April Mayson has been working hard on her career as a real estate agent. When a call comes in to find a home for the man who shared her first kiss, April decides she'll keep things together and be the professional woman she can be. Too bad Maxim Kauwe couldn't care less about her plans. Maxim is as alpha as they come. A strong, gorgeous, and sexy beyond words man, he knows what he wants and will stop at nothing until he gets it. With his focus set on April, Maxim will become April's lover, protector, and happily ever after if it is the last thing he does. But with a few secrets of his own, April's famous ex, and a serial killer on the loose, April just might prove to be more than he bargained for... A sexy new romance by Aurora Rose Reynolds. While this is the first book of the Until Series I've read, I must say I'm hooked. Aurora surely knows how to write her stories with compelling twists and turns and way sexy men. Definitely recommend it!

April’s experience when it comes to love is much different than the rest of her family as while they found the person who made them the center of their life when it came to her ex, she never felt like she played a starring role in his life. She is dedicated to her career as a realtor however she never expected her new client to be the boy she shared her first kiss with.

Maxim is a successful businessman who is looking for a house in Tennessee which brings April back into his life. He was enchanted by her from their first meeting and is determined to show her that they were meant to be together but first they need to deal with her past and the danger in the present.

Maxim was patient, protective, possessive yet understanding as he showed April that she could trust him with her heart and that all he needed in his life was her. The narrators were primarily in April’s point of view but the few chapters we got from Maxim’s point of view made the story even better.

This is my first from this author and series. April, a strong smart women who is fully capable of taking care of herself. Maxim is back in town and reconnects with April. Their romance goes zero to speed racer in seconds. Maxim is a strong personality and likes being in charge of…everything around him. He does everything within his power to protect April and along the way they find their way to forever. Its a short sweet listen with enjoyable narration.

This was okay for me.
The romance was insta-lust/insta-love which didn’t really bother me too much. As long as the chemistry between the characters is there I’m game for insta-love.
My main problem I had with this story was that too much was going on for such a short story. I think this should have been longer so everything didn’t feel rushed.

ok so in fairness to this book... apparently its #10 in a series to which I have not read ANY of them so I have a feeling that is part of why I did not like this, but I really had a lot of issues with this book:

- the couples hook-up in first 5% ... like WHY???
- extremely rushed story line and like idk why there had to be a serial killer on the loose and a jealous ex-boyfriend who was out to win our heroine back? like it was just A LOT and yet not of the story lines felt completed? Like 80% of the way through the book I was like... what's going on with the murders??
- I really didn't like Max (our hero) - even though I like a good alpha male, but this was just ANNOYING.
- I didn't really believe in their relationship - it was all just physical chemistry and I felt no real feelings!

Blahhhhh

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for giving me the opportunity to listen to this ALC in exchange for an honest review.

4/5 for the story.
3/5 for the narration.

I really enjoyed April and Maxim’s story. It was very enjoyable and the fact that it was low angst is always a plus. The ending was really sweet.

As far as the narration, both of these narrators are new to me. Laura Jennings, is very good as April. Her emotional range is great. Sebastian Grove on the other hand took me a while to get used to but at the end I enjoyed the narration.

I love Aurora Reynolds ‘Until’ series and the insta-love formula really works for me. This one was good, and I loved that it was April’s story, but honestly the suspense plot was kinda like what? I honestly felt like their was too much going on for such a short book.

I had read this book when it was first released and I absolutely loved it. So I was ecstatic when I was given the opportunity to listen to the audiobook. The narrators, Laura Jennings and Sebastian Grove did such a wonderful job bringing April and Maxim to life.

I have been waiting for April’s story for a while now and I was always curious who she would end up with. I loved that he ended up being April’s first kiss when she was 16. April’s heart skips a beat when she remembers Maxim Kauwe, who happens to be the son of Myla and Kai from the Underground King series, and their kiss. But now seeing him as a man, she was not prepared for the intense spark of attraction. The feeling was definitely mutual. It was full steam ahead from that very first night of their reunion. Maxim knew exactly what he wanted, which was April, and he bulldozed her into his bed and immersed himself into her life. April still had a little bit of baggage from an ex and now there is a serial killer in town murdering her co-workers, but Maxim is there for her 100% and refuses to let anything happen to her.

A majority of the book was through April’s point of view but also the little bit of Maxim’s POV especially how intense his feelings towards April was added so much more to their story.

Until April is book 10 in the next generation Until Her/Him series and is still going so strong. And it was wonderful to meet up again with both April and Maxim’s families. Overall, I loved the instalove we can always count on and amazing characters that you can’t help but fall in love with.

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for giving me the opportunity to listen to this complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

I received an audio version of this book. I had already bought the kindle version, but jumped at the chance to listen to this narrator and she did not disappoint.
April and Maxim knew each other when they were 16. Her first kiss and then he was gone. Now after a breakup and rebuilding her life stronger than ever, she being a real estate agent helps Maxim look for a place when he comes back to town. Add in a little murder mystery and an over protective Maxim. I did enjoy this book. It was predictable and I did enjoy the previous characters in the book.

