This book is exactly what it says on the tin and for that I LOVE it.

This is the perfect Christmas audiobook for escaping from the holiday chaos of your own event and into the festive holiday chaos of Hannah and Gage and forced proximity and fake dating.

Bring on the tropes, bring on the pining, bring on the Christmas cookies and sweet family antics.

The audiobook was really well done, too! It's just one narrator for both perspectives, but the voices are good and I'm glad I got to read it like that.

I would absolutely recommend this book!

This book felt like it could be a real life story. A man and woman get stuck n a elevator together. they are both in situations where they need to essentially use each other for one reason or the other. He needs a pretend girlfriend for the holidays and she needs a reality check. During it all he actually does fall in love with her and she needs a reality check to see that yes she does run from hard life circumstances and she realizes she has fallen in love with him too! Its a cute love story set around Christmas and New Years.

This audiobook was SUCH an engaging read! I loved the story itself and the narrator was completely engrossing as well. I would read this book as a treat EVERY December!

This was a charming, delightful, romance read. This had all the Hallmark feels!

While stuck in an elevator, Gage and Hannah are not sure about each other but after some wine and cookies there is clearly a mutual attraction. Hannah agrees to be Gage's fake girlfriend for the holidays to stop his mother and sister's from constantly trying to set him up on dates. Will Gage pull off the fake-dating? Will this fake relationship lead to a real one? You have to pick up this next read to find out!

I really enjoyed this cheerful, feel-good audiobook. This is my first Samantha Chase audiobook, but definitely not my last!

His for the Holidays is a cute Christmas romance about two strangers who get stuck in an elevator, decide to fake date over the holidays, and then fall for each other. It was filled with cliches but still managed to be cute. I liked the audiobook narrator and had a moment where I thought maybe it wasn’t completely predictable, which was nice. 3.5*

This book was everything I was hoping it would be when I made the request for the holiday season!

His for the Holidays starts with two neighbors getting stuck in an elevator in their apartment building for several hours. Hannah and Gage spend the time diving in to holiday treats and sipping on wine while also getting to know each other more than just a mere hallway passing. Several hours later as their elevator escapades come to end, they have come up with a plan for fake dating through the holidays.

What I loved about this book was the strong family ties interwoven by each character through the story. I always find characters who have a love for their family so completely heart warming. I also loved how dedicated Gage was to getting to know Hannah and standing by her even though for most of the book she waffled back and forth on her true feelings for Gage.

This book is a great read for those who like fake dating tropes, novels interwoven with family, and a male protagonist who will do anything to be with the female of his heart. Oh and of course, if you are a fan of holiday reads this will make a great one for the season.

I also thought the Narrator did a great job in accurately portraying the characters in this story.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for allowing me to read an early copy of this book!

This was a truly fun, sweet listen. Great characters, both wanting desperately to avoid family scrutiny over the holiday season and just be and do whatever they want. That is not going to happen for either of them! Hannah and Gage are neighbors who “meet cute” when stuck together in an elevator. Gage agrees to be her fake boyfriend over the holidays so she can doesn’t have to hear the inevitable “are you dating anyone special” special kind of torture only a family can give. Their trip begins with an accident and goes from there. Its a fun well narrated listen. I enjoyed this light fun holiday listen and look forward to more from this author.

This was a sweet Holiday romance! The setup for the couple was adorable and the whole story flowed rather smoothly.
The characters were likable and the ending was full of heart. A nice read if you enjoy fade to black love scenes especially.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC.

This was one of the best "fake relationship to true romance" books I've read! It has just the right amount of light heartedness, low drama, humor, and romance to make it work. I loved their individual storylines and family relationships and it was great as an audiobook. First time I've read a book by this author but I'll definitely be looking for more.

I enjoyed listening this story. I thought it was cute. What starts out as chance meeting while stuck in an elevator becomes so much more. I liked the story and it flowed well enough. I thought the plot was fun but predictable. It didn't take away from my enjoyment though because I like a good story even the ones I can predict. I have read and enjoyed this author before and I am sure I will again in the future as well. Hannah and Gage were great together even when they were "pretending" and helping each other out. I am sure others will enjoyt his holiday story as well. I would recommend it to those who enjoy this genre and a quick and easy read.

