Enjoyed listening to this one on Audio, the narrator is excellent. Wonderful characters with great personalitys , you can feel the love brewing between Brian and Melanie, though there are obstacles in the way of starting a sweet romance, if you like light reads at Christmas time this one is perfect!

Jingle-Bell Jam (River's End Ranch #32) was a good read by Pamela M. Kelley. Bryan Baker is a kind man with a weakness for sweets. He has found himself turning to comfort food and focusing on his job to forget about his recent breakup. He injures his back, and his doctor/brother makes him see a personal trainer to get in shape. Melanie is his personal trainer and he thinks she's great. He would have never guessed that someone like Melanie would ever look at him twice, but she does. Unfortunately, his ex Amy, is a new member of the gym and reminds her that it's against rules for staff to date clients. Melanie then hires Bryan to design her house, and he is reminded that he has the same policy for his clients. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

I love all of Pamela Kelley's books, this one included!

Bryan likes the sweets

Melanie is the trainer

He starts working out with her, then starts working his feelings for her

She has said that it's against company policy to date clients

She hires Bryan to design her house and her feelings

However, it's against his company policy to date clients as well.

I really love that this book features a hero who struggles with body image issues and insecurity. This may be the first romance I have read that does deal with that. I thought the main characters were mature and really kind and I liked the cast of characters that make up the friend group and town. I didn't love the fact that this is a romance with no sex and I didn't love the subtle references to everyone going to church. The thing that really knocked this romance down a star for me was the rush into an engagement and marriage at the end. I felt the hero and heroine had only been dating for like 2 weeks and got super serious super fast. I guess that's nice and Christmassy, but it really pulled me out of the story as unrealistic.

I was given this ARC audiobook from @netgalley but just had a chance to listen to it. This was your typical sweet, extra…extra fluffy Christmas Hallmark type book. The Narrator, Leslie Howard was good and the storyline was cute.

Jingle Bell Jam by Pamela Kelley

3/5 🌟

This is a great Hallmark romantic tale for Christmas. I listened to this one and the narrator did a great job at bringing the innocence and wonder of these characters to life. 🔔

This story follows Bryan a recently single man in his journey to the gym and then meeting and getting to know Melanie the trainer. These two should not be together due to their working relationship but as they get to know each other things click. The only drama comes from some bad reviews at the gym so Melanie needs to be extra sweet and creative to drum up business to keep them open. 👟

There is no big twist and the love story ensues pretty quickly. I did enjoy the sweet theme of this book and how wholesome these characters are. The flow is steady and the characters have a little development however I don’t think this story needs much of that since it is just more a feel good book.

The descriptions of the holiday town and snow fall makes this book perfect to get into the holiday spirit. ❄️

Brian is a local man who loves sweets. He DR brother tells him to start working out. Brian goes to the gym where newcomer to the city, Melanie has a job as a personal trainer. The story is about the two of them meeting and falling in love.
A basic form of a Hallmark Christmas movie.
Thanks NetGalley for the advance copy.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advance audio copy of Jingle Bell Jam. Pamela Kelley has written another feel good small town romance. On the advice of his physician brother, Bryan joins the local gym. He is pleasantly surprised to find the very pretty and new in town Melanie is his personal trainer. Melanie hires Bryan to design and build her new lakeside house. Sparks fly but their professional relationships prevent them from dating. Of course, romance wins out! This is a sweet and uplifting Christmas read/listen. The narrator has a very pleasant voice and the book flows smoothly.. The book is short which makes it perfect for the busy holiday season!

Jingle Bell Jam was just okay for me. I didn't realize that it is part of a series of books, so I felt a little lost and really struggled to enjoy it. Bryan is needing to get in shape so he hires a trainer, and I am sure you can guess what happens. It is predictable and the ending seemed so rushed to me that you didn't really get to see the relationship evolve. So maybe if you knew all the backstory your would enjoy it but for me it was just meh.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley or the audiobook.

This is a cute not rom com, but sweet romance, between Melanie and Bryan. I listened to this on audiobook, and the narrator did a great job. I feel you definitely need to read the other books in the series, because it seemed like you should know what is happening with everyone/ thing already in the book. There is a little back story, but I was still a bit lost.

