I have loved everything I've read by Winter Renshaw (and I believe that's everything she's published) and The Dirty Truth is no exception. All the characters in the story felt like real people, not roles (the bestie, the ex, etc) and the arc was perfect. Not too drawn out, not too insta. The angst was interspersed, but not ridiculous, and was resolved believably.
Not all real stories have HEAs, of course, but that's one of the reasons I'm a fan of them in books ; I don't need verité, I need well-done, could-have-been-true tales that leave me smiling. Check, check and check.
I am an ARC reviewer, but I'd have bought the book on my own anyway (and probably written a glowing appraisal. This author is a fave). If I don't like a book, getting it for free won't sway me to lie. All of which is to say, the preceding is my (not-so-) Dirty Truth. Elle and West's story is worth your time, your attention and your cash, IMHO.😀
