I really liked this book and can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

The characters have depth and I loved tagging along with them watching the journey unfold.

A fab read

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
Jesse just found his biological twin brother six months ago and steps in to help him in protecting an invention Scott came up with.
Crystal is sent by her uncle to retain the land around Scott’s property however Crystal and Jesse (playing Scott) are unaware of the magnitude of this invention.
As things start to unravel and Crystal and Jesse grow closer, there are some outcomes that may prevent them from being together. Can they stick together through thick and thin?

Another great story by Ruth! I've read several of her books and have rarely been disappointed. I would highly recommend this read to any lover of romance and great story telling! Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC. Based on the description of this book and the actual reading of the book it is a little bit misleading. It is not your typical twin switch, in fact we barely have the other twin in the picture. The story was interesting and there’s a bit of a mystery to it however it ends very abruptly. I guess it must be part of a series otherwise I can’t see the author just ending it the way she did it. I wanted to know how it ended but I don’t know if I’m interested enough to read the next in the series. All opinions on my own.

Cardello's fans will not be disappointed with this new series. Jesse's story is the first installment. The story is original and I, for one cannot wait until the next book in the series. Strictly Business is a great way to spend a few hours with a very satisfying read!

Ruth Cardello brings us the beginning of a new series: The Switch Book 1. Businessman Jesse finds out that he has a twin brother who was separated from him at birth when they were each adopted by different families. Jesse goes out to the farm to help his brother out. While posing as his brother, Jesse meets Crystal who is delivering papers for her uncle who hopes to buy his farm. The more time Jesse spends with Crystal, the more he can see a life with her in it. The only problem is that Crystal thinks Jesse is actually his brother. Once the truth comes out, will Jesse and Crystal be able to get past that hurdle and see what the future holds for them? Or will they allow past hurts and mistrust to get in their way as they juggle their feelings and family obligations?

Ruth Cardello brings us a tale of two brothers who were separated at birth and grew up in very different circumstances. We get a glimpse of their lives when Jesse pretends to be Scott and experiences his family life. We also get to peek at what Scott has been going through both at home and while he is pretending to be Jesse. It peaks your curiosity as to what he has been up to so you are eagerly waiting for the second book and his story. It will also be nice to visit with the characters you first meet in this book and see how they are doing.

I read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Montlake Publishing for this privilege.

Jesse and Scott are twin brothers separated at birth. Jesse is a successful businessman and Scott is a famer who is also a self taught scientist trying to increase his harvest. His family farm is also being targeted by an oil company eager to buy him out. The brothers switch places in what was supposed to be a short time has been extended due to romantic interests. This story was not bad but it wasn't great. The story does plod along at times but I did get through it. I will not be going on to the next book in the series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sometimes it's hard to know who to trust, but sometimes taking a leap of faith is just what is needed.

By impersonating his twin Scott, Jesse has to project a completely different personality. He is trying to save his twin's business from those who wish to purchase for their own benefit. In doing so, he discovers that his brother has been guarding a secret which could attract unscrupulous individuals.

Crystal is sent by her uncle to convince Jesse to sign a sales document. Instantly, he is put on his guards. It might be a ploy. He is attracted to her, but family and business come first. She is just as attracted to him and when things appear to take a turn for the better, everything turns sour. It's difficult to trust that she has no ulterior motives. Will they take that leap of faith and hope that everything will work out?

It's a well portrayed story. Jesse and Crystal show maturity and get to the bottom of the real reasons why there is so much interest in Scott. Their relationship develop fairly quickly after getting over the initial bumps. The animals bring that extra something to the story. Although it ends on a good note, it appears that there is more to come about Scott. It's a good concept.

I received an eARC from Netgalley and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

Strictly Business is a clever story about twin brothers who were separated at birth and adopted by two very different families. Jesse and Scott only have been aware of their relationship for a short time, but the twin bond is strong and when Scott needs help Jesse steps in. The switch was to be a very short one, but fate has other plans. Ms. Cardello never disappoints and as always she plots her stories to include family, some warm, some more distant, high rollers in business, secrets, villains, romance that curls readers’ toes….and especially the need for honesty in the face of all the secrets. This basically is Jesse’s story, but I was happy to find hints in the last chapter that led me to think Scott’s story will be coming. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.

An unusual and unexpected journey from successful business man to seeing how the smallest things can change your life. When Jesse found out he had a twin brother Scott changed everything. Jesse knew he was adopted but finding a brother that looks just like himself, had Jesse protective nature for family to kick in. Jesse steps in to pretend to be Scott when and oil company comes knocking to buy Scotts family farm. But Jesse did not expect Crystal, beautiful woman to bring the offer to Scott on the farm. Crystal drops by to talk to Scott about the proposal and is surprised by her reaction to Jesse who she thinks is Scott.
Jesse and Crystal have a chemistry neither can deny but can they trust the other to tell the truth of who they are and what are their motives in this deal.

Great easy read. Thank you to Netgalley for complimentary copy.

Ooh what a read!

Jesse and Crystal - what to say... One started as arrogant and the other not so sure but soon it all changed. I liked their story in spite of them falling hard for each other within few days off their first meet!

The story line was interesting and the way it developed was good too. We will get to know more in the next in series.

Can't wait for Scott's book!

A great story about family and learning to trust, and our two strong characters Jessie and Crystal are discovering more about themselves along the way. Nicely put together and keeps you interested, looking forward to reading more from this author.

This was an entertaining, easy read, just perfect when reading by the fire on a chilly afternoon. Jesse started out as your typical arrogant rich guy but was soon changed, not just by Crystal but also by his twin’s farm (which was the last place that he thought that he wanted to be). From their first meeting, sparks were flying. I liked that Crystal was very forthcoming and stronger than you thought that she would be. I, also, liked that once Jesse realized that what he had with Crystal, he was pretty honest before furthering their relationship. I can’t wait for Scott’s story, there’s more going on with him than we surmised. I hope that Thane gets his own happily ever after, too.

Such a good and quick read! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the story flow. I like that Crystal was smart and empowered to make her own decisions, and really held Jesse accountable throughout the novel.
