Samantha Chase has me in love with chocolate chip peppermint cookies! Getting stuck in an elevator with the best looking man in the building should not be a hardship, right? Hannah finds herself panicking a little until she hunkers down and whips out the cookies she brought home from Thanksgiving dinner. Gage has taken notice of the pretty woman before, but now knowing he will be with her for a while, the to begin to get to know each other. Both have great families, but Gage's are a little intrusive when it comes to his dating. The two come up with a plan, and Hannah is going to their house for Christmas as his fake girlfriend. Now if only feelings won't get in the way! I love this story! It's full of witty banter, fun family antics, and Christmas cheer! Hannah is definitely a woman with ambition, but her heart is full when it comes to Gage and his family. Gage is sweet and loving, and his life realizations are just heart melting. This book is the perfect listen for this time of year and has made me want to bake! Give this one a listen, it's wonderful.

Elizabeth Cottle is our story teller and is wonderful. This is the first time I have heard her, and she definitely knows how to give us all the feels, and create characters with a realistic flare. Each person is distinct and she is fantastic at going from older to young in a flash! I enjoyed her narration and will be watching for more from this talent.

I am familiar with this author and always enjoyed her books. It was still enjoyable, light and fun about fake girlfriend for the holidays. The narration was good. Her books make you feel many emotions. The supporting characters were enjoyable. However, my only "issue" is that Hannah - fake girlfriend seemed like a winer and the good guy Gage who was too tame and putting up. (a basic good guy) They make a good couple and have a great connection. It is an easy flowing read. Regardless, I would recommend this to other people because this author is good and worth getting to know.

Like I needed a new book boyfriend!

Does the fact I love Gage make me a book ho? A book ho ho ho?

This was cute and while I hated Hanna thru most of the book and wanted to shake some sense into her, I wound up loving this story so dang much!

Would make an excellent Hallmark movie.

His for the Holidays by Samantha Chase

Hannah Christy just wants to get to her apartment she enters the elevator to take her there and she is pleased she is the only one as the door closes in comes handsome Gage Lawson. The elevator begins to go up and all of a sudden everything stops. A truck hits the power lines and now they are stuck in the elevator. What better place right to be stuck with a handsome guy. They talk with each other while waiting to be set free. While in the elevator Hannah suggests to Gage that he needs a fake girlfriend to help him make it through Christmas with his meddling mother and sisters. This is where the story takes off fake partners for the holidays.

This was such a cute holiday Christmas story. I am hear for it. I did not know how much I needed this today. I gushed over the cuteness of this romance. I laughed at the shenanigans. This was a very quick romance to read. I loved the chemistry Hannah and Gage had between each other it oozed off of the pages.

Narrated by Elizabeth Cottle she did a great job with giving each character a voice and it was easy to distinguish each character. This was not my first Samantha Chase and I know it will not be my last one. This is a five star read for me because I need a cute romance around the holiday and this fit the bill. I recommend this to anyone who needs a pick me up cuteness filled romance you will love the chemistry between Hannah and Gage.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for a free audio copy of His for the Holidays for an honest review. All thoughts and ideas expressed in this review are my own.

This holiday quick read is about 200 pages or just under 6 hours for an audiobook. I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook for this holiday romance. It was a single narration but the production was well done. She still sounded well in 2x speed. This is a fake dating trope, he falls first, home for the holidays, all the realism you want in a holiday read. You’ll enjoy this closed door romance this holiday season.

Think Hallmark, with a bit of heat!
In no way is this a smutty read - all scenes are closed door - but there are some heated make-outs and set ups to the closed-door scenes. Think PG-13 rating.

Much like the classic Hallmark holiday files, the trope of insta-love is alive and well in His for the Holidays. After becoming inconveniently trapped in an elevator together , Hannah and Gage plan to fake date just for the holidays so Gage can get his family off his back. But, as hoped for and anticipated, they both catch feels and soon the only people they're fooling is themselves.

This was my first read from Samantha Chase and I really enjoyed it. The story was great and easy to digest, and I was satisfied that the characters were well-rounded and the relationship between the two mains made sense. I'll definitely be on the lookout to see if she has any other holiday reads I can get my hands on!

