These books are always a fun read! Love the whole pirate immortal angle, and the psychic stuff is cool too. Pirate Caleb is the navigator for the pirate crew, who finds himself meeting psychic Diana when she needs someone to take her to coordinates she’s been dreaming of. Caleb has been having dreams too and something is affecting Savannah, so these two are on the hunt for some solutions to solve their dreams and help save Savannah. An interesting adventure ensues! Plus, there’s the sweet and steamy connection between Caleb and Diana! Loving this series!

Loved Caleb and Diana. There was lots of adventure while they were out at sea. And plenty of steam too. I don't remember Caleb being this grumpy in the previous books but I still enjoyed it. Lots of fun!

Caleb is the crew's resident navigator and has noticed that the tides of the Atlantic are not behaving as they normally do. On top of that, he's also having vivid dreams of sailing through a terrible storm. And when he meets Diana the electricity between them is something he's never felt before.

Diana happens to be a psychic., and after a few vivid dreams herself she makes her way to the ship looking for the pirate she helped during the crews' last adventure. Her dreams are leading her to specific coordinates. Caleb isn't thrilled at the idea but the crew outvotes him in favor of helping Diana out.

When they take a moment to talk about her visions and his dreams they come to realize that both are connected to the lost city of Atlantis.

That's so much to the author, Entangled and NetGalley for this ARC to review.

Love Caleb and all his little quirks. I found it hilarious that he is a mad purchaser of gadgets seen on infomercials. He is a man of science and doesn’t believe in magic even though he is an immortal. It was heartening to see him slowly change his mind after he meets Diana. Love this series and I will be sad when the last book is written

I have read the last three books of this series and they just keep getting better! Although this one was not my favorite (that still belongs to Greyson!) I was still captivated and thrilled to take this newest adventure with the immortal pirate crew of the Sea Dog.
There are so many little gems and quirks that the author throws in each book about the guys. In this one, we get to know more about Caleb and quickly find out that he loves buying things seen on TV. The ship's navigator and resident science buff is having reoccurring dreams turn nightmares. He rejects ideas of magic and things that cannot be explained by science but when a lovely psychic asks for the crews' help, he realizes that perhaps the paranormal may exist more than he wants to admit.
Caleb and Diana fall almost immediately for each other but must put aside their physical and emotional wants in order to battle what might lay under the Atlantic. This is a sweet romance where the two must confront their pasts in order to be truly together. It was a nice read and will have you believing that the paranormal world truly does exist.
No dislikes to note, editing was clean, writing is very strong. Highly recommended.
I received an advanced copy in exchange for my review but love this series so much I would gladly buy it.

Pirate's Paradox is the sixth book in the Sentinels of Savannah series by Lisa Kessler. A story full of twists and turns that is sure to keep the reader on the edge of their seat and leave them wanting more. I can't wait to read more from the Sentinels of Savannah series and the author.

Diana Williams, practices healing magic. Caleb Graves is immortal. Both are having strange dreams. Caleb is the navigator for The Sea Dog and found something disturbing. A tsunami-like storm seems to be heading to Savannah from the middle of the Atlantic. Their dreams lead them on a voyage that binds them to a key. A key that will change their lives for
a future. I do not read a lot of paranormal books, but this one actually was better than I expected.
VERY STEAMY.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Pirate’s Paradox by Lisa Kessler
Book 6 of the Sentinels of Savannah series. Paranormal romance. Can be read as a stand-alone but better read as part of the series.
Caleb believes in science and has many doctorates behind his name. But he can’t explain the magic behind the Holy Grail. Or why he’s now dreaming of the Lost City of Atlantis.
Diana has lived with magic her whole life. Getting Caleb to suspend his stance on science will take some persuasive arguments.

The next exciting immortal pirate episode. This time they head out to sea in search of the magic of Atlantis. Poor Caleb. Science does not explain everything in this world. It was fun watching him move from all science to just accepting. His love of gadgets is adorable.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was creative, steamy and fun. It held my interest and I didn't want to put it down. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is book 6 in the Sentinels of Savannah series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as other books by this author.

