I got this eARC from NetGalley and these opinions are my own. I was so intrigued by this book that I read it in one day, couldn’t put it down! A group of 10 influencers, all teens and young adults, are invited to this exclusive island for an all expenses paid vacation. When they get there things aren’t really what they seem though, there’s no one else on the island. All 10 have a secret and someone knows what it is. Then they start dying, are they really alone on the island or is the killer among them? One of my favorite books is Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None and this book reminded me of that a lot! Going in to the book I was worried that having the point of view of so many characters might be difficult to create depth but Kate Williams does an excellent job of providing background and depth on all ten characters! They all of flaws but it shows they are all human as well! I think I enjoyed Emma Jean the most! I also liked how the why of it all was presented in this book, I think Kate found a unique way of presenting that information! I had an idea of how it would play out but didn’t know who and was very surprised by that! If you like mysteries this book is worth the read! Can’t wait to read it again!

Full of twists and turns. A group of people are brought to a private island as a ruse. Yet as you keep reading things are definitely not as they appear. Could not put it down. Highly recommend. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

YA fans.. this book was incredible. I literally could not put it down. Without giving away too much of the book, a group of influencers get invited to this incredible vacation on a secluded island. They quickly realize this is not the vacation that they thought they were taken. They are all trapped on this island and there is no way off. They were invited because they all had a secret...what it is, I can't tell you! Once the first guest dies, it is game on! Who is the killer? Are the accusations true? And.....ohhhh that ending!!! Wait until you read it! I gave this book 5 wonderful stars.
Thank you, NetGalley, for allowing me to preview this book!

This is a great quick-paced, thriller. Although it is aimed for a younger demographic than my own, I was still able to enjoy it. The premise of the entire "cast" being influencers felt very relatable to today's society where is seems everyone wants to be an influencer. And the characters all came from different backgrounds with different focus areas for the following, so I thought it was a great mix of them all. I will say... it is a bit brutal for such young characters. I wasn't quite expecting that, but it also didn't affect my rating, just took me by surprise. I loved the setting and the idea of this mystery island for the exclusive. Apart from the whole murder bit, I'd really like to go to a mystery quiet island. It did give me modern-day Christie vibes, which I mean as a wonderful compliment. The multiple POVs were a little hard to track at times but it was great to read from more than one point. I think the younger demographic will really really enjoy this novel.

The page at the front with the characters, their followers, and what they do was a HUGE help, especially in the beginning when I was still trying to remember who was who so very thankful that was included.

An invite to the new exclusive, invite-only, tropical island is only for the elite influencers. They get a free vacation and a chance to brag to their followers. There seems to be an influencer from each corner of the internet. The first ten people chosen think they have been chosen because of who they are and what they bring to the internet/world but what they don't know is that someone knows their deepest secrets and THAT is why they were brought to this island in an undisclosed location. They were told they were going for a relaxing vacation, but now it seems they may never be coming home...

Thank you to Netgalley and Random House for early access to this one!

An exotic, remote island. A free stay at a luxurious hotel. Ten influencers. What could go wrong? Beauty guru. Rich girl. CEO. Chef. Gamer girl. musician. DJ. Politician. Sports star. Environmentalist. All come from vastly different girls and accept the free trip to Unknown Island in order to build their brand. The only things they have in common? They are all under 21 and someone thinks they are murderers. When things turn deadly almost as soon as they arrive, will anyone make it off the island alive?

I enjoyed this novel. It was fast-paced and a quick read. I enjoyed the storyline and learning about the characters. I didn't want to put it down which is always a good sign! I will say that I didn't enjoy the ending. I felt that it was a little too vague and unsatisfying. The way it was written made it feel almost unfinished and didn't give the pay off that one expects at the end of a thriller.

I was the wrong audience for this. I think a teenager might enjoy this more. The book discussed social media followers and each character represented a different high school group such as a jock, rich girl, dancer, gamer etc

Interesting book, but no for my demographic. Teens and YAs will appreciate it much more than a senior citizen.

Never Coming Home by Kate M. Williams is going to be THE beach read of 2022!! (But since I read it on a snowy day in Connecticut, I can also say that it was a perfect book to read by a crackling fire. I started it during daylight and by the time I finished, I was surprised to realize that it was nearly midnight.) Great, modern take on And Then There Were None. Highly recommend!!

