I really liked this book! Such diversity of styles, and the joy that exuded throughout the text was so much fun to read. It got a bit clunky with the rhyme scheme but the illustrations are too cute!

Such a sweet little book celebrating Black hair! Great book to help normalize our hair and help little Black girls embrace the hair they were born with, but also educate non-Black girls too.

This is a beautiful, sweet book celebrating the diversity of natural hair. The illustrations of different hairstyles are lovely, as is the message that natural hair is beautiful in any state. Some of the rhymes are a little bit awkward and could use some editing. But the intent of the book is wonderful.

This book could really use another editor's pass. I noticed several grammar issues, particularly with comma usage. The rhyming is stilted and feels forced on many of the pages.
That said, this book is great for celebrating natural hair and the different styles. I think it would have been nice to mention some of the history of natural styles, but I understand that that doesn't really fall within the scope of this book.

Thank you to the author, BooksGoSocial and NetGalley, for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the premise of this book, and the way it explored hair styles and what they express - and that all styles belong in the "beautiful" spectrum. The only thing that grated on me were the illustrations, in particular the round-eyed urchin look which IMO is emblematic of the problematic (to me) disneyfication of illustration and definitely should not be encouraged.

Such a cute little story about how we should celebrate as how we are born with. Such stories bring confidence to kids about their appearance especially when it comes to curly hair (like our character's here).

The book with its amazing colourful illustrations give such joy while reading it. It gives a body positive effect on the reader.

Thank you, author/artist and the publisher, for the advance reading copy.