PIRATE'S PARADOX by Lisa Kessler is book 6 in the Sentinels of Savannah Series. This is the story of Diana Williams and Caleb Graves. I do think you will enjoy this series better if you read them in order. Caleb has been using the stars and his navigational skills to get him and the crew sailing but now they have been placed in the modern day where he meets Diana. Diana has been lead by her dreams and her spiritual knowing to come to the private ship to gain access. Both come together to solve a mystery going on with the sea and because they can't seem to stay away from each other. Enjoyed this book.

This is the second book I've read in this series and I really liked it. I'm loving the immortal pirates and their escapades. Caleb and Diana are opposites. He believes in science, she believes in visions and magic. Some how puting these two together works. While reading this one, I'm unsure how I feel about a certain character. They don't seem very trust worthy. I guess time will tell.

Psychics, danger, romance, adventure, steam, and immortal pirates...this story has it all and more! Once I started reading, I didn't want to stop (who needs to work when there's books to be read?). I absolutely loved Caleb and Diana. They felt so real and interesting and like people I would wanna know. And their chemistry!! Off. The. Charts!
Highly recommend.

Many thanks to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for an advance copy of this book. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor or expectation.

Caleb Graves believes that nothing can not be solved without logic and numbers. Yes, he's an immortal pirate, hundreds of years old but still has a problem with "woo woo" things they deal with helping out Dept 13!

Diana Williams is Graphic Designer to trade but had inherited her Auntie's Botanica. She also has a bit of psychic talent. Her first meeting with the Sea Dog's navigator is a bit frosty, to say the least, but can they really overcome their complete opposite natures to find love?

Brilliant mix of Paranormal Romance, Atlantis (Yep, it makes an "appearance"), and possibly some alien interference. I loved that Caleb wasn't your average hero and his slight addiction to QVC makes so much more adorkable! Sleepless nights and funny dreams ensure these two have a dramatic start to their relationship!

Be aware that it would seem that our friendly pirates may have some contemporaries of theirs hanging around in the shadows about to cause trouble!

I received a copy of this book from the publishers, Entangled Publishing, via NetGalley and this is an honest review, left of my own volition.

This is a fun, insta-love, paranormal romance. If you are looking for a quick and easy read with some fun paranormal elements that tie into some of the great mysteries of our world this is a fantastic option. Lisa Kessler's writing is quickly engaging, fast paced and full of humor and emotion. The romance is sweet and low angst and the insta-love element plays well into the paranormal and mystical elements of the story. This is the sixth book in the Sentinels of Savannah series and it is the first book I have read by Lisa Kessler. While being deep in the series, I still found this story to be easily digestible and I did not feel lost in the world. Kessler is clever by making each story standalone-able through quick explanations of the situations (by having the heroine be in a new readers shoes), as well as crafting paranormal elements in a world that resembles our own.

This paranormal mystery strongly revolves around the love story between Caleb-an immortal pirate, a navigator and a man of science and Diana-a psychic and spirit guide. They both find that they are interconnect through dreams that hint at a disruption in the Atlantic ocean which Caleb is picking up on unusual tides which specific coordinates. These coordinates makes Caleb and Diana think they are linked to the lost city of Atlantis.

This novel starts off with a bang, we are quickly introduced to our players and the dire situation that they find themselves in. Caleb might come off a little grouchy at first but this quickly fades as the instant attraction between him and Diana take hold. Caleb and Diana quickly learn to work together and respect each other. I love that Caleb is in a way a "virgin" type of hero. Caleb has not been with a woman since he was still human. So Caleb can be a bit awkward and scientific when it comes to his courtship of Diana. I love that Diana is strong and knows what she wants. I love that both Caleb and Diana feel such a strong pull to the other that they don't hesitate to put themselves at risk when it comes to saving the other. You dive hard into the insta-love and because of this we have a nice handful of sensual scenes between Caleb and Diana. I really love that these scenes are about trust, respect, consent and protection, and I love that Caleb is able to embrace all these modern ideals as he explores a physical and emotional relationship with someone else (which he has not experienced in hundreds of years). The true focus of this novel is on the romantic relationship between these two but Kessler also weaves in some mystical elements from our own past while giving it a gentle paranormal twist. I really enjoyed this it was fun to have some interesting elements to enforce the strong working relationship the pirate crew has as well as the working relationship that Caleb and Diana are able to establish.