This sleek and updated homage to Agatha Christie’s AND THEN THERE WERE NONE was a super fun beach read, full of satisfying twists!

I have yet to find a thriller that blows me away because each book that i read is so lackluster that i can alwas guess the ending before its even revealed. this book sadly missed the mark for me.

I was hooked by a lot of aspects of this book — the Agatha Christie-esque themes, the influencer cast and the tropical island setting. While it wasn't my favorite take on any of those aspects, it was still a quick and enjoyable read. I did hone in on the murderer fairly early, but the author provided enough twists to make me question myself. And while the cast felt a bit large to keep track of, I love how Williams wrapped up the very end of the book.

So much yes! Loved this book! Such a wild ride. This book was short, but definitely worth it!

10 “influencers” go to a private island. Some for money, some for exposure, some to get away. However, when they get to Unknown Island, they soon discover the island knows their secrets and nothing is as it seems.

One by one the influencers are picked off. Why? And who? Well, that’s the best part. The Who wasn’t apparent until the very end. There were a couple of times were I thought I knew, then something changed my mind. How the author chose to expose the “who” was brilliant. I love books that give the how and why, as well. 10/10 recommend!!

I'm still not sure what I think of this YA book. It was a fast read and fairly well done but wow. It's basically a slasher movie. Ten young influencers, all under 21, are invited to an exclusive island, but they quickly realize it was a trap and they're sitting ducks, all for things in their pasts. If you're cool with teenagers (sometimes pretty young and/or likable ones) getting brutally murdered, this will be a fun read. It's kind of bizarre, as it's told through all of their POVs but (view spoiler) You have to decide for yourself what makes people villains and worthy of death. I'm not sure any of their back stories made them deserve death, though a few of them were very unlikable and self absorbed. The end felt a little ridiculous to me, and unsatisfying as the explanation of it all. I'm sure lots of people will eat it up, as it's about terrible things happening to rich, famous, privileged people.

I read an ARC of this book for review.

I think this book will be loved by teens in high school as it deals with "influencers" as an adult, it was a little off for me, but I loved the murder mystery part of all of it.
This book I though i knew who the killer was but I was wrong, Can you figure it out?

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced reader’s copy!

This premise has been done multiple times. Over the years, basically a modern play on Christie's And Then There Were None. I really didn't have any expectations for the book just because it's been done so many times before. Surprisingly the book was pretty decent, if your looking for a quick who done it, this may be for you! The writing was very good and the characters were well written also. I had ideas who the killer was, but the ending actually surprised me! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Looking at this particular read as an educator interested in the perspective of teen readers, I truly think this is a fun and interesting read that they will enjoy!

Top teen influencers left on an mysterious island being murdered? It was a fun ride to embark upon. I really think teenage readers would enjoy many of the characters and the mystery is fresh and keeps you guessing.

The only thing I found difficult was having to follow all the characters as opposed to just sticking with the perspective of a particular protagonist or a few. It kept it difficult to keep track of in my head.

Never Coming Home is a fun, quick, and engaging read that I am sure younger readers would have lots of fun with!

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced reader’s copy!

Love Love Loved it!
This had all of the components I live for - locked room mystery, set on a beautiful tropical paradise with the added interest of cultural phenomenons. In this novel, 10 social media young adults are invited to spend a weekend at the brand new hotel and resort on Unknown Island. Everything is free, no on over 21 allowed and the media has whipped everyone into a frenzy to be invited.

However as soon as they land, the 10 chosen realize nothing is what it seems. Little by little they realize they have all been invited because of a secret. Is unknown island a paradise or a trap?

I didn't realize this is actually YA, until I looked up the publishers! it was so good and truly thrilling and original. A lot of information and action happens early on, but you are still guessing throughout the whole story. I particularly enjoyed the background given on each of the "media stars." Williams presented several great characters that you want to root for, the question is, are you rooting for a hero/ine? If you like locked room mysteries, trouble in paradise settings, cultural commentary or just a thriller that you cannot put down then #NeverComingHomeIsForYou! #Delacourte #RandomHouse #NetGalley

I ended up liking this one more than I thought I would. Who doesn't love reading about murder on an island.