Part of this book takes place in a spa which is described as tranquil and relaxing. The same could be said for this lovely, gentle, story. No loud bells or whistles, no artificial conflicts to drag the story out endlessly, just a nice, well-constructed tale about two people falling in love when neither one expected to. The actual jingle bell jam is a dance held every Christmas for the town, where neighbors get together to raise money for charity and enjoy each other's company and some lively dancing. The narration was perfect, and I believe this is a story that will be enjoyed by many during the holiday season for years to come. I caught at least one dreaded misuse of I instead of me, and one thread was left a bit unresolved for my tastes (regarding a secondary characters pregnancy), but all in all Jingle Bell Jam is the perfect, short, holiday romance.

This was just an ok Christmas story. Guy falls in love with his gym trainer. He has reservations since he is her client and she is his client since he is building a house for her.
It does have HEA but all the romance was in the last 20%. And once they started dating, the relationship flew at an ungodly rate. It was just hard for me to believe. Like I said, not bad per se, just meh.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Keep listening for the wonderful author’s note!

This story is exactly what we love about a Hallmark Christmas Story with an added bonus- a COMPLETE HEA! The epilogue was exactly the wrap up we all crave after that together forever kiss!

Narration was soothing and easy to listen to. The story flowed between both his and her viewpoints, while easily giving a full picture of each scene.

I received a publisher’s copy of the story via NetGalley. I am sharing my honest review because I truly loved this story!

This was a fun, very quick Christmas book. It is a novella, so it is short. Everything gets tied up very nicely in the end, although it is somewhat unbelievable how fast things happen for the couple. Overall it was a nice Christmas book when you need fun and fluffy.

Bryan loves sweets and when he injures his back, his doctor suggests he lose some weight and see a personal trainer. Melanie is the new physical trainer at a high end gym. She is pretty and very nice so Bryan does not believe she could ever be interested in him. Melanie enjoys encouraging his training and finds that she enjoys being with him. This is a great book with wonderful characters. Melanie is supportive of the new gym and spa, finds ways to promote its services, and quickly becomes a part of her new community. This is a great Christmas story to put the reader into the holiday season. Kindness and love abound.

What I didn’t know when I started this is that it is book number 32 of 63! So, if you like to read a series from the start, you may not want to jump in with this book like I accidentally did. That said, I didn’t feel like I missed so much that I was confused, left out, and/or that jumped into something blindly (though technically that’s sort of exactly what I did). You are more than able to read this as a one off or start right here, but it may just make you want to start back at the beginning so that you know who some of the characters are more intimately by the time you get back to this one. Moving on now though…
In this book, you get to meet a builder/architect named Bryan Baker who is a really nice guy. He really loves his sweets and it’s very possible he’s been over indulging just a bit ever since he went through a breakup. When he throws his back out one day while lifting up holiday turkeys, his brother the doctor gives him quite the lecture and sends him on his way with a prescription for a fitness program.
He joins the gym and meets Melanie, a very pretty and very friendly personal trainer. He’s instantly attracted to both of these qualities but figures she’s just way out of his league. However, Melanie is just as instantly attracted to him and really wants to get to know him better but what she doesn’t know is that his ex, Amy who happens to be a new gym member herself, pointed out very quickly to Bryan that it’s totally against the rules for staff to date clients.
Since Bryan has a similar policy and Melanie hires him to design her new home, well, the situation just seems completely impossible. However, Jacyln, another of Bryan’s clients who apparently talks to invisible fairies (and this is where it might have been nice to read previous books!) likes to play match-maker and she’s got her match-making eyes set on these two.
This book is very cute but you really have to like fast moving relationships. This doesn’t take place over a whole lot of time and a lot happens very quickly. I’ll stop there but it’s just a pretty quick book. The book itself is rather short and then the relationships inside the pages aren’t over very long periods of time so it’s fast moving. Still, it’s well written with very good characters who have terrific personalities and are just fun to hang around with for the duration of the story. I’d recommend this book and perhaps the series but since this is the only one I’ve read out of it I can only safely recommend this one.
The audiobook for this book is also incredible. I was able to get a copy of it through Netgalley and it’s very well done. The narrator is fantastic and the characters really come to life when you get a chance to listen to them come to life. Highly recommend both the book and the audio.

Thank you so much to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the audiobook copy of this book!