Overall, a fun and lighthearted paranormal romance with a low angst, insta-love romance to carry along the story. This is the perfect quick read if you are looking for something that is pure entertainment that will keep you interested the entire ride.

Book 6 in the Sentinels of Savannah, Pirate's Paradox is a great next addition in the series. Caleb and Diana are engaging characters and the story is entertaining full of magic, mayhem, and romance. I look forward to reading what this author brings out next.

Pirate’s Paradox is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful addition to the Sentinels of Savannah Series by Lisa Kessler. Science mates with mysticism in this story of Caleb and Diana. If you put aside the fact that the navigator of the ship is immortal and focus on the fact that Caleb Graves bases everything on science what you find is one sexy nerdy Pirate. Boy do I love this guy! Diana Williams will too though it is just an attraction at first. She is a psychic who finds out she has been having some of the same dreams as another.

They have such a lovely relationship building in the story when surprising twists and turns take place. Such a compelling read that kept me glued to the book. Caleb and Diana are a favorite couple of mine now along with Pirate’s Paradox. This series just keeps getting better!

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Unfortunately I started the Sentinels of Savanah Series with book #6, so clearly I was missing some details that would've helped me the characters and the past references of battles, loves and other immortals.

I'm sure there are fans for this series, but this novel was NOT for me.

Thank you Entangled Publishing for the complimentary copy of Pirate's Paradox.

When science fails, will he accept his legacy…

I love this series, everyone of the couple is a perfect match, and this new one does not disappoint.

Both are two people who have been hiding in plain sight for a long time. Using their need for work, knowledge to avoid any heart entanglement.
Caleb having been lucky to love once, never searched for more. Happy to improve his learning. Yet he is quite a paradox, as he is a all science man, denying anything magical, still it is a spiritual artifact which granted him eternal life.
Diana was born from a long line of women with a connection to the beyond, and while she accepts this side of herself, she wants more, to blend with the actual world.
From their first encounter, sparks fly and their chemistry is up the charts.
And while their fight the pull at first, because of the challenge for them of being an item, they never lie, they are honest with one another. They share their past hopes and present dreams.

Their romance is really sweet, as they stand for the other.
On the global scheme, I had some upset times, with some of the side characters keeping informations on hold, it is sure to blow on someone’s face sooner or later.
4.5 stars

Thank you to Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for an e-ARC of this book!
I loved the modern take on pirates. I thought it was fun that it was more focused on today's world with the addition of fantastical elements like magic and prophecy. I thought the romance was sweet and Caleb and Diana complemented each other nicely. I might have been missing pieces since I haven't read the other books in the series, but I would have loved more background on Diana and her ancestors as well as some more of Caleb's past. Other than that, it was a fun and quick story

There is a LOT going on in Pirate's Paradox. Immortal pirates. Psychics. Portentous dreams. Storms at sea. Lost cities. Secret government departments. Aliens. Oh yes, and also romance. Pirate's Paradox is part of a series, and there is clearly more going on in the background of the story that will play into that. Which is really saying something given how much else is going on just in this book...

I found it a bit difficult to get into the story, but it was quite fun once it got going. I am always quite fond of the scientist/skeptic-meets-psychic pairing, but they got past the skeptical phase very fast, and were largely on the same page for most of the story. For me, there was a lot of insta-love and not a lot of tension, which was a pity.

Overall, this was a fun read once I got into it, but it doesn't inspire me to seek out the rest of the series. However, I suspect that the combination of tropes that I listed up at the top of this review are going to be someone's catnip for sure - hopefully this review will help them find the book.

This series just gets better and better. Caleb is an immortal pirate who is the navigator for his ship, the Sea Dog, while being a college professor with three PhDs. Everything can be explained with scientific. Diana marches on to the ship stating she needed to be taken to a place in the ocean that matches the coordinates that she dreamed. She claims Drake owes her a favor.

This is a wild sea voyage with several surprises. Caleb and Diana begin to bond which will be needed to resolve the dreams they are having and save Savannah.
