this book. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This was a cute book, a very quick read. Kimber works for a small town Louisiana newspaper and goes to Colorado to investigate a resort that’s being built in a state town. She’s staying at a friends’s cabin; unfortunately it’s been double booked and Mack, a surveyor friend the same Louisiana town, comes to stay too. They’re very attracted to one another and slowly start flirting and having fun in the snow.

Kimber has tendency to blow things out of proportion, and she’s soon putting together a protest. She’s angry at Mack for doing the surveying for the resort and sees him as the enemy.
Kimber really wants to make a difference by exposing corruption but this passion means she jumps to conclusions. Mack is a genuinely good guy who’s trying to do his job.

Kimber needs to rein herself in and they need to figure out what their relationship looks like away from the vacation bubble and back in Louisiana.
The book was well written and had charming characters, but the plot was simplistic. I loved all the pranks they pulled on each other. 3 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Mehhh.. I really tried to like this book but it wasn’t for me. I love a good cheesy romance but this was beyond cheesy… I found it to be corny. The writing was choppy and distracting. I dreaded reading it every time I picked it up. Cute plot just not well executed.

I really enjoyed Taylor's previous book, Neighbors Like That, so I was excited to be approved for this one. It was a quick, easy to follow book with a well thought out story line and characters. I really enjoyed the duel POV and immediately loved where this book was going from chapter one.

Unfortunately it was just a bit meh for me. I was really looking forward to some enemies to lovers, but I never got any enemies vibes-- just a lot of lies by omission. I also felt the climatic moments were flat and boxy-- like they were only added to fluff up the storyline.

I think my biggest hurdle though was the writing style. The sentence structure was very institutional to me; written correctly but not very story telling. It felt like something that would be written to give to an English professor instead of a literary agent.

All-in-all I am glad I read the book but I won't be recommending it to my friends.
