Such a great story! I recently found this author, Bella Osborne and she has fast become one of my favorites. Each book I read by her is different and I am amazed by her creativity!

Recently, she has released two more serious books, but this one is back to her “lighter” romance style. I love her quirky characters and their interactions. In this book, Ella, who is kindness to a fault, has her life in a definite change pattern. She is a seamstress, which is a career she loves, but is working for an unappreciative boss. Her recent romantic relationship has ended and she also has family issues which have popped up.

I have total faith that Ella will come through at the end of this tale a heroine. This is Part 1, and it does end with a cliffhanger. If you are like me, and cannot wait for the total book to be released, then you can read the book in four parts, and have the enjoyment linger. I know I will be thinking of Ella and trying to figure out the rest of the story while I wait for Part 2 to be released. (Release dates: Part 1 May 25, 2022, Part 2 June 8, 2022, Part 3 June 22, 22, Part 4 July 6, 2022 and the Full Book on October 11, 2022)

I want to thank Avon Books UK and NetGalley for giving me the immense pleasure of reading the advance reader copy, with no obligation to write a review. My review is written freely as a hobby, and is totally my own opinion, not influenced by receiving the ARC.

Thank you to Avon Books, Netgalley, and Bella Osborne for a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

As per usual, I got completely sucked into this first part of this story and finished it in one sitting. When I reached the end I was gutted because I am so incredibly curious as to what was going to happen next (nothing like a cliffhanger haha.)

The characters in this story are just normal people. There are three girlfriends (FINALLY A BOOK WITH A VETERINARY NURSE IN IT!!!!) who have vastly different occupations and life paths, and their bond is tight, fun, and one to strive for. I think each are relatable on one way or another, and they’re really likeable characters. Pirate is, of course, my favourite character in this book (you’ll have to read it to figure out who/what he is!!!)

I will most definitely read the other parts of this story and cannot wait to do so!!!!

This is part one of a four-part (I assume!) serialisation. As it’s a serialisation, the parts are only short reads, so be prepared for cliff-hangers at the end of each part. I have read many of this author’s books before, and have loved them all, and this one looked and sounded right up my street! We get to meet Ella, who’s a seamstress in a Bridal shop. She’s so good at what she does, but she works for Wanda, who is the worst boss ever! Her love life is lacking somewhat also, and when a blind date ends up in mistaken identity, she meets Kit who mysteriously shares a common bond with her!

My lips are sealed as to what else happens in the book! Even though it’s such a short read, there is a lot packed into those pages and I wouldn’t want to accidentally reveal any surprises! Ella is a lovely character however and I really connected with her from the very beginning! I was in awe of her skills as a seamstress and how easy she made it look altering styles and shapes of the beautiful dresses in Wanda’s shop. Ella’s best friends Lucy and Brittany are as equally likeable as Ella is and I found myself laughing out loud at their antics throughout the book! The author’s writing is so clever, with so much humour in it that you can’t help but be hooked into the storyline very quickly!

Being the first part of Ella’s story, the author has done a fabulous job setting the scene for what looks to be a wonderful series. I love a storyline which is easy and fun to read, captures perfectly the essence of what it’s all about and leaves me wanting more at the end. As with these serialisations, you do get left with a cliff-hanger, and I was a tiny little bit disappointed that I had to leave Ella’s story there when I just wanted to carry on to the end! BUT…it gives me something to look forward to when part two is released and I will just have to learn to be patient!! This was such a delightful read, which I absolutely loved! Would definitely recommend!

Part 1 definitely grabs your interest! Obviously nothing is resolved, but the main plot points are well established and the characters are all interesting. I'm hoping the situation involving Ella's dad is not what we think and that there ends up being some sort of twist there - mostly because I don't know how Ella would bounce back from that kind of family betrayal. I like the way Kit encourages Ella to consider different options for her career - he barely knows her and is already offering her support. I definitely want to see where their relationship goes in other parts of this story. And of course I can't wait to find out what happens next for Ella at work. I'd also really like to see if Lucy gets a chance at a real romance/relationship.

A Wedding at Sandy Cove: Part 1 by Bella Osborne

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to NetGalley and Avon and I am leaving this review voluntarily

This will be Ella’s eighth time down the aisle…

Ella has made it her mission in life to find every bride in their dream dress.

But every time she sends one of her happy customers off to the altar with a perfect, ivory silk gown, she thinks of those seven, hideous bridesmaid dresses hanging in her own closet.

She’s about to add another one, too, because her best friend’s wedding is now only months away. And this one, in a muddy shade of brown, might be the worst dress yet.

Bella is releasing this book in four bite size chunks, so this is a review of just the first part. It is a light-hearted read making for an ideal summer holiday read. A lovely introduction which showing great promise for the rest of the book as it is slowly released. This is only a short novella and is easy to read in less than hour. I am now patiently awaiting Part 2.

