Kimber is a journalist who is taking a working holiday in a small town in Colorado. Kimber has been tasked by the owner of the house she is staying in to investigate the new resort that is being built. When Kimber arrives she is shocked to see handsome Mack who she instantly finds attractive. Both Kimber and Mack discover that the owner has double booked them and ironically there is nowhere else for them to stay. But when Kimber discovers that Mack is working on the resort development she instantly questions her feelings towards him.

This was a fast easy read that was in dual POV. It honestly wasn't the best rom-com I've read but it definitely was entertaining enough to read. I enjoyed getting to see things from Mack's prospective as well as Kimber's and just how much their relationship changed over the span of the book. It was a fairly short read for me and normally I like my stories to be a bit longer in detail so that might be why I didn't enjoy this one as much as I thought I would. Because the chapters were short it didn't leave a lot of room for character development so it made it hard for me to connect to Kimber and Mack as a couple.

Thank you to NetGalley and Carina Taylor for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a cute, fun, quick read. I found it amusing the way Kimber tried making Mack into a villain. I wouldn't consider this a friends to enemies to lovers book because I don't think it ever got to the enemies level but overall a really fun read.

Mack, a surveyor, is sent to a small town in Colorado to supervise a team that’s paving a way for a new fancy resort. Kimber, a reporter, is sent to the same town to write an opinion piece on the locals’ feelings toward the resort.

In a silly mix-up, Mack and Kimber are double booked in the same Colorado cabin. Due to the snowy weather and remote location, no other accommodations are available. So, they end up sharing the cabin for a few weeks.

This was a quick read. I liked the short chapters and alternating viewpoints. Overall though, this one didn’t hit the mark for me. It jumped right in without a lot of character depth which left me not really invested in either of them personally, much less as a couple.

This was absolutely delightful. The plot was well-paced and captivating from start to finish. The characters were so fun and the dialogue made me laugh out loud! I highly recommend this fun and quick read. Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

I was really excited to read this one since I had previously discovered and really enjoyed world’s worst boyfriend by this author. I did like the concept of this one but there was something lacking within the characters and the story itself. Although it was a really short read, I couldn’t properly get into it so it wasn’t really for me.

Oh! This was such a fun book! It was so nice to read a light hearted but real rom-com. We are back with the Boone family! I am so glad that Taylor wrote another book about this wonderful family. Vacations Like This is the fourth book in Carina Taylor’s A Love Like This series.
Mack was a sweetheart and I was so excited to see that he was getting his own book. I loved his appearances in his cousins’ books and I couldn't wait to read his book! Mack was just as sweet as I remembered, he loved his family and he wanted to help them. I loved getting to read from Mack’s perspective. Mack was just as awesome as I had thought and I loved him! However he had to learn how to say no and to give himself some space. It was sweet to read about him opening up to Kimber.
Kimber was also a lot of fun! I loved her spunk and her kindness, she was so full of life. Kimber was really looking forward to this vacation, she never expected to be housemates with a big man who had an even bigger heart. It was fun to read about Kimber as she got to know Mack and as she restered. She had made a mistake and it was taking her awhile to get back to herself. I loved her growth as a character and reading about her interacting with Mack, they were really cute.
Mack and Kimber were such a fun couple to read about! I adore the characters in Taylor’s books and there were so many fun ones in this book. I loved their conversations and the connection they had, they looked out for each other. The plot was also very interesting, Mack and Kimber were on opposite sides on the matter of adding a resort to the place that they were in. It was funny to read about their reactions after figuring it out, but it was also sweet to read about how they still cared for each other.
Vacations like This were a sweet clean fun rom-com! I would totally recommend it! I loved the characters and the story!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

I'm not sure that I've ever enjoyed a meet cute more than this one! Vacations Like This is a true Romantic Comedy. I literally snort-laughed about a million times in this book. Both Kimber and Mack are so lovable right from the start. It had everything I love in romcoms, and best of all, there wasn't some huge drama that didn't make sense. I won't spoil anything, but I loved Kimber's character arc. The whole book just makes you feel happy.

- Laugh-out-loud humor
- Sizzling kisses
- Really fun banter
- Bagels
- Funny pranks
- Fast paced plot

Read this book! You'll love it!

This is the first time I've read a book by Carina Taylor, and definitely won't be the last time! I enjoyed every moment of Vacations Like This and it had me in stitches several times.
Mack was refreshing, and Kimber was very funny. The pairing of those two made for a perfect sweet and light story!

The story
Kimber is a journalist who is taking a working holiday in a small town in Colorado. She’s been asked by the owner of the house she is staying in to investigate the new resort that’s being built in the town. When Kimber walks into her kitchen and burly Mack is checking out the contents of her fridge, her polite nature wins out. Turns out the house had been double booked and there is no where else to stay. The two start off being attracted to each other, then enemies when Kimber discovers Mack is working on the resort development.

My thoughts
I read the first few chapters of this story when the author shared this in her newsletter recently and was so keen to read more! The relationship between Kimber and Mack develops in such a cute way, I love the dual POV and how Mack is amused at Kimber’s quirky personality, even when she is fuming at him. I really enjoyed this fun read - it’s a definite thumbs up from me!