Sweet, low angst, holiday romance. Hannah Christy gets trapped in an elevator for hours with handsome Gage Lawson. They live in the same apartment building. They spend hours getting to know each other eating cookies and drinking wine. After Gage laments having to spend Christmas with his matchmaking mom and sisters Hannah suggest bringing along a fake girlfriend. She isn't planning on it being her until circumstances make it happen. Passed up for a promotion she'd been planning on she goes with him to his family holiday celebration.

Of course they're attracted to each other and fall easily into a real romance. Intimacy is off the page. This is a stand alone, feel good romance that doesn't take a lot of thought. I've only read one other of Chase's many book but I will look for future books from her. I listened to this book and narrator Elizabeth Cottle does a great job voicing the characters. I was entertained and enjoyed the story. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I apologize. I am getting older and have a limited number of reading/listening hours left in my life, and I could not force myself to finish this title. I got 1/3 of the way through and did not feel any affinity/liking for either the hero or heroine. They're both too whiny, and their first-world, spoiled, complaining attitudes about their parents/families were a bit insufferable. And the implausibility gauge kept zinging into the preposterous zone. (Finishing two bottles of wine while being closed in an elevator for a relatively short time??) There was nothing offensive about the writing style or the narration (although I didn't love the narrator, myself) and I'm sure there will be readers/listeners who enjoy the story. No doubt it would make a satisfactory Hallmark holiday movie.

While this was my first time reading Samantha Chase's writing, His for the Holiday definitely won't my my last! Lighthearted humor flows throughout the entire story, and this is one seriously feel-good romance.

While getting stuck in an elevator might not be a groundbreaking meet-cute, Hannah and Gage have terrific chemistry, and their mutual attraction is clear. These two are adorable, and I was plugging for their happily ever after from the very first page.

Interesting aspects of Hannah's personality come to light as she faces up to her work goals, and Gage has family drama which kept me chuckling. A very enjoyable holiday romance.

The audio version is performed by Elizabeth Cottle who's plucky, cheerful voice works perfectly for this story. There's a large cast of characters, and a wide variety of ages represented in His for the Holidays, and I'm impressed by Elizabeth Cottle's impressive range and skill. Well done.

A sweet holiday story! Something perfect to curl up next to fire and listen to. It made me want to try all the cookie's Hannah's mom baked.

When your family becomes overbearing in the matchmaking, the best solution is to fake a relationship! However, what happens when you start to really fall in love and aren't sure how the other person feels and you are too afraid to find out? Great plot, wonderful setting and endearing characters make this the holiday story that you need to be listening to right now! A happily ever holiday story to really get you in the mood for the holidays!

A fun and cute holiday book. Hannah is having a rough time at work. Hannah Christy and her neighbor Gage Lawson are going to do each other a favor for the holidays. For me they were well suited and made a great couple. After having spent Thanksgiving with meddling families and getting trapped in an elevator together Gage comes up with the perfect way to plan for Christmas. A fake relationship. Hannah has a nice growth arc in this story. She starts off as a runner-- taking off when things get hard. With some insight from Gage, she figures out how to change that dynamic and create a new future for herself. Gage’s character stays fairly even throughout the story. There’s not a huge growth arc for him, as he is pretty darn perfect as is. Gage’s family is very accepting of Hannah, and they bring about some circumstances that allow her to shine in a professional capacity. Gage’s mother has a period of introspection as well and becomes a bit more aware of what she wants from life as a result of it. These details added some depth and texture to the story. Fun, flirty and all the feels as not only are Hannah and Gage captivating characters but there is a great cast of secondary characters that enhance the story and are sure to put you in the holiday mood.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC.

I received an audiobook ARC of this book from NetGalley. I really enjoyed this book. It gives you that Hallmark holiday movie feeling, with the meet cute, fake dating, and insta-love. I wanted to give it 5 stars but it didn't really excite me like a 5 star book does. I got a little annoyed with the main characters because they both kind of jump to conclusions about how the other might be feeling and I found it frustrating. But the writing is really good and it does give me the cozy holiday vibe!

Everytime I read a new #SamanthaChase book, I know I’m going to get a sweet romance that puts a smile in my heart.
Gage & Hannah’s spark was electric from the start. I completely love their love story that starts out in the most unexpected place - an elevator - that they hold dear in their journey!
Elizabeth Cottle’s narration is perfect!

Ugh such a heart warming lovey-dovey story. Between Samantha Chase's words and the beautiful narrator the book was all around a 10 out of 10. Was it like your typical Hallmark Movie? of corse however, It was so detailed and I was able to capture every single moment visually.