I am only marking this down from 5 stars as I don't like how the book is released in four parts - for me it feels strange finishing the 'book' but not knowing the ending.

Rating 4/5

While I love the concept of this 4-part series, how am I going to wait for each to come out? After reading this first one, I'm completely in love with it and need more. There are so many delightful characters in this, some sticky situations, and at least one villain. Bella Osborne has become one of my favourite go-to authors. Looking forward to more instalments!!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

This....is a really funny and interesting story. But it just STOPS. Right in the middle. Bella is a fantastic rom-com author who writes amazing stories, so I"m not sure why this is just a Part 1....most folks would want the entire book.

Hard to rate as it's just part of a book. Despite that it was engaging and I look forward to reading the next part.

I really want to read all of this book, as it is so good!

Ella works at Frills, Frocks and Fairy Tails, which is a wedding shop. Her boss, Wanda is a nightmare and keeps bossing Ella around and putting her down. Apart from that, she loves her job as a seamstress, adjusting and fitting wedding dresses. She has lovely friends called Lucy and Brittany, who help her, and who are always by her side when she needs them. Through her Dad, she meets a man called Kit, who she gets on well with. I am excited to see what happens with him. She has a cute cat called Pirate, who is adorable, and who loves Kit, so hopefully Kit turns out to be a good guy.

I was only given the first part of this book, which is about 25 percent of it, and I loved it a lot. I can't wait to read part 2! I am intrigued to find out what happens next! Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Hard to rate as it's just 25% of the book and ends a bit abruptly. That said it's a good start and I will definitely be reading the rest.

A lovely quick lighthearted read featuring an out of luck regarding love wedding seamstress Ella, Ella works at a bridal shop for her awful boss Wanda, her friends are constantly telling her that she needs to stick up for herself as she is being taken advantage off, they also try to fix her up on dates with varying success!
Would love to see how the book continues, how Brittany’s wedding goes, what becomes of kit and Ella’s investigations and if Ella decides to branch out on her own!
Thank you netgalley for this early read.

A quick, easy and adorable read that I read in one sitting, I couldn't put it down. I am really looking forward to the rest of the novel.,

A delightful quick read (this is part one of the book) - I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of this book and finding out what happens to Ella, Lucy and Brittany, whether Wanda gets her just desserts, how Kit and Ella's relationship goes, and will the bridesmaids really have to wear brown?!?! - I don't want to say too much because of spoilers but Bella Osbourne never disappoints - her books are always wonderful with fabulous, believable characters that bring a smile to my face.

Aarrgh. I was really engrossed in part one, waiting and hoping Ella was going to take control of her life when part 1 abruptly ended. When is part 2 going to come along? I can’t wait to find out what happens.
I love the characters.(except the horrific Wanda of course ) and think that Pirate the cat can see what Ella clearly can’t. Please release part 2 soon !!

Ok, they got me on this one. When I read it was Part 1 - I figured it'd be a whole story, with each part being a different character. Umm, nope - it's 85 pages of a story and then an abrupt stop mid-story. Wham - now you've got to wait. When does part 2 come out?

It's a great start but disappointing it stops so suddenly. The characters are relatable and interesting and it's a good storyline. I'll be watching to see when part 2 comes out. How many more parts are there before the book is complete?

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

Great story, lovely characters. Sadly, I was just getting into this book and enjoying it greatly when it came to an end. Can’t wait for part 2.

What a lovely, quick read it was, a great and promising beginning to the series. I usually don't read books when they're published in parts, waiting patiently for the whole story to come out, but sometimes you need something short, right.

Ella, our main character. Oh, trouble! There is a lot of self - work before her and I hope she's going to develop some backbone. On the other hand, this shyness or rather insecurity and allowing others to bully her end in brilliant conversations and banter - there is light and humour and sharpness in our Ella and I can't wait to see her blossom. Really, the banter between her and the enigmatic Kit is absolutely the best and even the exchanges with Wanda, even though Wanda is a real bully - queen, are so funny!

There is also Ella's best friend Lucy and there are some chapters told from her point of view, so I'm introgued what's her story and what she has in store for us.

It was a warm, funny and light story already touching upon some more serious issues and I'm intrigued how it's going to develop. Already looking forward towards part 2.

A funny and sweet story about a young woman who is seamstress at a wedding shop . Her best friends set her for a blind date . When her date is 30 minute late and she is considering to leave she meet a strange man . They have something in common and they work to find the truth .
I received this book from net galley and the publisher as an ARC. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

You cannot go wrong with a Bella Osborne read!

Ella always the bridesmaid never the bride, who also works in a wedding dress shop with awful boss Wanda.

This is part one only and full of dramas already looking foward to reading the rest of the book.
