This is one of those books that you read twice. Once because you want to zip through and find out who survives, who wins, and what the hell happens. Second time to enjoy the writing, the characterisation and the tense plotting. The third in a series, this can be read alone but you’ll enjoy it more if you’ve read the other two. It helps to understand the tensions in Rachel and Claire’s relationship and why Yumiko is such a treacherous foe.

Ms Clarke is very skilled at piling on the angst and keeping you guessing. The good guys do not come through unscathed and indeed sometimes the good guys make decisions that are very grey. But it always seems credible and in keeping with the characters as created.

I do enjoy Ms Clarke’s writing and will be looking out for her next book. I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley

The final part of a trilogy. Each book could be read on its own but it is more interesting to read them in sequence and follow the story of Rachel's attempts to find and deal with the people who stole her security programme (who are in turn trying to eliminate her). Interspersed is her romance with Claire and their fraught lifestyle because of the ongoing situation between Rachel and her nemesis. It is quite action filled in places but can be a bit bland in other parts. Claire seems to redeem herself eventually but I find her rather whiny a lot of the time.
On the whole it is quite a good story although I liked the 2nd book best.

Shadow Dancers is an action packed story that I enjoyed.
I would recommend that reading the first two books in the series would be helpful to follow the story.
Rachel and Claire have to a point where life seems to be going better for them until two of Rachel's team members go missing.
Rachel will do what she must to find them which causes a rift with Claire.
This is a fast moving story that will keep you guessing about the next move by Yumiko, the woman who is out for revenge.

If you enjoyed the first two books then you don't want to miss this dramatic ending.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for this ARC.

In the final and third book of the Moon Shadow series, the author enlarged the territory of Rachel’s enemy, Eshee Yumiko and doubled up her threat with her plotting and lurking in the shadows. The pacing was on point and kept readers guessing where, who and how the next attack might strike. While everyone is in danger, some did not survive.

I enjoyed the series, it was well balanced, the romancing and suspense were complementary with each threat directed at Rachel and Claire. A particular favourite of mine were the trips the pair took to Rachel’s land which were moments of tenderness in their otherwise boisterous and treacherous world.

I just reviewed Shadow Dancers by Suzie Clarke. Thank you NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for the ARC.

This is the third and final in the Moon Shadow series and it really helps to read these books in order. Rachel Portola and her wife Claire again find their lives in danger. Eshee Yumiko is determined to kill them and everyone around them because of things in the previous stories. Working with her secret government agency team it goes from one action packed moment to the next. I don't want to share many details. There is another romance happening as well. This is a good ending to there series. If you liked the first two you will enjoy this one. It is for action/thriller readers. The relationship between Rachel and Claire is sweet and still growing in trust and dealing with such dangerous work. I particularly liked the ending. Thank you to NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and voluntarily leaving my review.

Rachel and Claire are starting to breathe again after what happen in the second book but life throws more at them when Rachel struggle to not put their lives in danger again. This time around Rachel has to be the hunter if she wants to end this and give Claire the peaceful life she wants.

I enjoy this read I won’t dive into what happens but the only thing that annoyed me is Claire I get she tired of being in danger and thinks Rachel thrives on it at one point I was like Rachel deserve better then Claire yes Rachel put her life on the line but it’s the only way she can end this.