I received this ARC through #netgalley and I am voluntarily reviewing this book

Thoughts : I received this ALC in exchange for an honest review. This book was steamy, and that was enjoyable. Drama filled . HOWEVER the alpha male was SOOOO possessive it was just TOO much and almost made me uncomfortable to listen . There was no push back to it , like what !! A man you haven’t seen in years is suddenly bossing your around and you just go with . I don’t think so !!! #untilapril #aurorarosereynolds #netgalley #dreamscapemedia #alphamalebookboyfriend #alphamaleromance #audiobookstagram #audiobook #goodreads

So here's the thing about this book - you have to like Alpha male's and this style of book. If you don't - you won't be happy. But if you do - this is a great read.

April is from a large family of very strong women (all named after their birth months). They have had more than their fair share of drama - but there is a lot of love in their families. Despite that, April still doesn't have much in the way of trust for men. So - when she reconnects with Maxim, her first kiss (which was a doozy), even though he immediately changes course and pushes his way into her life - she isn't ready to extend that trust easily.

Maxim is a steamroller of a guy. When he sees something he wants - he goes after it. And when he sees April again - he goes after her. Despite April's doubts on the matter - it is clear to pretty much everyone (even without seeing things from Maxim's perspective) that he's already put them together as a couple. April is pretty much the last person to figure that out.

I adored how this book was structured - it is primarily from April's perspective. In fact at one point I even wondered why the author bothered to tell us the chapter was from April's perspective - if they were all going to be from April. But the chapters that are from Maxim - were only the chapters that really needed to be from his perspective - which is completely and totally in line with his character. He only talks and shares when he needs to - no more, no less. Completely in control at all times.

Overall - I loved it and it makes me want to go back and read all of the other connected books (I've only read a few here and there). You definitely don't need to read all of the other associated books to read this one either.

I listed to the Audiobook version of this book and enjoyed it a LOT.

I received this as an Audio-ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

This was my first book by this author. I had a lot of trouble finishing this book. I love the narrator, but the story was just tough to get through. In my honest opinion, there just wasn't really much story there to begin with. The hero and heroine had a "insta-love" that wasn't super believable to me. Maxim was kind of possessive, and I just didn't really connect with either of the main characters. I don't think I'll be reading any more books by this author. Huge thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this audiobook.

5 out of 5 Stars

Until April is book 10 in the Until Her/Him Series. I really enjoyed Until April and can't wait to read more books in the series. I loved April and Maxim.

This was a great read by Ms. Reynolds. I liked that the couple we’re together from the beginning and that there wasn’t much angst between them. There was more drama outside their relationship though. A very entertaining audiobook..

This was just an okay listen. Definitely some steamy open door scenes which I enjoyed but the overall plot and characters fell a little flat for me. It lacked the emotional depth I enjoy in the best love stories. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my ALC.

ARR is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite authors. She is probably my most re-read author. Until April falls within that category as well and with life being so busy I love being able to listen to this fantastic story. Maxim and April's story hooks into you from the beginning and I love that they have a slight history with each other.

Regarding the audio part, I liked it. The narrators were easy to listen to and I felt they spoke it how I read it. I will say, I'm a fan of JT Geissinger's' audiobooks where there is a volley between the characters when having conversations between each other. I liked the dual POV alot. I also love the animation/inflection that the narrators provide in those and think that ARR's stories deserve that type of delivery. They are such great romance reads!

All in all, I enjoyed everything and can't wait to listen to it again and again!

This couple was awesome. April is a very strong heroine but didn't come off as too strong. Sometimes the strong heroines won't let a man do anything for them and that's not what you get with April. She just knows what she wants and isn't a push over. I think she handled Maxim great. Even when she wasn't so unsure of their relationship, I liked how she handled it all.

Maxim was just plain hot. I'm a sucker for those intense bad boys who are also gentlemen. That's Maxim. He was a bit secretive but not to a point that you wondered if he wasn't all in. I always felt he was completely into April.

This is probably one of my top favorites in the series. I also listened to the audiobook and the narrators were awesome. I highly recommend the audiobook.

I listened to the audiobook of this from NetGalley. I haven’t read anything from this author or this series before but this can be read as a standalone so I figured why not. I didn’t love this but I didn’t dislike it either. Spicy romance with an alpha hero and a no b.s. heroine. I literally lost count of how many times they had sex so like if that’s what you’re here for you got it. Can’t say that I will seek out any other books in the series but I’m not mad that I read this either.

Another series I'm dropped in the middle of but it appears these are completely standalone (thank goodness). This is definitely a second chance story with April and Maxim. April is a local relator and Maxim (who was her first kiss) is back in town looking for a building for his business and a new home. He wants April and with her helping him find a place, he is also hoping she finds something she likes too. However, her ex is back in town making waves and has all the crazies out. On top of that relators are being murdered. A romance and a mystery in one. Definitely enjoyed this one. Oh, and it was smokin' H-O-T!