Thank you to NetGalley, Samantha Chase and Dreamscape Media for the advanced copy. This is my honest review.

This is my favourite time of year and I love Christmas romances and His for the Holidays is a magical holiday read, it was everything I have come to expect from the very talented Samantha Chase.
Elizabeth Cottle is a new narrator to me but she did a wonderful job bring the characters and their support to life. Her narration has really put me in the mood for the upcoming holiday season and I look forward to listening to more from her.
Gage Lawson and Hannah Christy meet when the lift they are in breaks down and that’s when the fun begins. There’s nothing like an enclosed space to have you confessing your problems and what is expected of you in the upcoming holiday season and Gage decides he needs a fake girlfriend to stop his family setting him up with all their neighbours and friends.
Hannah has no plans for Christmas so this plan sounds like fun but what will happen when feelings come Into play and what will happen when Hannah finds herself not only falling for the man but also falling for his family……
This is a magical read that’s sweet and charming, it has wonderful characters that you can’t help loving and it’s a story that will certainly add some holiday cheer and put you n the mood for Christmas. Wonderful read that I highly recommend.

Hannah & Gage have that dreamy meet cute of being stuck in an elevator during a power outage. Both have noticed each other in the building, but neither have taken the time to introduce themselves. Well… ow is a perfect opportunity.
Both find that the other is very easy to talk to, & Gage finds that she just might be the perfect stranger to help him figure out his single on a holiday at home issues. A game of Truth or Dare sets the wheels in motion.
When these two are together, they possess this level of chemistry where they are either going to be the greatest romance or the absolute best of friends. They just jive well. And lucky for us, they have potential to be the greatest romance.
Gage falls fast and he owns it…to himself, at least. He knows that she is something special & he wants more. Hannah, though, she is focused on her career and finding her next place in to land in her career. Her insistence that they couldn’t be more because of her work really frustrated me. She was also a bit of a doormat at work, but honestly, I think I am the same way. But as their relationship shifted, so did her confidence in what she does & she sees her true worth.
Gage’s pursuit of Hannah had me with heart eyes & their special moments had me paying close attention.
Elizabeth Cottle’s narration was great. She did an awesome job in distinguishing between different characters and kept me in the story.

I started listening and parts felt familiar, and I finally realized that I read this one. I looked up my original review and I gave it 5 stars. This time I'm only giving it 3 because the narration was just okay, I've heard better, and I've heard worse. Also because the sex scenes were closed door, which I really don't like. I'd rather it be straight up clean, which this is not, because there is swearing. I don't know if I didn't notice before, but Hannah was kind of annoying. She was too stubborn and close minded, thinking her family was disappointed in her, her being on this ridiculous mission to land the perfect job, it was just too much. But in the moments with gage and his family, she was better, more likable. Overall it had a nice ending, but I'll have to remember that I've already "read" this one twice now, and that's enough.

🎄Forced Proximity
🎄Fake dating

🌶️ on the spice scale. Super cute storyline.

I listened to this on audio and it was so good! Perfect to get a Christmas fix! Gives Hallmark movie vibes. It’s not my usual listen, but that doesn’t take away from the great writing of the author. If you need an uplifting story, read this.

Such a great audiobook to listen to during the holiday season!! Elizabeth Cottle did such a great job narrating. It was easy to forget I was listening to only one person. The story is a classic forced proximity / fake dating / he falls first romance surrounding an FMC in the middle of a life crisis and an MMC trying to get his mom and multiple sisters off his back for the holidays.

5 star review His For The Holidays by Samantha Chase
AUDIO REVIEW:
I loved stories set around the holidays and add in that it is by one of my feel good go to authors Samantha Chase and I was all in. His For the Holidays was an entertaining read and as I have come to expect from Ms.Chase it was well written with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in.
From the first chapter I liked Hannah Christy and her neighbor Gage Lawson. For me they were well suited and made a great couple. After having spent Thanksgiving with meddling families and getting trapped in an elevator together Gage comes up with the perfect way to plan for Christmas. A fake relationship. However we all know that the best laid plans don’t always work out and this quickly becomes obvious..
The chemistry between Hannah and Gage was intense and they found themselves moving from fake to real. I loved how determined Gage was to get his girl. I fell hard and fast for this soon worthy man.
New to me narrator Elizabeth Cottle did a wonderful job with her narration. Her voice is easy to listen to and she certainly put me in the mood for the Christmas season. She did justice to the entertaining story that Samantha Chase wove.
Can Gage convince Hannah to take a chance on him? One click and find out.
I received a copy from the oublisher thrugh Netgalley.

Exhausted upon returning from her Thanksgiving visit with family, Hannah is ready to get upstairs, change into pajamas and order food delivery. She bumps into her sexy neighbor, Gage, and they share an elevator. Gage is also returning from the Thanksgiving holiday where his family continues to try and play matchmaker, parading different women to family events in an attempt to encourage Gage to settle down. Similarly, he is also drained of energy and looking forward to being home alone with some food delivery.

A sudden stop of the elevator has both Hannah and Gage concerned, but a power outage is to blame, and their escape is an unknown amount of time away. In an effort to pass the time, Hannah shares her mom's Christmas cookies and wine with Gage, while they get to know each other.

After sharing about his overbearing family, Hannah suggests that he enlist someone to pretend and be his girlfriend for Christmas, so his family might stop trying to set him up with random women. Gage is a bit taken back, as he doesn't want to lie to his family, but the idea isn't bad. During a round of truth or dare, Gage dares Hannah to be his pretend girlfriend, but she declines. Sparks are flying, but is it just the wine?

A misunderstanding has Hannah introduced to Gage's family as his girlfriend. Throughout the story, Gage wonders if everything is for show, or if his feelings for Hannah are real. Great book and fantastic narrator!

4 out of 5 stars.

This was a cute, closed door Christmas romance. It started as a fake dating story but QUICKLY turned into more than that. Hannah and Gage were very sweet and sincere. The story was elevated by the fact that it takes place in NC (Raleigh and a small town near Chimney Rock).

I wanted to love this one. I really did. I have read so many of her other books. But this one was more.... fake than anything. The way it played out, it just wasn't good. I was sadly disappointed by this one. The idea was cute, but that was about it.

Cozy romance book. A nice light read. Very atmospheric especially for the Christmas time. If you like cozy reads and Hallmark movies this is for you.

Hannah was planning on heading home for a night of indulging in sweet treats while doing some prep work for a promotion that she was hoping for. Her plans changed when she got trapped inside an elevator with her sexy neighbor. They actually had a great time in the elevator as she had the best Christmas cookies that Gage had ever tasted along with delicious spice wine. In addition, she had great getting-to-know-you games that they played.
After being trapped with his matchmaking family over Thanksgiving, he was dreading being alone with them again at Christmas. During the time in the elevator, Gage comes up with the idea of Hannah coming to his family Christmas events as his fake girlfriend. To his surprise, she agrees. They had a great time with the family and then Gage realizes that we want the fake romance to be a real relationship. This is a fun rom com that I highly recommend.

His for the Holidays is another special story from author Samantha Chase, an excellent tale from a consummate author of both holiday and romance stories.

Hannah Christy, not at her best after a long day of travel from her Thanksgiving visit to her family in Baltimore to her Raleigh home, and IT specialist Gage Lawson, Mr. GQ!, become stuck in their apartment building elevator. After a tin of homemade cookies, two bottles of wine, and several hours of talking, because it seems one can bare one’s soul to a stranger in an elevator, they come up with what is perhaps an I’ll advised plan to thwart his mother and four sisters as they plan to set him up over the holidays. Hannah, high on what she believes to be a big upcoming, promotion, does not readily take Gage up on being his partner. Once her dreams are dashed Hannah has other ideas.

The more time the pair has to plan the closer they become. In fact, with Hannah’s rather forced vacation, they leave early for his mother’s 55+ condo home 2 weeks early. In that time they learn more, become closer, and come to a point where there just might be a happily ever after in their future—that is until Hannah runs!

This is a sweet heartwarming story of two skittish people brought together in the most unusual of ways. I did enjoy this story and I do recommend it!
